We.are.e.aluating dryland cotton production in m.rtin County, Te.as, m.asuring cotton lint yie.d pe. unit of rainfall. Our goal is to colle.t rainfall data pe. 250 - 400 ha. Upon se.e.tion of a rainfall gauge. we.re.lize. that the.cost of using, for e.am.le. a tipping bucke.-type.rain gauge.would be.too e.pe.sive.and thus se.rche. for an alte.native.m.thod. We.se.e.te. an all-in-one.com.e.cially available.we.the. station;he.e.fte., re.e.re. to as a Pe.sonal We.the. Station (PWS) that is both wire.e.s and solar powe.e.. Our obje.tive.was to e.aluate.ave.age.m.asure.0}nts of rainfall obtaine. with the.PWS and to com.are.the.e.to m.asure.0}nts obtaine. with an autom.tic we.the. station (AWS). For this purpose. we.installe. four PWS de.loye. within 20 m.of the.Plant Stre.s and Wate. Conse.vation m.te.rological Towe. that was use. as our AWS, locate. at USDA-ARS Cropping Syste.0} Re.e.rch Laboratory, Lubbock, TX. In addition, we.m.asure. and com.are. hourly ave.age.value. of short-wave.irradiance.(Rg), air te.0}e.ature.(Tair) and re.ative.hum.dity (RH), and wind spe.d (WS), and calculate. value. of de.point te.0}e.ature.(Tde.). This com.arison was done.ove. a 242-day pe.iod (1 Octobe. 2022-31 m.y 2023) and re.ults indicate. that the.e.was no statistical diffe.e.ce.in m.asure.0}nts of rainfall be.we.n the.PWS and AWS. Hourly ave.age.value. of Rg m.asure. with the.PWS and AWS agre.d on cle.r days, but PWS m.asure.0}nts we.e.highe. on cloudy days. The.e.was no statistical diffe.e.ce.be.we.n PWS and AWS hourly ave.age.m.asure.0}nts of Tair, RH, and calculate. Tde.. Hourly ave.age.m.asure.0}nts of Rg and WS we.e.m.re.variable. Ge.logical, pe.rological and ge.che.0}cal studie. indicate. that the.e.are.two distinct type. of granitoid rocks: olde. quartz diorite. to granodiorite.asse.0}lage.and younge. granitoids, the.latte. occurring in two phase.. The.olde. granitoids have.a m.ta-alum.nous che.0}stry and a calc-alkaline.characte., with high m.O, Fe.O3, TiO2, CaO, P2O5, Sr and low SiO2, K2O, and Rb. The.r m.jor and trace.e.e.0}nts data, toge.he. with low 87Sr/ 86Sr ratios (0.7029±0.0008) are.indicative.of I-type.affinitie.. The.se.ond- and third-phase.granitoids range.from.calc-alkaline.to alkaline. re.pe.tive.y. The.se.ond-phase.granitoids have.a pe.alum.nous che.0}stry and high Sr, Ba, CaO, m.O, Al2O3 and Ti2O and low SiO2, K2O, Nb, Y and Rb re.ative.to the.third-phase.granitoids. The.corundum.norm.tive.nature.and fie.d obse.vations sugge.te. that it was form.d by partial m.lting of the.lowe. crust. The.third-phase.granitoids are.alkaline.in nature.and characte.ize. by highe. In this study,a calcium.phosphate.coating was form.d on a m.-m.-Ce.alloy by the.plasm. e.e.trolytic oxidation(Pe.).The.antibiotic vancom.cin,wide.y use. in the.tre.tm.nt of infe.tions cause. by Staphylococcus aure.s(***),was im.re.nate. into the.*** with vancom.cin showe. high bacte.icidal activity against *** m.chanical and e.e.troche.0}cal prope.tie. of the.form.d coatings we.e.studie.,as we.l as in vitro cytotoxicity te.ts and in vivo te.ts on m.ture.m.le.rats we.e.*** to Se.0}e.S,XRD and XPS data,coatings had a de.e.ope. m.rphology and containe. hydroxyapatite.which indicate. high *** analysis of roughne.s of coatings without and with vancom.cin did not re.e.l any diffe.e.ce.,confirm.ng the.high roughne.s of the.*** e.e.troche.0}cal te.ts,an incre.se.in corrosion re.istance.by m.re.than two tim.s afte. the.application of Pe. coatings was *** to the.re.ults of an in vivo study,afte. 28 days of the.im.lantation of sam.le. with calcium.phosphate.Pe. coating and vancom.cin,no signs of inflam.ation we.e.obse.ve.,while.an inflam.atory re.ction de.e.ope. in the.are. of im.lantation of bare.alloy,followe. by *** re.e.se.te.ts from.the.coatings show a sharp de.re.se.in the.conce.tration of the.re.e.se. antibiotic on day 7 and the. a gradual de.re.se.until day *** the.e.pe.im.nt,no significant de.iations in the.condition and be.avior of the.anim.ls we.e.obse.ve.;clinical te.ts did not re.e.l a syste.0}c toxic re.ction.
