Effects of Fermented Nori (<i>Pyropia yezoensis</i>) Liquid Fertilizer on Plant Growth Characteristics and Nutrient Content of Komatsuna (<i>Brassica rapa</i>L. var. Wakana Komatsuna) Cultivated in Vermiculite

We conducted plant growth experiments in microbe-free vermiculite to study the effects of four types of fermented seaweed liquid fertilizer (SLF) made from nori (Pyropia yezoensis) seaweed on the germination, plant growth characteristics, SPAD value, and nutrient content and uptake of komatsuna (Brassica rapa L. var. wakana komatsuna). The four types of fermented nori SLF used in this study were prepared by anaerobic fermentation of unwashed nori (SLF1), aerobic fermentation of unwashed nori (SLF2), anaerobic fermentation of washed nori (SLF3), and aerobic fermentation of washed nori (SLF4). Komatsuna seeds treated with 200-, 300-, and 400-fold dilutions of SLFs exhibited improved relative germination ratios (RGRs) at 3 and 4 days after sowing (DAS). At 4 DAS, the RGRs of seeds treated with 10-, 100-, 200-, 300-, and 400-fold SLF dilutions showed no differential effect. Seeds treated with undiluted SLFs did not germinate by 4 DAS. SLF1 may promote komatsuna seed germination. The nitrogen (N), calcium, magnesium, sodium (Na), and iodine (I) contents of plants treated with SLF1 were significantly increased relative to plants treated with the other SLFs. Moreover, the I and Na contents of plants were significantly increased by foliar spray application of different dilutions of SLF1. however, SLF treatment markedly reduced the shoot dry weight compared with 1/2-strength modified hoagland nutrient (MhN) solution, although the same amounts of N and K were applied. SPAD values of the plants treated with SLFs were significantly higher than those of plants treated with MhN. Foliar treatment with SLFs had no significant effect on plant growth, SPAD value, or uptake of nutrients (except Na) relative to the control, but the I content was increased. Plants treated with SLF1 and SLF2 exhibited the highest Na uptake. Foliar spray treatments with SLF1 resulted in the highest I contents in plants. Conventional and Fractal Variogram Based on Time—Space Analysis of Seismicity Distribution—Case Study: Algeria Seismicity (1673-2010)

Geostatistics belongs to the wide class of statistical methods. It is used and applied to analyze and predict the values associated with spatial or spatio-temporal phenomena such as seismological events. Thus, in addition to its adaptability to perform spatial data analysis based on the principles of variography, many other methods more representative of the spatial distributions of the epicentres have been experimented. The unidirectional or isotropic fractal variogram associates the criterion of variance with the fractal dimension which is a better descriptive parameter of the spatial organization of events. The same analysis procedure carried out through a directional or azimuthal variogram introduces the context of a preferential direction of earthquake evolution. Moreover, b-value is a privileged seismological parameter that can be studied alone or in combination with other more advanced geostatistical analysis factors such as fractals, fractal dimensions and the anisotropic variogram. All these concepts were used as methodology for a protocol of analysis of the catalog of the Algeria seismicity including 1919 events for the period extending from 1673 to 2010. This catalog is provided by the compilation of partial catalogs synthesized by the CRAAG (Research Centre in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics).

Kidney transplantation in Indonesia: An update

Objective:Indonesia has overcome several barriers to the growth of kidney transplantation within the past ***,the procedure is increasingly performed in several centers across the *** there are limited publications on kidney transplantation from Indonesia,especially from centers outside *** study aims to give a brief overview on transplantation performed,discuss current efforts and progresses of transplantation in Indonesia and chiefly ***:Retrospective analysis of 20 transplant cases in Semarang during 2014e2018 was *** from other transplant centers was acquired through formal correspondences with 11 central teaching hospitals in Jakarta,Surabaya,Yogyakarta,Malang,Bali,Solo,Palembang,Aceh,medan,Bandung,and ***:There were 629 recorded kidney transplantations performed in 12 centers,and we report on 245 cases with viable *** average age of kidney recipients were younger(35.4 years old)compared to the donors(41.3 years old).Approximately half of the kidneys were obtained from related donors(49.0%)and there was only one case of cadaveric *** three leading etiologies of end-stage renal disease were hypertension(37.4%),diabetes mellitus(26.1%),and autoimmune disease(11.3%).There is only one center that has performed more than 100 kidney transplants in ***:Indonesia has successfully overcome several major hurdles that had previously hindered the growth of *** improvement should concentrate on the development of integrated organ transplant infrastructure,decentralization of transplant professionals,establishment of National kidney transplant database and changing the Nation’s paradigm on cadaveric organ donor through public education.

Development of New Modality Municipal Public Transportation for Guangzhou——Group Rapid Transit System as Supplementary Linkage from Guangzhou City Center to its Eastern Tourism Zone

As one of the primary business centers of China, Guangzhou has been undergoing rapid growth and expansion. Over the past decade, the Guangzhou Municipality Government has significantly upgraded its transport infrastructure, especially with the highly beneficial expansion of its Subway Mass Rapid Transit(MRT) *** steps have also been taken to continue planning the construction of new roads, a Bus Rapid Transit(BRT)system and other transportation facilities. Further administrative and regulatory measures have also been implemented to control the situation, such as the banning of motorcycles from the central city area and the limitation of new automobile registrations. however, Guangzhou continues to face serious challenges of traffic congestion in and around the city center owing to further intensification of its population with economic growth. The need to ease Guangzhou's stretched public transportation resources,and at the same time to support the realization of its"Eastward Advance" strategy, presents a unique challenge and opportunity to develop an advanced high-efficiency public transportation modality for Guangzhou, viz. the Group Rapid Transit(GRT) involving the use of automation-guided(driverless) smart-vehicles. This paper outlines the PRT/GRT(PRT: Personal Rapid Transit) smart-vehicle modality and also puts forth a proposal of Guangzhou's first GRT route as the city's first dedicated transportation link to the scenic landscape of the Eastern Tourism *** GRT route will help in diffusing the city's traffic congestion as well as support the effectuation of Guangzhou's "Eastern Expansion" strategy, supplementing the ongoing expansion of the Guangzhou Municipality's subway MRT networks.

Value Management Practices on Major Construction Projects and Green Building

The paper starts with background information on value management(VM) in the construction industry and current development situation of the green building industry, and costs and profitability of green buildings. The paper continues with detailed analyses of the findings,covering new developments and perceptions of VM, and applications of VM in the industry. The paper also reports case studies on the practices adopted in the planning and design management phase of SIPO Guangdong Patent Examination Cooperation Center and in the construction management phase of Guangzhou International Bio-Island Standard Property Unit II project. As revealed by the practices, the value-adds and savings in construction costs through the application of VM are important for the developers, and the contributions of VM application in green building projects are significant to achieving the expected targets and to resolving the design and construction challenges encountered in the development of green building industry. And the paper presents, findings on how VM can improve construction management and coordination of several ongoing construction projects and on how VM can be systematically implemented by phases, and discussions on other potential benefits of using VM systems.

Double Elzaki Transform Decomposition Method for Solving Non-Linear Partial Differential Equations

In this paper, we discuss a new method employed to tackle non-linear partial differential equations, namely Double Elzaki Transform Decomposition Method (DETDM). This method is a combination of the Double ELzaki Transform and Adomian Decomposition Method. This technique is hereafter provided and supported with necessary illustrations, together with some attached examples. The results reveal that the new method is very efficient, simple and can be applied to other non-linear problems.

目的:比较1980～2005年在武汉大学口腔医院治疗的89位中国病人和在约旦医院治疗的120位病人三型口底囊肿的临床特点.方法:回顾性分析皮样囊肿、表皮样囊肿和畸胎样囊肿患者的年龄、性别、种族,以及比较两组患者的囊肿位置、大小、就诊时间、手术治疗方法和复发率等方面的差别.结果:209例口底囊肿中,93例(44.5%)男性,116例(55.5%)女性.皮样囊肿66例(31.6%)、表皮样囊肿115例(55%)、畸胎样囊肿28例(13.4%).皮样囊肿、表皮样囊肿多见于头3个10岁年龄组,20～29岁高发,而畸胎样囊肿高好发于10岁以前.约90%的患者无自觉症状.发病后6个月以内就诊者,第1组(43.8%)明显少于第2组(80%).这些先天性囊肿常发生在口底中部.就诊时第1组中囊肿直径大于3 cm 者达48.3%,而第2组中囊肿直径大于3 cm 者仅11.7%.第1组中经口外进路切除病变占58.4%,而第2组为41.7%.141例随访病例的术后复发25例,复发率是17.7%.结论:两组口底囊肿有类似的临床特点,其中表皮样囊肿较常见,畸胎样囊肿的发病年龄较小.手术切除不彻底可导致病变复发.
