Computer Based Assessment (CBA) is being a very popular method to evaluate students’ performance at the university level. This research aims to examine the constructs that affect students’ intention to use the CBA. The proposed model is based on previous technology models such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (TAUT). The proposed CBA model is based on nine variables: Goal Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Computer Self Efficacy, Content, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Playfulness, and Behavioral Intention. Data were collected using a survey questionnaire from 546 participants who had used the computer based exam system at the University of Jordan. Results indicate that Perceived Playfulness has a direct effect on CBA use. Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Computer Self Efficacy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Content and Goal Expectancy have only indirect effects. The study concludes that a system is more likely to be used by students if it is playful and CBA is more likely to be playful when it is easy to use and useful. Finally, the studied acceptance model for computer based assessment explains approximately only 10% of the variance of behavioral intention to use CBA.

Electronic government (e-Government) in its simplest form can mean using information and communication technology (ICT) tools to provide services to citizens. Still with the huge benefits and synergies that e-Government grants to governments and societies, it faces many obstacles and challenges. Therefore, there are always a number of critical success factors and risks associated with e-Government. This paper highlights some of the key ones;it critically assesses key factors that influence e-Government services adoption and diffusion. Thus, the aim of this study is to examine and identify the factors that influence and affect the utilization of e-Government in the developing countries, specifically in Jordan. Furthermore, this article investigates the challenges and barriers that must be overcome in order to successfully implement e-Government in Jordan. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and used in this study to collect the data. The results of this study show that the most significant challenges and factors influencing the implementation of e-Government services in Jordan are related to budgeting and financial costs, human expertise, social influence, technological issues, lack of awareness, resistance of public employees, data privacy and security, the legal framework, the needed technology, administrative obstacles, and trust or believing in e-Government. Conclusions, recommendations and future work are stated at the end of the paper.

Aim： To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of vardenafil, a phosphodiesterase type-5 （PDE-5） inhibitor, in men of Asian ethnicity with erectile dysfunction （ED）. Methods： In this prospective, double-blind, multinational study, Asian men were randomized to receive vardenafil （10 mg） or placebo （4：1 ratio） for 12 weeks. The primary efficacy variables were the International Index of Erectile Function erectile function domain （IIEF-EF）, and Sexual Encounter Profile （SEP） questions related to penetration and intercourse completion. Significant mean improvements were required in all three measures to show positive benefits of vardenafil treatment. Secondary efficacy variables included the Global Assessment Question （GAQ） on erection improvement. Results： Least-squares mean baseline IIEF-EF domain scores （vardenafil 14.6, placebo 13.4） were consistent with moderate ED. After 12 weeks, vardenafil treatment was associated with significant increases from the baseline in IIEF-EF domain scores compared with the placebo （22.4 vs. 14.3; P 〈 0.001）. Vardenafil was associated with significant improvements from baseline in least squares （LS） mean success rates for SEP-2 （vardenafil 82.2 vs. placebo 43.6; P 〈 0.001） and SEP-3 （vardenafil 66.1 vs. placebo 24.0; P 〈 0.001）. Positive GAQ responses were reported by 81.8% of vardenafil recipients vs. 24.3% of placebo recipients. Adverse events were reported by 25.4% of the vardenafil group, the majority mild and transient. Conclusion： Vardenafil （10 mg） is a highly effective and well-tolerated treatment for moderate ED in Asian men. These results add to the increasing amount of data demonstrating the safety and efficacy of vardenafil for the treatment of ED in a range of patient populations.

Although the middle and lower reaches of Changjiang River were consecutively stricken by severe flood in 1998 and 1999, the transmission of malaria was not frequent and prevalence of the disease was basically stable with no reports of outbreaks in the above areas, which was attributed to the intensification of malaria surveillance, prompt implementation of integrated measures including mosquito control and chemoprophylaxis, as well as the zoophilous trend of Anopheles sinensis , the vector in the stricken areas. According to the case reporting system established on the basis of professional institutions of 22 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities (P/A/M), the number of malaria cases in the country totalled 29 039 in 1999,with lethal cases of 67. Based on pilot site surveillance and investigation of some localities, the actual number of malaria cases was estimated to be 250 000～300 000 in 1999. Hainan and Yunnan are still the major malarious provinces . The elongated borderline and increase in migratory population contributes to the difficulties in malaria control in Yunnan, consequently, the incidence of malaria was progressively upgrading in the last three years, the reported number of falciparum malaria cases and deaths was markedly increased in 1999 as compared with that in 1998,exhibiting a crucial status of prevalence in the province. In Hainan, circa 80% of malaria cases were infected via transmission by An. dirus away from villages, hence difficulties existed in malaria control; in areas affected by An. anthropophagus where a population of more than 100 million resided, relatively high incidence of malaria was noted, the prevalence was unstable, sometimes focal outbreaks occurred, and incidence of 20% was reported in a few villages and townships; in area where the only vector was An. sinensis , the prevalence was rather stable, the incidence of malaria was decreased to 0.1‰ in most places. 中国第二次全国强化免疫日活动有效的控制和消除了零剂次儿童的持续累积，人群免疫水平显著提高，据免疫人群出生队列分析，我国多数省份的第二次强化免疫接种数明显较第一次强化免疫提高，全国１～３岁组儿童接种数平均增加了７．９％（第一轮）和１．３％（第二轮），其中主要含有第一次强化免疫漏服的０～岁组儿童。此外，第二次强化免疫活动使我国零剂次儿童总数比第一次减少了５９．３％，其中零剂次儿童多集中分布于０～岁组，其百分构成由第一次的６６％升至第二次的８４％。因此，加强和提高０～岁组儿童免疫水平是保障我国强化免疫效果的有效途径。此外。在第二次全国强化免疫活动实施过程中，全国有４６８个县（１８％）第二轮接种人数明显减少，而且全国约有３７％的县应种儿童数低于登记儿童数，并有１９％的县接种人数低于常规免疫建卡数，针对上述问题应采取有效措施予以纠正。

Background: Previous studies focused on the treatment effect of steroids versus no steroids in treating severe COVID-19 patients, a few studies evaluated outcomes for treating those patients with either dexamethasone or methylprednisolone. Currently, we evaluate the difference in mortality associated with treating COVID-19 patients with dexamethasone versus methylprednisolone. Methods: With a retrospective multicenter study, records were reviewed for the admitted patients with severe COVID-19 during the peak of the severe COVID-19 pandemic. All admitted patients on dexamethasone or methylprednisolone were included. Patients were analyzed as all populations and propensity scores matched patients. Propensity scores were calculated for several confounders by the generalized linear model, and a “greedy” near-neighbor matching algorithm was used. Continuous variables with nonnormal distribution were analyzed by Wilcoxon signed rank test. Chi-squared and Fischer exact test analyzed categorical variables. P-values were adjusted by the Bonferroni method for both data cohorts. Body mass index was in categories. Radiological findings were divided into five categories. The outcomes: mortality, the need for home oxygen therapy, recovery, and residual symptoms on discharge were analyzed by an independent two-sample test for equality of proportions (with Yates correction), and logistic regression analysis. Results: Among the 1128 reviewed records, patients on dexamethasone or methylprednisolone were 1071, and the propensity score-matched patients were 784: dexamethasone 393 and methylprednisolone 391. There was no significant difference in the characteristics of patients between the two steroids (p-value and adjusted p-value > 0.05) for most variables. PSM adjusted a few discrepant variables before analysis. The outcome of the unmatched patients demonstrated dexamethasone benefit in the need for home oxygen therapy ( 0.05). The Batouri area is located in the Adamawa-Yade domain in East Cameroon region, and has a high geological potential as a host for gold deposits. It is covered by thick forest where outcrops are sometime scarce. The purpose of this study is to generate and combine different geological information which makes up the specificity of the Batouri gold District, in order to contribute to the better knowledge of its geological setting. From satellite imageries, GIS tools and field data;lithological units, lineament and density maps have been dressed at regional-scale of 1/400.000. The mapping has enabled the discovery of spatial and topologic relationships between shear zones, lineaments, gold occurrences and often mineralized granitic intrusions. According to the field data, lithological and lineament maps, the lithology of the Batouri gold District is characterized by alkali granitoids (tonalite, granodiorite, syenomonzo-granite, alkaline granite) hosted by orthogneisses and migmatites as gold mineralization hosts;while the lineaments show a major shear zones trending NE-SW defined by presence of mylonites. The shear zones crosscut all lithologies, mostly granodiorite where majority of gold occurrences is observed;locally, nearest these shear zones, rocks are transformed to the mylonites and gold is concentrated along. From density map, it is shown that the high gold mineralization zone corresponds to highest lineaments density. All those data suggest that gold mineralization in the Batouri district is controlled by tectonic and lithology. It is conclusive that Batouri gold deposit is epigenetic gold set emplaced in orogenic setting, during the post-collisional stage of the Central African Fold Belt (CAFB) and the Congo Craton (CC).
