In t.is invest.gat.on, t.e effect.of t.me, percent.ge of copper and nickel on t.e hardness propert. of aluminum based powder met.llurgy alloys were st.died. A full fact.rial analysis wit. four levels for each fact.r was used. t.e samples were produced using powder met.llurgy process, and t.en subject.d t. nat.ral aging where heat.t.eat.ent.was conduct.d for all samples t.get.er at.550°C for 3 hours before quenching in wat.r. t.en, t.e samples were left.at.room t.mperat.re for 936 hours (39 days) t. allow t.aces at.ms t. diffuse and form coherent.phases which increase t.e hardness. It.was found t.at.t.e hardness was first.y increased wit. t.me for about.300 hours aft.r t.e quenching t.me, and t.en it.t.nds t. remain const.nt.aft.r t.at. However, t.e hardness drop at.overage st.ge was not.observed unt.l t.e end of 936 hours. t. get.a full analysis of t.e nat.ral aging we used design of experiment.t.ol t. st.dy t.e effect.of %Cu, %Ni and aging t.me on t.e hardness. t.e result. showed t.at.t.e hardness was influenced significant.y by all considered fact.rs and int.ract.ons bet.een t.em.

In t.is st.dy, corrosion resist.nce of cast.aluminum based alloys and composit.s reinforced wit. silicon carbide has been invest.gat.d. Different.Al-Mg-Cu alloys and Al-4wt.%Mg-Cu/SiC composit.s reinforced wit. 5 or 10 vol.%SiC were subject.d t. corrosive media (acidic: 1.0M HCl and alkaline: 1.0M NaOH) using weight.loss met.od t. evaluat. t.eir corrosion resist.nce. t.e result. show t.at.int.oducing copper and silicon carbide have a negat.ve effect.on t.e corrosion resist.nce of monolit.ic aluminum;however, Al-based composit.s st.ll being at.ract.ve mat.rials t. replace st.el part. in aut.mot.ve and aircraft.indust.ies and hence st.dying t.eir corrosion resist.nce is of high import.nce. Scanning elect.on microscopy (SEM) and Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDS) were used t. show t.e degree of at.ack and of acidic and alkaline solut.on on t.e surface of t.e invest.gat.d mat.rials.

In recent.years, aluminum-mat.ix composit.s (AMCs) have been widely used t. replace cast.iron in aerospace and aut.mot.ve indust.ies. Machining of t.ese composit. mat.rials requires bet.er underst.nding of cut.ing processes re- garding accuracy and efficiency. t.is st.dy addresses t.e modeling of t.e machinabilit. of self-lubricat.d aluminum /alumina/graphit. hybrid composit.s synt.esized by t.e powder met.llurgy met.od. In t.is st.dy, mult.ple regression analysis (MRA) and art.ficial neural net.orks (ANN) were used t. invest.gat. t.e influence of some paramet.rs on t.e t.rust.force and t.rque in t.e drilling processes of self-lubricat.d hybrid composit. mat.rials. t.e models were ident.- fied by using cut.ing speed, feed, and volume fract.on of t.e reinforcement.part.cles as input.dat. and t.e t.rust.force and t.rque as t.e out.ut.dat.. A comparison bet.een t.o predict.on met.ods was developed t. compare t.e predict.on accuracy. ANNs showed bet.er predict.bilit. result. compared t. MRA due t. t.e nonlinearit. nat.re of ANNs. t.e st.t.st.cal analysis accompanied wit. art.ficial neural net.ork result. showed t.at.Al2O3, Gr and cut.ing feed (f) were t.e most.significant.paramet.rs on t.e drilling process, while spindle speed seemed insignificant. Since t.e spindle speed was insignificant. it.direct.d us t. set.it.eit.er at.t.e highest.spindle speed t. obt.in high mat.rial removal rat. or at.t.e lowest.spindle speed t. prolong t.e t.ol life depending on t.e need for t.e applicat.on.

Hydat.dosis is a zoonot.c disease caused by t.e larval st.ge of Echinococcus granulosus, hydat.dosis an import.nt.helmint.zoonosis affect.ng sheep in t.e world. Hydat.dosis is a wellknown disease in t.ird world count.ies, especially in rural communit.es where humans live in close cont.ct.wit. domest.c animals and dogs. Dogs act.as int.rmediat. host.. t.e Al t.if cit. is about.90 kilomet.rs away from mecca t.e holy cit.. In each year, millions of sheep and goat. are slaught.red during t.e pilgrimage season. It.is very import.nt.t. assess t.e prevalence of hydat.dosis since it.can be t.ansmit.ed t.rough dogs which act.as definit.ve host. for t.e parasit.. t.is st.dy aims t. det.rmine t.e prevalence of hydat.dosis and t.e fert.lit./st.rilit. rat.s of hydat.d cyst. in sheep and goat. slaught.red in t.if Abat.oir, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In t.is st.dy, 1098 sheep and 296 goat. were examined;162 (13.5%) sheep and 18 (6.1%) goat. were found harboring hydat.d cyst.. In goat. 6% were harboring hydaat.d cyst. and 76% of t.e goat.were of local origin. Differences in prevalence rat.s were highly significant
