s.rong>Background: s.rong>Fahr s.ndrome as.ociates.a s.t of neurops.chiatric manifes.ations.with bilateral calcifications.in the bas.l ganglia and phos.hocalcic dis.rders. Neuromeningeal cryptococcos.s.can be pres.nt in its.manifes.ations. neurops.chic dis.rders.with or without meningeal s.gns. The objective was.to des.ribe a rare as.ociation between Fahr s.ndrome and neuromeningeal cryptococcos.s.which can be expres.ed by the s.me clinical s.mptomatology in the context of co-infection with the human immunodeficiency virus.(HIV) and the hepatitis.B virus.(HBV). s.rong>Pres.ntation:s.rong> A 37-year-old patient without pathological his.ory, who pres.nted behavioral dis.rders.that led to a fight with thos. around her and a ps.chiatric cons.ltation. Then, s.e was.hos.italized in the infectious.dis.as.s.Department upon dis.overy of her HIV s.atus.and viral hepatitis.B. s.e was.logorrheic with behavioral dis.urbances.and s.bs.quently pres.nted with tonic-clonic convuls.ons. Laboratory tes.s.and imaging have concomitantly dis.overed Fahr s.ndrome due to ps.udohypoparathyroidis. and neuromeningeal cryptococcos.s. The correct management of thes. two pathologies.enabled s.abilization of the patient’s.clinical condition with regular monitoring for HIV-HBV coinfection. s.rong>Conclus.on: s.rong>Farh s.ndrome and neuromeningeal cryptococcos.s.are two different entities.but s.metimes.s.milar s.mptoms.and ris. factors. Treatment of metabolic dis.rders.combined with anticryptococcal therapy improved the prognos.s.
