AIMTo analyze the diagnostic yield (DY), therapeutic impact (TI) and safety of capsule endoscopy (CE).METHODSThis is a multi-centre, observational, analytical, retrospective study. A total of 163 patients with suspicion of celiac disease (CD) (mean age = 46.4 ± 17.3 years, 68.1% women) who underwent CE from 2003 to 2015 were included. Patients were divided into four groups: seronegative CD with atrophy (Group-I, n = 19), seropositive CD without atrophy (Group-II, n = 39), contraindication to gastroscopy (Group-III, n = 6), seronegative CD without atrophy, but with a compatible context (Group-IV, n = 99). DY, TI and the safety of CE were *** overall DY was 54% and the final diagnosis was villous atrophy (n = 65, 39.9%), complicated CD (n = 12, 7.4%) and other enteropathies (n = 11, 6.8%; 8 Crohn’s). DY for groups I to IV was 73.7%, 69.2%, 50% and 44.4%, respectively. Atrophy was located in duodenum in 24 cases (36.9%), diffuse in 19 (29.2%), jejunal in 11 (16.9%), and patchy in 10 cases (15.4%). Factors associated with a greater DY were positive serology (68.3% vs 49.2%, P = 0.034) and older age (P = 0.008). On the other hand, neither sex nor clinical presentation, family background, positive histology or HLA status were associated with DY. CE results changed the therapeutic approach in 71.8% of the cases. Atrophy was associated with a greater TI (92.3% vs 45.3%, P < 0.001) and 81.9% of the patients responded to diet. There was one case of capsule retention (0.6%). Agreement between CE findings and subsequent histology was 100% for diagnosing normal/other conditions, 70% for suspected CD and 50% for complicated *** has a high DY in cases of suspicion of CD and it leads to changes in the clinical course of the disease. CE is safe procedure with a high degree of concordance with histology and it helps in the differential diagnosis of CD.

From the analysis of the frequently models of mobility used in the literature, we determine by an identification method the temperature coefficients α and β of a silicon resistance doped with donor atoms. Their variations show a non linear dependence according to the doping and the existence of a minimal value at particular concentration. Moreover, the comparison between the obtained results and those of a P-type resistance shows that there is a strong similarity in their thermal behaviours, except for a particular couple of α and β.

本文以埃及开罗大学中文系中国诗歌教学为研究对象,主要研究2018、2019和2020年高级学生中国诗歌的习得情况,对中国诗歌课的课程设置、课程师资、课程教材以及教学法四个方面进行调查与思考。学生对课程目标了解程度还可以,但是老师和学生都认为诗歌课程未达到教学目标,主要原因是使用的诗歌教材不好。此外,很多学生还认为中国诗歌对他们的未来工作生活没有帮助,这都是学生对诗歌产生情绪的主要原因。为了解决这个问题,教师可以想出一些方法去激发学生的兴趣,也可以给学生列出涉及到中国诗歌的不同工作。关于师资,开罗大学中文系对上诗歌课的老师的国籍和专业没有具体的要求。而学生都认为中国诗歌课由埃及老师上更好,专业是文学最好,还认为中国老师上课是有困难的。目前埃及缺少关于中国诗歌的相关资料,这是开罗大学中文系负责老师无法选择合适教材的最大阻碍因素。笔者发现,不管是老师还是学生,都对诗歌教材完全不满意。现有教材不足的地方就在于:1、内容不全面,只包括现代诗。2、教材缺乏一些重要的部分,比如“生词解释”、“专业词语”、“专业知识”、“扩展阅读”、“讨论题”、“练习题”等部分。3、诗篇题材不是多样化。老师和学生总体上都认为教材不适合埃及学生学习。中国诗歌课的教学方法方面,大部分学生对使用过的“多媒体法”和“思维导图法”两种教学法满意,就是认为不够有趣味性。通过问卷调查,笔者发现埃及学生对“故事引入法”、“古诗今译法”、“汉阿翻译法”、“画图释词法”、“配乐诵读法”和“诗歌朗诵法”都很感兴趣。

Enhancement of a foaming formulation with a zwitterionic surfactant for gas mobility control in harsh reservoir conditions

This work presents the design of a robust foam formulation that tolerates harsh reservoir conditions(high salinity,high divalent ion concentration,high temperature,light oil,and hydrocarbon injection gas)in a sandstone *** this,we selected anionic Alpha Olefin Sulfonate(AOS)surfactants and studied their synergistic effects in mixtures with zwitterionic betaines to enhance foam *** laboratory workflow used to define the best formulation followed a de-risking approach in three consecutive ***,(phase 1)the main surfactant(AOS)was selected among a series of commercial candidates in static ***,(phase 2)the betaine booster to be combined with the previously selected AOS was chosen and their ratio optimized in static ***,(phase 3)the surfactant/booster ratio was optimized under dynamic conditions in a porous medium in the absence and the presence of *** a result of this study,a mixture of an AOS C14-C16 and cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine(CAPHS)was selected as the one having the best *** designed formulation was proven to be robust in a wide range of *** generated a strong and stable foam at reservoir conditions,overcoming variations in salinity and foam quality,and tolerated the presence of oil.

As the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)continues to spread globally,it became evident that the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects multiple organs including the *** clinical studies revealed that patients with COVID-19 infection experience an array of neurological signs ranging in severity from headaches to life-threatening *** the exact mechanism by which the SARS-CoV-2 virus directly impacts the brain is not fully understood,several theories have been suggested including direct and indirect pathways induced by the *** possible theory is the invasion of SARS-CoV-2 to the brain occurs either through the bloodstream or via the nerve endings which is considered to be the direct *** findings are based on studies reporting the presence of viral material in the cerebrospinal fluid and brain ***,the indirect mechanisms,including blood-clotting abnormalities and prolonged activation of the immune system,can result in further tissue and organ damages seen during the course of the *** overview attempts to give a thorough insight into SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus neurological infection and highlights the possible mechanisms leading to the neurological manifestations observed in infected patients.

Drug Utilization in Homes for the Aged in Brasilia, Brazil

This paper aims to describe the socioeconomic and epidemiological profile, as well as the standards of medicine consumption in a group of 154 elderly people from five homes for the aged in Brasilia, in order to expand the understanding about some characteristics and individual needs of this population and its influence on the quality of drug’s therapy. Data were collected between January and December of 2007, it was used a questionnaire adapted from Dader’s method (2002) and a pharmacotherapeutic follow up method and it was responded by the elders and caregivers. Data were supplemented with information from medical records and prescriptions available in the institutions. The studied group has an average age of 74.6 years, living in their current homes for about 5.4 years and the group consists mainly of men with preserved cognitive status. The members of the group have low monthly income, low education level and are sedentary. They consume 4 - 5 drugs and are affected mainly by cardiovascular and psychiatric diseases. Results suggest that low monthly income, low education level, the prevalence of sedentary lifestyle, elders with compromised cognitive status, the increasing number of chronic diseases and the high consumption of drugs in the researched group may be important factors for the emergence or injury drugs-related problems (DRP) as non-adherence to treatment, medication errors, drug interactions and adverse drug reactions compromising the quality of medication therapy. This study points out the necessity of including a pharmacotherapeutic follow-up for the elderly people in order to minimize such problems and provide better quality of life for patients.

An atypical case of disseminated cutaneous leishmaniasis due to Leishmania peruviana in the valleys of Ancash-Peru

We present an atypical case of disseminated cutaneous leishmaniasis in the Sihuas district, located in the Andean valleys of Ancash-Peru. A 62-year-old man with no particular medical history presented multiple lesions located on the inferior abdomen, lumbar region and the right anterior thigh. Histological analysis found leishmanial amastigotes in the lesion sample, the Montenegro reaction was positive for Leishmania spp, and the polymerase chain reaction was positive for Leishmania peruviana. In conclusion, the atypical presentation of this disease may be related to the presence of an uncommon parasite strain or host immune deficiencies. The molecular identification of the etiology for disseminated leishmaniasis, will allow a better understanding of the presentation and proper treatment,as well as associated risk factors.

Changes in markers of body composition of professional male soccer players during pre-season

To evaluate changes achieved in whole-body and regional(upper limbs,lower limbs,and trunk)estimates of body composition,twenty professional male soccer players(7 defenders,7 midfielders,6 forwards)underwent dualenergy x-ray absorptiometry(DXA)analysis at the beginning and end of *** included:mass,fat mass(FM),fat-free mass(FFM),and body fat per cent(BF%).Players’activity during on-field training sessions was monitored using Global Positioning System(GPS)units,with GPS data used to obtain estimations of energy expenditure(EE).Whole-body mass remained unchanged across the *** significant increases and decreases were achieved in whole-body FFM(Pre:59.58±5.27 kg;Post:60.61±5.18 kg;p=0.001;d=0.87)and FM(Pre:10.60±1.88 kg;Post:9.56±1.81 kg;p=0.001;d=0.85),*** significant decreases were achieved in whole-body BF%(Pre:14.4±2.3%;Post:12.9±2.0%;p<0.001;d=0.94).No significant inter-positional differences were observed for the changes achieved in any global or regional estimate of body *** EE was significantly correlated withΔFM(r=0.65,p=0.002),ΔFFM(r=0.46,p=0.03),andΔBF%(r=0.67,p=0.002).The total EE of pre-season training accounted for 42%,21%,and 45%of the variance inΔFM,ΔFFM,andΔBF%,*** findings suggest that the pre-season period is a suitable time for initiating favourable alterations in body composition following the off-season in elite soccer players.
