Severe slugging is a transient and unsteady flow regime that occurs in offshore flowlines-riser production systems,most prevalently on aged oil fields which are proned to heavier oil deposits,low flow rates and the peculiar nature of the unevenness of the seabed *** phenomenon is characterized with pressure fluctuations and instabilities of the flow *** behaviour of this flow regime poses a threat on the structural integrity,reliability and safety of the offshore production facilities due to its fatigue loading behaviour and damage of the material *** researchers in China and abroad have made contributions towards describing the dynamic behavior of pipeline-riser structures induced by severe slug ***,due to the complicated nature of severe slugging,no study has fully understood the dynamic behavior of steel lazy-wave risers induced by a full-staged severe slug flow which this research draws its originality *** is therefore in the interest of the offshore oil and gas industry to improve and optimize the fatigue design of deepwater riser structures by including the fatigue loads from severe *** study presents the numerical modelling and simulation of the interaction between the full-staged severe slug flow and the dynamic behavior and stress impact of a steel lazy-wave *** fluid analysis,structural analysis and the FSI coupling were carried out using FLUENT,ABAQUS and Mp CCI software programs,*** two-phase flow system is modelled with a comingling flow of water and air with liquid and gas velocities of 0.382m/s and 1.37m/s *** 2D steel lazy-wave riser was modelled with material properties of API Grade X-65 steel with an inner diameter of 0.05 m,outer diameter of 0.075 m,pipe length of 1.8m and a pipe inclination of-5 *** uniform meshes with wall refinement were used to generate15,599 mesh elements for the fluid *** volume of fluid(VOF)model,kepsilon turbulence

This study analyses the possibilities for optimal land use structure in mountainous areas of rural Serbia, which is faced with problems such as unfavorable terrain characteristics and inadequate land use patterns causing economic underdevelopment and increasing population migration. In the case of a small privately owned farm in Western Serbia, optimal land use pattern is determined using the linear programming model. The objective function-cost-effectiveness or soil erosion reduction, as well as constraints, are formulated using the benefit-cost ratio(BCR) for a 15-year production period and soil losses data calculated using the Universal Soil Loss Equation(USLE). The best results are achieved using the scenario with the aim to minimize soil erosion, considering the BCR in the constraints. This scenario is proposed since it was registered that the benefit for landowners would increase by five times, while the losses of land would decline about 80%. The sensitivity analysis of investments is performed to check whether the price variation affects the cost-effectiveness of proposed land use. Results show that market changes(nine cases are considered) do not lead to significant changes in land use allocation. Proposed land use pattern improves the environmental condition, strengthens the rural economy and thus offers the greatest potential for sustainable development of mountainous rural areas.

The mammalian hippocampus shows a remarkable capacity for continued neurogenesis throughout life. Newborn neurons, generated by the radial neural stem cells （NSCs）, are important for learning and memory as well as mood control. During aging, the number and responses of NSCs to neurogenic stimuli diminish, leading to decreased neurogenesis and age-associatedcognitive decline and psychiatric disorders. Thus, adult hippocampal neurogenesis has garnered significant interest because targeting it could be a novel potential therapeutic strategy for these disorders. However, if we are to use nenrogenesis to halt or reverse hippocampal-related pathology, we need to understand better the core molecular machinery that governs NSC and their progeny. In this review, we summarize a wide variety of mouse models used in adult neurogenesis field, present their advantages and disadvantages based on specificity and efficiency of labeling of different cell types, and review their contribution to our understanding of the biology and the heterogeneity of different cell types found in adult neurogenic niches.

Skadar Lake,the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula,is famous for a wide range of endemic and rare,or even endangered plant and animal *** anthropogenic pressures have,however,influenced the fragile equilibria of the lake ecosystem,with metal pollution as one of the primary ***,this study investigated spatial distribution of metal pollutants in the water and sediment phase of Skadar Lake,and anthropogenic and environmental factors affecting this distribution.A sieving analysis showed that sediment in Skadar Lake is mainly distributed in the three smallest fractions(colloid,clay and silt).Eleven metals were analyzed in the lake surface and bottom water,and only six of them were detected:potassium,magnesium,calcium,nickel,aluminum and *** were all present at low *** contrast,sediments contained elevated levels of some metals with concentrations between 28.1-126.8 mg kg-1for Ni,23.6-79.2 mg kg-1for Cr,9.2-36.9 mg kg-1for Cu,199-878 mg kg-1for Mn and 9.6-23.1 g kg-1for *** exceeded consensus-based guidelines for safety towards freshwater dwelling *** organic matter content of the sediment fluctuated between 4.7 and 21.5%.No correlations were found between metal concentrations,organic matter and sediment particle size fractions,suggesting that the latter are not the main factors controlling metal accumulation in Skadar Lake.

The kinetic method for the determination of phosphate microamounts was described. The developed method is based on catalytic effect of phosphate on sodium pyrogallol-5-sulphonate （PS） by dissolved oxygen. The reaction was followed spectrophotometrically by measuring the rate of change in the values of the absorbance of the oxidation product at 437 nm. The optimum reaction conditions are PS （0.44×10^-3 mol·L^-1） and HClO4 （3.6×10^-6 mol·L^-1） at 25 ℃. Following this procedure, phosphate can be determined with a linear calibration graph up to 0.23 μg·mL^-1. The interference effect of several species was also investigated and it was found that the most common cations and anions did not interfere with the determination. The developed procedure was successfully applied to the determination of phosphate in natural waters and soil.
