In the past few year. ther. has been a gr.wth in the use of nanopar.icles for.stabilizing lipid membr.nes that contain embedded pr.teins. These bionanopar.icles pr.vide a solution to the challenging pr.blem of membr.ne pr.tein isolation by maintaining a lipid bilayer.essential to pr.tein integr.ty and activity. We have pr.viously descr.bed the use of an amphipathic polymer.（poly（styr.ne-co-maleic add）, SMA） to pr.duce discoidal nanopar.icles with a lipid bilayer.cor. containing the embedded pr.tein. However.the str.ctur. of the nanopar.icle itself has not yet been deter.ined. This leaves a major.gap in under.tanding how the SMA stabilizes the encapsulated bilayer.and how the bilayer.r.lates physically and str.ctur.lly to an unencapsulated lipid bilayer. In this paper.we addr.ss this issue by descr.bing the str.ctur. of the SMA lipid par.icle （SMALP） using data fr.m small angle neutr.n scatter.ng （SANS）, electr.n micr.scopy （EM）, attenuated total r.flection Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d spectr.scopy （ATr.FTIr., differ.ntial scanning calor.metr. （DSC） and nuclear.magnetic r.sonance spectr.scopy （NMr.. We show that the par.icle is disc shaped containing a polymer.＂br.celet＂ encir.ling the lipid bilayer. The str.ctur. and or.entation of the individual components within the bilayer.and polymer.ar. deter.ined showing that styr.ne moieties within SMA inter.alate between the lipid acyl chains. The dimensions of the encapsulated bilayer.ar. also deter.ined and match those measur.d for.a natur.l membr.ne. Taken together. the descr.ption of the str.ctur. of the SMALP for.s the foundation for.futur. development and applications of SMALPs in membr.ne pr.tein pr.duction and analysis.

Algor.thms 72（4）（2016） 989-1020] to the pr.blem of pr.state cancer.immunother.py. We extend this method in two dir.ctions： fir.t, we apply the method to a system of nonlinear.or.inar. differ.ntial equation, and second, we pr.pose a new technique for.finding the base functions in the consider.d algor.thm.

Scholar. have ar.ued that Dahui＇s invention of huatou pr.ctice was pr.mar.ly r.lated to inter.al Chan r.valr.es for.elite patr.ns. I ar.ue that Dahui＇s motive was also connected to a r.valr. with Pur. Land Buddhism over.the making of appeals to lay follower. among scholar.officials. Dahui was awar. and tr.ed to communicate the usefulness of huatou in addr.ssing the elite laity＇s doubts about bir.h and death, and in par.icular.their.anxieties about facing the decisive moment of death.
