Effects of electroacupuncture at Fengchi(GB20)on motor function and GFAP/NeuN expression around the ischemic tissue of the motor cortex in MCAO rats

Analysis of blocking slurry diffusion parameters for a new self-starting drainage anchor cable

A new self-starting drainage anchor that combines prestressed anchor cables with self-starting drainage is proposed. The novelty of the self-starting drainage method is the realization of the drainage and anchoring in the one inclined borehole. Reduction in the number of boreholes can greatly decrease the construction cost and duration of the project. The adverse effect of drilling construction disturbance on the slope is reduced. To tackle the possible blockage of the drainage cavity due to slurry leakage during the solidification process after finishing grouting in the blocking section. To this end， a theoretical equation for the slurry diffusion radius under slurry self-weight pressure boundary conditions is deduced. The result is verified for precision through comparison with numerical simulation. The findings reveal that the permeability coefficient of rock and soil mass makes the most significant impact on the slurry diffusion radius， succeeded by the length of the grouting blocking section， slurry initial setting time， and drilling inclination in descending order of influence. With the 5% mass ratio of a "711" type slurry quick-setting agent， the maximum slurry diffusion radius can be reduced from 0.925m to 0.449m， a reduction of 0.476m， which is comparatively more recommended.

Messenger ribonucleic acid(mRNA)-based therapeutics hold great prospects in disease treatment and lipid nanoparticles(lNPs)are the most extensively applied non-viral platform for RNA delivery in *** the clinical success of lNPs as vehicles have been achieved,developing lNPs with enhanced mRNA transmembrane delivery and transfection efficiency in a non-toxic manner is highly desirable and *** this study,we designed a series of new ionizable amino lipids with piperazinederived headgroups and constructed a group of lNPs to promote the transfection activity of mRNA *** them,lNP formulated with lipid 10(l10-lNP)can efficiently package mRNA and perform superior transfection efficiency both in vitro and in vivo,which is mainly attributed to the improved intracellular uptake and effective endosomal *** verified that a single administration of l10-lNP packaging interleukin(Il)-12 mRNA induced tumor shrink and even regression by robust activation of immune effector CD8^(+)T cells and stimulating the generation of IFN-γwithout causing systemic toxicity,which provides a promising platform for clinical cancer immunotherapy.

The therapeutic outcomes of conventional oral medications against ulcerative colitis(UC)are restricted by inefficient drug delivery to the colitis mucosa and weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory ***,a fluorinated pluronic(FP127)was synthesized and employed to functionalize the surface of mulberry leaf-derived nanoparticles(MlNs)loading with resveratrol nanocrystals(RNs).The obtained FP127@RN-MlNs possessed exosome-like morphologies,desirable particle sizes(around 171.4 nm),and negatively charged surfaces(−14.8 mV).The introduction of FP127 to RN-MlNs greatly improved their stability in the colon and promoted their mucus infiltration and mucosal penetration capacities due to the unique fluorine effect.

Durable and efficient bi-functional catalyst,that is capable of both oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction under acidic condition,are highly desired for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane water ***,we report a robust l-Ru/HfO_(2)heterostructure constructed via confining crystalline Ru nanodomains by HfO_(2)*** assembled with a proton exchange membrane,the bi-functional l-Ru/HfO_(2)catalyst-based electrolyzer presents a voltage of 1.57 and 1.67 V to reach 100 and 300 mA cm^(-2)current density,prevailing most of previously reported Ru-based materials as well as commercial Pt/C||RuO_(2)*** is revealed that the synergistic effect of HfO_(2)modification and small crystalline domain formation significantly alleviates the over-oxidation of *** importantly,this synergistic effect facilitates a dual-site oxide path during the oxygen evolution procedure via optimization of the binding configurations of oxygenated *** a result,the Ru active sites maintain the metallic state along with reduced energy barrier for the rate-determining step(^(*)O→^(*)OOH).Both of water adsorption and dissociation(Volmer step)are strengthened,while a moderate hydrogen binding is achieved to accelerate the hydrogen desorption procedure(Tafel step).Consequently,the activity and stability of acidic overall water splitting are simultaneously enhanced.

Aerodynamic characteristics of a pitching airfoil with leading-edge morphing

This paper focuses on the effect of the phase offset of leading-Edge(lE)morphing on the aerodynamic characteristics of a pitching NACA0012 *** an unstretched camber and using polynomial interpolation,an explicit expression for lE nonlinear morphing is proposed and implemented for the large pitching motion of the *** field results and aerodynamic forces are obtained by solving the unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations for both the airfoil’s pitching motion and lE ***,the index of instantaneous aerodynamic power is used to quantify the work done by the airflow in a dynamic *** to the instantaneous aerodynamic power and energy map,which denotes the energy transfer between the airfoil’s oscillation and flow field,the airfoil is subject to stall *** results show that lE morphing with an optimal phase offset of 315°reduces the energy extraction from the flow field,suppressing the stall flutter *** optimal phase offset is effective at different pitching axis positions of the *** results signify that lE morphing can suppress stall flutter by advancing the occurrence of the first lE vortex and increasing the nose-down moment during the upstroke period.

Effect of samarium doping on the activity and sulfur resistance of Ce/MnFeO_(x) catalyst for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x) by ammonia

The self-made MnFeO_(x) catalysts doped with cerium and samarium were prepared by impregnation method for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction(SCR)by *** this work,the surface properties of the series of MnFe-based catalysts were *** results indicate Sm-modified catalyst have superior low-temperature SCR activity;NO_(x) conversion maintained at nearby to 100%at 90℃ to 240℃.In addition,The N_(2) selectivity of Sm doping remains above 80%in the range of 60℃ to 150℃.In SO_(2) poisoning test,the NO_(x) conversion can be remained>90%after 10 h of *** XPS,NH_(3)-TPD and H_(2)-TPR results show the catalyst with Sm doping enhances the acid sites and oxidation catalytic sites of mixed oxides serves for improving oxygen vacancies and transfer *** situ diffuse reflaxions infrared Fourier transformations spectroscopy(DRIFTS)results show that NO_(x) is more easily adsorbed on the surface after Sm doping,which provided favorable conditions for the NH_(3)-SCR reaction to *** reaction at the catalyst surface will follow the l-H reaction mechanism by transient reaction test.

Direct generation of Zn metal using laser-induced ZnS to eradicate carbon emissions from electrolysis Zn production

In response to the goal of net-zero emissions proposed by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Chinese government has pledged that carbon emissions will peak by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. However, the high carbon energy structure of traditional industries has aggravated environmental problems, such as greenhouse effect and air pollution. The goal of carbon neutrality will be difficult to achieve without the development of disruptive theories and technologies. The electrolytic zinc industry requires high-temperature roasting at ~1000 ℃, generating large amounts of greenhouse gases and SO_(2). High concentrations of sulfuric acid (200 g/l) are subsequently used for electrolysis, and each ton of zinc produced generates 50 kg of anode slime with lead content of up to 16%, as well as 0.35 m3 of wastewater containing zinc and lead. To solve these problems, an optical metallurgy method is proposed in this study. The proposed method uses laser-induced photoreduction to decompose ZnS and reduce metal ions to metal. Results indicate that Zn0 and S8 can be detected on the surface of ZnS at a specific wavelength and laser fluence. The generation mechanism of Zn0 is such that laser induces an electronic transition that breaks ionic bond in ZnS, resulting in its decomposition and photoreduction to Zn0 under an inert argon gas atmosphere. This method does not reduce other metals in the mineral since it does not use high-temperature roasting, providing a new way of producing high-purity metal without greenhouse gas emissions and heavy metal pollution caused by traditional zinc electrolysis.

Rapid analysis of metal ions and organic compounds in strong acidic solutions by nano-ESI mass spectrometry

Rapid analysis of metal ions and organic compounds in strong acidic solutions is of sustainable interest in multiple ***,complicated and time-consuming pretreatments are always required for MS analysis of the compounds in strong acidic ***,it will result in a weak signal and cause serious damage to the mass ***,a simple method inherited from nano-ESI MS was developed for rapid analysis of strong acidic ***(nl)strong acidic solution was first loaded in the nano-ESI emitter,followed by evaporation to remove the H+and leave the analytes on the wall of the nano-ESI *** evaporation process can be completed within 1 min because of the extremely tiny volume(≤1 nl)of the loaded ***,the dried analytes on the wall of the nano-ESI emitter were redissolved by loading a new solvent,followed by nano-ESI MS *** using this method,metal ions and organic compounds in the strong acidic solution can be detected with low sample consumption(1 nl),high speed(le),high sensitivity(limit of detection=0.2µg/l),and high accuracy(>90%).Proof-of-concept applications of the present method have been successfully achieved for the analysis of gastric juice(pH of the sample=1),monitoring reaction catalyzed by strong acid(pH of the system=0),and micro-area analysis of ores(pH of the extraction solvent=0),showing great application potential in multiple fields.
