Improved Attribute Chain Sampling Plan for Darna Distribution

Recently,the Darna distribution has been introduced as a new lifetime *** two-parameter Darna distribution represents is a mixture of two well-known gamma and exponential distributions.A manufacturer or an engineer of products conducts life testing to examine whether the quality level of products meets the customer’s requirements,such as reliability or the minimum *** this article,an attribute modified chain sampling inspection plan based on the time truncated life test is proposed for items whose lifetime follows the Darna *** plan parameters,including the sample size,the acceptance number,and the past lot result of the proposed sampling plan,are determined with the help of the two-point approach considering the acceptable quality level(AQL)and the limiting quality level(LQL).The plan parameters and the corresponding operating characteristic functions of a new plan are provided in tabular form for various Darna distribution ***,a few illustrated examples are presented for various distribution *** usefulness of the proposed attribute modified chain sampling plan is investigated using two real failure time *** results indicate that the proposed sampling plan can reduce the sample size when the termination ratio increases for fixed values of the producer’s risk and acceptance ***,the proposed attribute modified chain sampling inspection plan is recommended to practitioners in the field.

The air change rate(ACR)of naturally ventilated dairy buildings(NVDBs)plays an important part in the design and control of the ventilation system,as well as in the estimation of the gaseous emission *** objectives of this research were to model the ACR based on a quantitative investigation of the relationship between the ACR and its potential influencing factors,including the opening ratio(r),the building length to width ratio(a),the wind speed(U),and the wind direction(0).The investigations were performed using the response surface methodology integrated with the Box-Behnken design and Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)*** response surface models of the ACR of NVDBs were established for three opening ratio ranges of 5%-42.5%,42.5%-80%,and 5%-80%,*** was found that the selection of the opening ratio range had almost no effect on the developed response surface *** results showed that the ACR of NVDBs was not influenced by a,but was significantly affected by r,U,6,and interaction effects between every two of the three *** highest ACR was 6.7 s^(-1),6.0 s^(-1),and 4.0 s^(-1)when 0,U,and r was at their respective medium value while the rest parameters were at the highest values,indicating that the r played an important role in the value of *** was concluded that in the prediction of the ACR of a building,the influences of both individual and interactional effects of 0,U,and r should be considered.

Diversity and endophytic fungal composition in Ananas comosus(L.)*** queen cultivar isolated from three different growing conditions

Present study deals with the isolation of endophytic fungi from leaf and root explants of Ananus comosus var queen from three growing conditions ***,cultivated as monoculture and cultivated as mixed cropping system with rubber plants.A total of twenty-nine endophytic fungal strains along with two nonsporulating forms were isolated from the host plant from three experimental *** maximum numbers of fungal strains were found belong to family Aspergillaceae and order *** highest rates of colonization and isolation(p<0.05)of endophytic fungi have been reported in wild foliar explants(95.53±0.53)and monoculture(1.02±0.01),*** highest relative frequency was observed among isolated fungal strains in the case of Lasiodiplodia theobromae isolated from the leaf and root of wild(26.22%)and monoculture(29.62%)*** *** and Aspergillus flavus,isolated from the leaf and roots of wild(21.66%)and monoculture(14.66%)explants showed the highest colonization *** findings showed that the distribution of fungal endophytes and their relative frequency in host plants vary in three different growing conditions.

Vertical Sediment Concentration Distribution in High-Concentrated Flows:An Analytical Solution Using Homotopy Analysis Method

Transport of suspended sediment in open channel flow has an enormous impact on real life situations,*** and management of reservoir sedimentation,geomorphic evolution such as dunes,rivers,and coastlines *** entails advection and *** diffusion is governed by the concept of Fick’s law,which is based on the molecular diffusion theory,and the equation that represents the distribution of sediment concentration is the advection-diffusion *** study uses the existing governing equation which considers different phases for solid and fluid,and then couples the two *** deal with high-concentrated flow,sediment and turbulent diffusion coefficients are taken to be different from each *** effect of hindered settling on sediment particles is incorporated in the governing equation,which makes the equation highly *** study derives an explicit closed-form analytical solution to the generalized one-dimensional diffusion equation representing the vertical sediment concentration distribution with an arbitrary turbulent diffusion coefficient *** solution is obtained by Homotopy Analysis Method,which does not rely on the small parameters present in the ***,the solution is validated by comparing it with the implicit solution and the numerical solution.A relevant set of laboratory data is selected to check the applicability of the model,and a close agreement shows the potential of the model in the context of application to high-concentrated sediment-laden open channel flow.

BACKGROUND Procalcitonin(Pct)is a common biomarker in clinical practice,especially in the era of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** it is frequently used for the diagnosis and prognostication of bacterial infections or sepsis,it is also elevated in a few other conditions,including medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC).CASE SUMMARY A 43-year-old female presented with moderately severe COVID-19 pneumonia in April *** gradually recovered clinically;however,despite normalization of other inflammatory markers,Pct levels remained persistently *** workup identified the cause as left lobe MTC with locoregional *** levels were high,and carcinoembryonic antigen levels were *** patient underwent total thyroidectomy and neck dissection,which was followed by another radical neck dissection due to residual ***,she is doing well,nearly having completed her course of external beam radiotherapy with no *** is well documented as a screening tool for MTC,especially because of its stable nature compared to calcitonin in the community *** is important to keep in mind the differential diagnosis of MTC in patients with persistently elevated Pct levels despite normal levels of other acute phase *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first report from Asia of such an incidental diagnosis of MTC due to persistently elevated Pct levels in a patient with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)*** Persistently elevated Pct levels can occur in any pro-inflammatory state including infections,sepsis,or acute respiratory distress *** the current setting,SARS-CoV-2 infection is one such clinical scenario,and in rare situations of persistent elevation,MTC may need to be ruled out.

Hydro-uvarovite from Mantle Peridotites of Naga Hills Ophiolite: A Mineral Tracer for Neo-Tethyan Mantle Wedge Metasomatism

Hydrous Cr-bearing uvarovite garnets are rare in natural occurrences and belong to the ugrandite series and exist in binary solid solutions with grossular and andradite garnets. Here, we report the occurrence of hydrous uvarovite garnet having Cr_(2)O_(3) upto 19.66 wt% and CaO of 32.12–35.14 wt% in the serpentinized mantle peridotites of Naga Hills Ophiolite(NHO), India. They occur in association with low-Cr diopsides. They are enriched in LILE(Ba, Sr), LREEs, with fractionating LREE-MREE [avg.(La/Sm)_(N) = 2.16] with flat MREE/HREE patterns [avg.(Sm/Yb)_(N) = 0.95]. Raman spectra indicate the presence of hydroxyl(OH^(–)) peaks from 3500 to 3700 cm^(-1). Relative abundances in fluid mobile elements and their close association with clinopyroxenes are suggestive of the formation of uvarovite garnets through low temperature metasomatic alteration of low-Cr diopsides by hydrothermal slab fluids. The high LREE concentration and absence of Eu anomaly in the garnet further attest to alkaline nature of the transporting slab dehydrated fluid rather the involvement of low-p H solution. The chemical characteristics of the hydroxyl bearing uvarovite hosted by the mantle peridotite of NHO deviate from the classical features of uvarovite garnet, and their origin is attributed to the fluid-induced metasomatism of the sub arc mantle wedge in a suprasubduction zone regime.

Synergistic anti - Staphylococcus aureus activity of amoxicillin in combination with Emblica officinalis and Nymphae odorata extracts

Objective:To evaluate the antibacterial activity of Emblica officinalis Gaertn(***: Family:Euphorbiaceae) seed and Nymphae odorala Aiton(***:Family:Nymphaeaceae) stamen extracts,alone and in combination,and in combination with amoxicillin(Ax) against Staphylococcus aureus(***).Methods:Antibacterial activity of ethanolic extracts of amla,***,seed(AMS:500μg) and sapla,***,stamen(SAP:500 p g) for 12 methicillin-resistant ***(MRSA) isolates was determined following agar diffusion:in order to assess the combined antibacterial activity,AMS(250μg) plus SAP(250μg) were *** Ax(10μg) activity alone and in combination with AMS(250μg),and SAP(250μg) was determined by disk *** zone diameters of inhibition(ZDIs) for the agents were recorded,and growth inhibitory indices(GIIs) were ***:The MRSA isolates (n=12) had AMS(500μg) and SAP(500μg) ZDIs of 12-19 mm and 21-24 mm,*** ZDIs(range 24-27 mm) increased by 3-4 mm due to combined action of AMS(250μg) and SAP(250μg) indicating synergy between extracts for MRSA(GII 0.634-0.742).The MRSA isolates were resistant to Ax(ZDI:8-11 mm),which in combination with AMS and SAP had synergistic effect,both due to increased ZDI[mean±SD=(3.5±0.577) mm]and GII(0.631-0.894).Conclusions:The data suggest that the plants,*** and *** alone or in combination,are promising in the development of phytomedicines,which may be used,alone or in combination with the antibiotic. A Hom-group is the non-associative generalization of a group whose associativity and unitality are twisted by a compatible bijective *** this paper,we give some new examples of Hom-groups,and show the first,second and third isomorphism theorems of *** also introduce the notion of Hom-group action,and as an application,we prove the first Sylow theorem for Hom-groups along the line of group actions.

Maximum mass of anisotropic charged strange quark stars in a higher dimensional approach(D≥4)

In this article,a new class of solutions of Einstein-Maxwell field equations of relativistic strange quark stars obtained in dimensions D≥4,is *** assume that the geometry of space-time is pseudo-spheroid,embedded in Euclidean space of(D-1)*** MIT bag model equation of state(henceforth EoS)is employed to study the relevant properties of strange quark *** the causal and non-negative nature of the square of the radial sound velocity(vr2),we observe that some restrictions exist on the reduced radius(b/R),where R is a parameter related to the curvature of the space-time,and b is the radius of the *** spheroidal parameter A used here defines the metric potential of the grrcomponent,which is pseudo-spheroidal in *** note that the pressure anisotropy and charge have some effects onλ.The maximum mass for a given surface density(ρs)or bag constant(B)assumes a maximum value in dimension D=5and decreases for other values of *** generalized Buchdahl limit for a higher dimensional charged star is also obeyed in this *** observe that in this model,we can predict the mass of a strange quark star using a suitable value of the electric charge(Q)and bag constant(B).Energy and stability conditions are also satisfied in this *** is also studied considering the dependence of the Lagrangian perturbation of radial pressure(Δpr)on the frequency of normal modes of *** tidal Love number and tidal de-formability are also evaluated.

A class of relativistic astrophysical compact objects is analyzed in the modified Finch-Skea geometry described by the MIT bag model equation of state of interior matter,p=1/3(ρ-4B),where B is known as the bag constant.B plays an important role in determining the physical features and structure of strange *** consider the finite mass of the strange quark(m_(s)≠0) and study its effects on the stability of quark matter inside a *** note that the inclusion of strange quark mass affects the gross properties of the stellar configuration,such as maximum mass,surface red-shift,and the radius of strange quark *** apply our model physically,we consider three compact objects,namely,(ⅰ) VELA X-1,(ⅱ) 4U 1820-30,and(ⅲ) PSR J 1903+327,which are thought to be strange *** range of B is restricted from 57.55 to Bstable(MeV/fm3),for which strange matter might be stable relative to iron(^(56)Fe).However,we also observe that metastable and unstable strange matter depend on B and *** energy conditions hold well in this *** in terms of the Lagrangian perturbation of radial pressure is studied in this paper.
