COL4A2 enhances thyroid cancer cell proliferation through the AKT pathway

Comparisons and optimization of two absorption chiller types by considering heat transfer area, exergy and economy as single-objective functions

Absorption cooling technology is an environmentally friendly method to generate continuous chilled water making use of multiple thermal sources, such as waste heat and renewable thermal energy. In this study, two absorption chillers (nominal capacity of 400 kW) with series and parallel connections are evaluated. To research the ideal configuration of chillers after thermodynamic analysis, the structures of the chillers are optimized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm by considering the heat transfer area (HTA), exergy efficiency and total annual cost as single-objective functions. The impact of temperature differences between external and internal flows, heat exchanger efficiencies and the solution allocation ratio is estimated. The optimized HTA, coefficient of performance, exergy efficiency and total annual cost are 149.0 m2, 1.56, 29.44% and $229 119 for the series-connected chiller, and 146.7 m2, 1.59, 31.45% and $234 562 for the parallel-connected type, respectively. Under the lowest HTA condition, compared with the reference simulation results, the energy and exergy performances are improved, while the annual total cost is higher. The annual total cost is highest when maximizing the exergy efficiency, which is attributed to the increase in the HTA. The operating cost accounts for 27.42% (series type) and 26.54% (parallel type) when the annual cost is the lowest. Two absorption chillers with series and parallel connections are evaluated using a thermodynamic analysis. The chiller structures are optimized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm by considering the heat transfer area, exergy efficiency and total annual cost as single-objective functions. Continuous power supply of urban power networks(UPNs)is quite essential for the public security of a city be-cause the UPN acts as the basis for other infrastructure *** recent years,UPN is threatened by extreme weather *** accurate modeling of load loss risk under extreme weather is quite essential for the preventive action of ***-sidering the forecast intensity of a typhoon disaster,this paper proposes analytical modeling of disaster-induced load loss for preventive allocation of mobile power sources(MPSs)in ***,based on the topological structure and fragility model of overhead lines and substations,we establish an analytical load loss model of multi-voltage-level UPN to quantify the spatial dis-tribution of disaster-induced load loss at the substation ***,according to the projected load loss distribution,a pre-ventive allocation method of MPS is proposed,which makes the best use of MPS and dispatches the limited power supply to most vulnerable areas in the ***,the proposed meth-od is validated by the case study of a practical UPN in China.

Temporal and Spatial Trends in HIV Positivity Rate for VCT Clinics—China,2015–2022

Introduction:Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)voluntary counseling and testing(VCT)clinics play a critical role in identifying and diagnosing HIV *** study aimed to describe the trend of HIV positivity rate(HPR)among Chinese VCT clinics between 2015 and ***:This study utilized data from the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention to analyze the trend in the HPR for VCT clinics from 2015 to *** HPR was calculated by dividing the number of newly-reported HIV cases by the number of HIV tests,multiplied by 100%.To identify temporal and spatial trends in the HPR,we employed joinpoint regression analysis and the Getis-Ord hotspot ***:From 2015 to 2022,VCT clinics in China performed a total of 22,075,386 HIV tests,leading to the identification of 260,353 HIV cases,resulting in a HPR of 1.18%.The HPR consistently declined over the study period,with an average annual percent change(AAPC)of−7.5%(95%confidence interval:−12.6%,−2.2%,Pministrative divisions(PLADs).Among the 31 PLADs,16 showed a significant decrease in HPR during the study period(AAPC<0,PAAPC<0.05).Conclusions:VCT clinics in China have played a significant role in identifying HIV *** declining HPR observed in these clinics may indicates the progress has been made in some degree in mitigating HIV among high-risk ***,it is crucial to further improving the utilization of VCT clinics for HIV testing.

Tuning microstructures of Mg-Ce-Ni hydrogen storage alloys via Cu and carbon nanotube additions

Mg-based alloys are regarded as highly promising materials for hydrogen *** significant improvements of the properties for Mg-based alloys,challenges such as slow hydrogen absorption/desorption kinetics and high thermodynamic stability continue to limit their practical *** this study,to assess hydrogen storage alloys with enhanced properties,incorporating both internal microstructure modulation through the preparation of amorphous/nanocrystalline structures and surface property enhancement with the addition of Cu and carbon nanotubes(CNTs),the kinetic properties of activation and hydrogenation,thermodynamic properties,and dehydrogenation kinetics are *** results reveal a complementary interaction between the added Cu and CNTs,contributing to the superior hydrogen storage performance observed in sample 7A-2Cu-1CNTs with an amorphous/nanocrystalline structure compared to the other experimental ***,the samples are fully activated after the initial hydrogen absorption and desorption cycle,demonstrating outstanding hydrogenation kinetics under both high and low temperature experimental *** noteworthy is that the hydrogen absorption exceeds 1.8 wt.% within one hour at 333 ***,the activation energy for dehydrogenation is decreased to 64.71 kJ·mol^(–1).This research may offer novel insights for the design of new-type Mg-based hydrogen storage alloys,which possess milder conditions for hydrogen absorption and desorption.

Circulating microRNAs(miRNAs)play a pivotal role in the occurrence and development of acute myocardial infarction(AMI),and precise detection of them holds significant clinical *** development of luminol-based luminophores in the field of electrochemiluminescence(ECL)for miRNA detection has been significant,while their effectiveness is hindered by the instability of co-reactant hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)).In this work,an iron single-atom catalyst(Fe-PNC)was employed for catalyzing the luminol-O_(2) ECL system to achieve ultra-sensitive detection of myocardial *** miRNA triggers a hybridization chain reaction(HCR),resulting in the generation of a DNA product featuring multiple sticky ends that facilitate the attachment of Fe-PNC probes to the electrode *** Fe-PNC catalyst exhibits high promise and efficiency for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in electrochemical energy conversion *** resulting ECL biosensor allowed ultrasensitive detection of myocardial miRNA with a low detection limit of 0.42 fM and a wide linear range from 1 fM to 1.0 ***,it demonstrates exceptional performance when evaluated using serum samples collected from patients with *** work expands the application of single-atom catalysis in ECL sensing and introduces novel perspectives for utilizing ECL in disease diagnosis.
