Underwater target motion estimation is a challenge for ocean military and scientific *** this work,we propose a method based on the combination of polarization imaging and optical flow for turbid underwater target *** imaging can reduce the influence of backscattered light and obtain high-quality images *** optical flow shows the motion and structural information of the *** use polarized optical flow to obtain the optical flow field and estimate the target *** experimental results of different targets under varying water turbidity levels illustrate that our method is realizable and *** precision is verified by comparing the results with the precise displacement data and calculating two error *** proposed method based on polarized optical flow can obtain accurate displacement information and a good recognition *** target segmentation based on the Otsu method further proves the superiority of the polarized optical flow under turbid *** study is valuable for target detection and motion estimation in scattering environments.

With the intensified depletion of high-grade iron ores,the increased aluminum content in iron ore concentrates has become unavoidable,which is detrimental to the pelletization ***,the effect mechanism of aluminum on pellet quality must be *** this study,the influence of aluminum occurrence and content on the induration of hematite(H)and magnetite(M)pellets was investigated through the addition of corresponding Al-containing additives,including alumina,alumogoethite,gibbsite,and *** mineralogical analysis,combined with the thermodynamic properties of different aluminum occurrences and the quantitative characterization of consolidation behaviors,were conducted to determine the related *** results showed that the alumina from various aluminum occurrences adversely affected the induration characteristics of pellets,especially at an aluminum content of more than 2.0wt%.The thermal decomposition of gibbsite and kaolinite tends to generate internal stress and fine cracks,which hinder the respective microcrystalline bonding and recrystallization between *** adverse effect on the induration characteristics of fired pellets with different aluminum occurrences can be relieved to varying degrees through the formation of liquid phase bonds between the hematite *** is more beneficial to the induration process than the other three aluminum occurrences because of the formation of more liquid phase,which improves pellet *** research results can further provide insights into the effect of aluminum occurrence and content in iron ore concentrates on downstream processing and serve as a guide for the utilization of high-alumina iron ore concentrates in pelletization.

The development of aluminum-ion batteries(AIBs)is significantly confined by the limited high-performance cathode ***,organopolysulfides are investigated as active cathode materials to fabricate AIBs.A liquid-phase phenyl tetrasulfide(PTS)can deliver a capacity above 600 mAh g−1 after activation,with the maintenance of 253 mAh g−1 after 100 *** to the different S locations,PTS shows several voltage plateaus and an average voltage of∼0.7 V ***3+/Al with no decay upon *** importantly,the liquid PTS can serve as a high-Coulombic-efficiency cathode(∼99.88%±0.57%after stabilization),enlighting the design of high-efficiency and low-resistance conversion-type cathode materials for *** experimental characterizations accompanied by theoretical calculations,it is found that PTS undergoes stepwise reaction procedures during discharge with final products of Al2S3 and AlCl2-coordinated phenyl sulfide,and partially reforms with elemental S and other organopolysulfides during *** study demonstrates new opportunities for the design of high-efficiency conversion-type cathode materials for advanced AIBs.

Ultrasound application in alkaline pretreatment process of spodumene to improve particle floatability

Selective surface dissolution was found to be important in spodumene flotation. In this study, we proposed to introduce ultrasound into the pretreatment process to accelerate particle vibration and cavitation, as well as the migration of mineral surface components to solution. Micro-flotation results showed that the flotation recovery of spodumene can be 86.08% by ultrasound pretreatment, but only 39.30% by traditional mechanical agitation pretreatment. Compared with traditional mechanical agitation, ultrasonic pretreatment can shorten the pretreatment process, reduce the dosage of agents, reduce the mechanical agitation speed, and improve the efficiency of the pretreating process. Inductively coupled plasma analysis showed that, in the ultrasonic system, the amount of Li, Al, and Si species in the solution was twice as much as those in the traditional preprocessing system. Moreover, the scanning electron microscope results demonstrated a larger surface dissolution area in the ultrasonic system. X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the atomic concentration of Si species on the spodumene surface decreased, whereas the relative atomic concentrations of Li and Al species increased, indicating that the ultrasound effect strengthened the selective dissolution of elements on the mineral *** high-resolution spectra of O 1s showed that more collectors are adsorbed on the mineral surface treated by ultrasonic pretreatment.

In nature,shells exhibit remarkable high toughness and impact resistance to the external load despite their brittle main constituent and simple hierarchical *** this work,the structure of the mussel shell Hyriopsis cumingii is analyzed by scanning electron micro scope and atomic force microscope,and the macro/micro compression and impact tests are *** show that the shell has a three-layer structure:an outer cuticle layer,a prismatic layer,and a nacreous *** stiffer and load-dependent prismatic layer is conducive to improve the impact resistance of shell *** morphology after failure proves that cracks are transgranularly propagated inside the prism and aragonite platelet,and the crack deflection and platelet pullout can effectively lock the stress,thereby eventually improving the impact-resistance and toughness of the shell.

In view of the significant number of defective nanodevices in the Cmos/nanowire/MOLecular hybrid(CMOL)circuit,defect-tolerant mapping is an essential step to achieve correct logic operations in defective CMOL ***,less effort has been made to improve circuit delay by defect-tolerant *** this paper,the factors affecting the delay of mapped circuits are analyzed,and the path-tree based defect-tolerant mapping method for the delay optimization is *** the logic-domain,the terminology of the path tree is presented,and the logic circuit is first partitioned into multiple path ***,the mapping areas in the physic-domain are pre-planned for(near)critical path *** the mapping process,the specific mapping modes and an updating strategy are formulated to map the path trees:inputs are mapped based on input sorting;(near)critical path trees are mapped with priority,while the others are mapped in a hierarchical ***,an improved tabu search algorithm is employed to verify the validity of the proposed defect-tolerant mapping *** evaluations on the ISCAS benchmarks show that the proposed method can reduce circuit delay by 15.22%.

Upper-mantle velocity structures beneath the Tibetan Plateau and surrounding areas inferred from triplicated P waveforms

P-wave waveforms in the distance range between 12°and 30°were analyzed to investigate upper-mantle P velocity structures beneath the Tibetan Plateau and surrounding *** waveform data from 504 earthquakes with magnitudes larger than 5.0 between 1990 and 2005 that occurred within 30°from the center of the Plateau were *** divided the study area into 6 regions and modeled upper-mantle-distance P waveforms with turning points beneath each region *** results show that the uppermantle P-wave velocity structures beneath India,the Himalayas,and the Lhasa Terrane are similar and contain a high-velocity lid about 250 km *** upper-mantle velocities down to 200 km beneath the Qiangtang Terrane,the Tarim Basin,and especially the Songpan-GarzêTerrane are lower than those in the *** 410-km discontinuity beneath these two terranes is elevated by about 20 *** anomalies are found in the transition zone below 500 km under the Lhasa and Qiangtang *** results suggest that the Tibetan Plateau was generated by thrusting of the Indian mantle lithosphere under the southern part of *** of the thickened Eurasian mantle lithosphere were delaminated;they are now sitting in the transition zone beneath southern Tibet and atop of the 410-km discontinuity underneath northern Tibet.

Energy Efficient Power Allocation Scheme for Distributed Antenna Systems with Target BER Constraint

The energy efficiency(EE) of distributed antenna system with quality of service(Qo S) requirement is investigated over composite Rayleigh fading channel,where the shadow fading,path loss and Rayleigh fading are all considered. Our aim is to maximize the EE which is defined as the ratio of the transmission rate to the total consumed power subject to the maximum transmit power of each remote antenna constraint and Qo S(target BER) requirement. According to the definition of EE and using the upper bound of average EE,the optimized objective function is provided. Based on this,utilizing Karush-KuhnTucker conditions and numerical calculation,a suboptimal energy efficient power allocation(PA) scheme is developed,and the closedform expression of PA coefficients is derived. The scheme may obtain the EE performance close to the existing optimal scheme. Moreover,it has relatively lower complexity than the existing scheme because only the statistic channel information and less iteration are required. Simulation results show the presented scheme is valid and can meet the target BER requirement,and the EE can be increased as target BER requirement decreases.

The kinetics and the influence of time on granular manganese nitriding were studied by means of a vacuum resistance furnace,X-ray diffraction technique,and LECO TC-436 oxygen/nitrogen *** longer the nitriding time,the more the nitrogen *** for a trace of oxide MnO that developed,the metal manganese could thoroughly be nitrided to form Mn4N and a little ζ-phase（the stoichiometric components as Mn2N）with the nitriding time lasting.A kinetic model is developed to reveal the nitriding situation and agrees well with the experimental results.
