Information on the spatial and temporal patterns of surface carbon flux is crucial to understanding of source/sink mechanisms and projection of future atmospheric CO2 concentrations and climate. This study presents the construction and implementation of a terrestrial carbon cycle data assimilation system based on a dynamic vegetation and terrestrial carbon model Vegetation-Global-Atmosphere-Soil(VEGAS) with an advanced assimilation algorithm, the local ensemble transform Kalman filter(LETKF, hereafter LETKF-VEGAS). An observing system simulation experiment(OSSE) framework was designed to evaluate the reliability of this system, and numerical experiments conducted by the OSSE using leaf area index(LAI) observations suggest that the LETKF-VEGAS can improve the estimations of leaf carbon pool and LAI significantly, with reduced root mean square errors and increased correlation coefficients with true values, as compared to a control run without assimilation. Furthermore, the LETKF-VEGAS has the potential to provide more accurate estimations of the net primary productivity(NPP) and carbon flux to atmosphere(CFta).

A novel and fluorescence retention inverse opal has been achieved from organosilane-polymerized carbon dots（SiCDs）, which is prepared via infiltrating SiCD solution into the interstice of photonic crystal（PC） template, low temperature treatment, heating polymerization and removing the colloidal template. The as-prepared SiCD inverse opals demonstrate close-cell structure, which is completely different from conventional open-cell structure. Then the fluorescence signal of as-prepared sample keeps almost unchanged in CuCl suspension while the fluorescence of SiCD solution can be quenched by CuCl suspension through an effective electron transfer process. This phenomenon can be attributed to the combined effect of high hydrostatic pressure in the pore structure, stable crosslinking network and fluorescence enhancement by PC structure. The SiCD inverse opals have advantages of unique close-cell structure, easy preparation and good repeatability that give an important insight into the design and manufacture of novel and advanced optical devices.

Cross-Modal Graph Semantic Communication Assisted by Generative AI in the Metaverse for 6G

Recently, the development of the Metaverse has become a frontier spotlight, which is an important demonstration of the integration innovation of advanced technologies in the Internet. Moreover, artificial intelligence (AI) and 6G communications will be widely used in our daily lives. However, the effective interactions with the representations of multimodal data among users via 6G communications is the main challenge in the Metaverse. In this work, we introduce an intelligent cross-modal graph semantic communication approach based on generative AI and 3-dimensional (3D) point clouds to improve the diversity of multimodal representations in the Metaverse. Using a graph neural network, multimodal data can be recorded by key semantic features related to the real scenarios. Then, we compress the semantic features using a graph transformer encoder at the transmitter, which can extract the semantic representations through the cross-modal attention mechanisms. Next, we leverage a graph semantic validation mechanism to guarantee the exactness of the overall data at the receiver. Furthermore, we adopt generative AI to regenerate multimodal data in virtual scenarios. Simultaneously, a novel 3D generative reconstruction network is constructed from the 3D point clouds, which can transfer the data from images to 3D models, and we infer the multimodal data into the 3D models to increase realism in virtual scenarios. Finally, the experiment results demonstrate that cross-modal graph semantic communication, assisted by generative AI, has substantial potential for enhancing user interactions in the 6G communications and Metaverse.

We report a general and highly efficient Mukaiyama-aldol reaction of ketones and *** the reaction of aryl ketones worked efficiently in the presence of Bi(OTf)_3, that of aliphatic ketones required the use of Sc(OTf_)3. In addition, Sc(OTf)_3 was capable of achieving excellent 1,2-selectivity in the corresponding reaction of α,β-unsaturated ketones. This method provides a facile access to differently substituted β-hydroxy α,α-difluoro ketones, versatile synthons for difluomethylated tertiary alcohols.

The open ratio of a current collector has a great impact on direct methanol fuel cell(DMFC)*** a number of studies have investigated the influence of the open ratio of DMFC current collectors,far too little attention has been given to how geometry(including the shape and feature size of the flow field)affects a current collector with an equal open *** this paper,perforated and parallel current collectors with an equal open ratio of 50%and different feature sizes are designed,and the corresponding experimental results are shown to explain the geometry effects on the output power of the *** results indicate that the optimal feature sizes are between 2 and 2.5 mm for both perforated and parallel flow field in the current collectors with an equal open ratio of 50%.This means that for passive methanol fuel cells,to achieve the highest output power,the optimal feature size of the flow field in both anode and cathode current collectors is between 2 and 2.5 mm under the operating mode of this *** effects of rib and channel position are also investigated,and the results indicate that the optimum pattern depends on the feature sizes of the flow field.

高光谱成像技术具有快速、无损检测的特点,尤其在农作物生长监测方面具有广阔的应用前景。叶片氮含量是评估作物生长状况的重要指标之一,对诊断作物生长状况和制定精准施肥策略至关重要。通过获取柑橘叶片高光谱和检测叶片氮含量,探索二者的数学关系与模型,旨在建立柑橘叶片氮含量高光谱监测技术。为提升高光谱数据建模的精度,采用了标准正态变量变换(SNV)、平滑滤波函数(SG)等方法去除光谱数据中的噪声。利用竞争自适应加权采样法(CARS)和连续投影算法(SPA)筛选出与叶片氮含量关联度高的特征波段,结合偏最小二乘回归(PLSR)、支持向量机回归(SVR)、基于遗传算法(GA)和蝙蝠算法(BA)等对PLSR进行智能优化(O-PLSR)后预测叶片氮含量。结果表明:与SVR模型相比,PLSR模型呈现更高的精度;结合GA和BA算法对PLSR模型进行优化处理,进一步提高了建模精度,相较原始PLSR模型,决定系数(R^(2))最高提高了14.8%,且经SG滤波、CRAS特征波段选取、O-PLSR优化后的模型(SG-CRAS-O-PLSR)表现出最优的估算性能,其R^(2)、均方根误差分别为0.94和0.55。由此可见,建立的SG-CARS-O-PLSR模型具有较高的精度,可为今后推进实施果园信息化与智能化精准高效施肥管理提供理论依据和技术支持。

Two novel water-soluble indocyanine dyes were synthesized. Their chemical structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR, MS and UV-vis techniques. The absorptions of the prepared dyes in different solvents were measured. Two dyes exhibited negative solvatochromism, with a blue shift of the absorption and an emission maximum in （bovine serum albumin） protonic solvent relative to non protonic solvent. The fluorescence properties of the dyes in both free state and BSA were investigated. Significant enhancement of the fluorescence intensity for the Dye2 was observed in the presence of BSA. Dye2 could be proposed as fluorescent dyes for BSA detection in aqueous solution.

Magneto-mechanical coupling vibration arises in the in-vessel components of Tokamak devices especially during the plasma disruption. Strong electromagnetic forces cause the structures to vibrate while the motion in turn changes the distribution of the electromagnetic field. To ensure the Tokamak devices operating in a designed state, numerical analysis on the coupling vibration is of great importance. This paper introduces two numerical methods for the magneto-mechanical coupling problems. The coupling term of velocity and magnetic flux density is manipulated in both Eulerian and Lagrangian description, which brings much simplification in numerical implementation. Corresponding numerical codes have been developed and applied to the dynamic simulation of a test module in J-TEXT and the vacuum vessel of HL-2M during plasma disruptions. The results reveal the evident influence of the magnetic stiffness and magnetic damping effects on the vibration behavior of the in-vessel structures. Finally, to deal with the halo current injection problem, a numerical scheme is described and validated which can simulate the distribution of the halo current without complicated manipulations.
