Multi-region calcium imaging in freely behaving mice with ultra-compact head-mounted fluorescence microscopes

To investigate the circuit-level neural mechanisms of behavior, simultaneous imaging of neuronal activity in multiple cortical and subcortical regions is highly desired. Miniature head-mounted microscopes offer the capability of calcium imaging in freely behaving animals. However, implanting multiple microscopes on a mouse brain remains challenging due to space constraints and the cumbersome weight of the ***, we present TINIscope, a Tightly Integrated Neuronal Imaging microscope optimized for electronic and opto-mechanical design. With its compact and lightweight design of 0.43 g, TINIscope enables unprecedented simultaneous imaging of behavior-relevant activity in up to four brain regions in ***-of-concept experiments with TINIscope recorded over 1000 neurons in four hippocampal subregions and revealed concurrent activity patterns spanning across these regions. Moreover, we explored potential multi-modal experimental designs by integrating additional modules for optogenetics, electrical stimulation or local field potential recordings. Overall, TINIscope represents a timely and indispensable tool for studying the brain-wide interregional coordination that underlies unrestrained behaviors.

Safe flight corridor constrained sequential convex programming for efficient trajectory generation of fixed-wing UAVs

Engineering nanoparticle structure at synergistic Ru-Na interface for integrated CO_(2)capture and hydrogenation

The development of dual functional material for cyclic CO_(2)capture and hydrogenation is of great significance for converting diluted CO_(2)into valuable fuels,but suffers from kinetic limitation and deactivation of adsorbent and ***,we engineered a series of RuNa/γ-Al_(2)O_(3)materials,varying the size of ruthenium from single atoms to clusters/*** coordination environment and structure sensitivity of ruthenium were quantitatively investigated at atomic *** findings reveal that the reduced Ru nanoparticles,approximately 7.1 nm in diameter with a Ru-Ru coordination number of 5.9,exhibit high methane formation activity and selectivity at 340°*** Ru-Na interfacial sites facilitate CO_(2)migration through a deoxygenation pathway,involving carbonate dissociation,carbonyl formation,and ***-situ experiments and theoretical calculations show that stable carbonyl intermediates on metallic Ru nanoparticles facilitate heterolytic C–O scission and C–H bonding,significantly lowering the energy barrier for activating stored CO_(2).

荧光成像仪器的成像性能测试对于提高仪器的性能和临床转化成功率具有重要意义,成像性能测试的标准化需要一种可以精确模拟荧光光谱的长期稳定的样品作为测试工具。本团队提出了一种荧光发光模拟系统,该系统可以模拟荧光样品的激发效率、荧光发射谱特性和荧光空间分布特性,可以替代真实的荧光剂仿体对荧光成像类仪器进行量化表征。该系统采用的是基于线性滤光片和液晶显示器的光谱模拟方法。本团队还设计了一种改进的最小二乘光谱拟合算法,该算法可以自动模拟任意荧光发射谱。使用该系统模拟了近红外荧光造影剂吲哚菁绿(ICG)的发光特性,并对不同荧光成像仪器的成像灵敏度进行了测试。实验结果表明,所设计的荧光发光模拟系统可以稳定精准地模拟荧光样品的发光特性。

Penalty Function-Based Distributed Primal-Dual Algorithm for Nonconvex Optimization Problem

This paper addresses the distributed nonconvex optimization problem, where both the global cost function and local inequality constraint function are nonconvex. To tackle this issue, the p-power transformation and penalty function techniques are introduced to reframe the nonconvex optimization problem. This ensures that the Hessian matrix of the augmented Lagrangian function becomes local positive definite by choosing appropriate control parameters. A multi-timescale primal-dual method is then devised based on the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT) point of the reformulated nonconvex problem to attain convergence. The Lyapunov theory guarantees the model's stability in the presence of an undirected and connected communication network. Finally, two nonconvex optimization problems are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the previously developed method.

早产儿视网膜病变(ROP)是造成早产儿视力损伤甚至致盲的一个主要原因。及时的检查、诊断和干预能有效预防ROP进一步恶化。然而,目前全球范围内对ROP的诊断存在主观性强、筛查效率低、不同区域筛查普及率差异大、儿童眼底病医师严重不足等问题。人工智能(AI)在ROP诊断和治疗的应用作为人工诊断的辅助工具或者作为一个自动化的ROP诊断方式,可以有效地提高ROP诊断的效率和客观性,扩大筛查的覆盖面,实现筛查的自动化和诊断结果的量化。在全球重视医学影像AI发展和应用的大环境下,开发更准确的诊断网络,探索更有效的AI辅助诊断方法,增强AI辅助诊断的可解释性,可以更快推动ROP的AI相关政策的完善以及AI产品的落地,促进ROP诊断和治疗行业的发展。

Observer-based event-triggered formation tracking control for second-order multi-agent systems in constrained region

In this paper, an event-triggered time-varying formation tracking control for a class of second-order nonlinear multiagent systems(MAS) operating within a constrained region is investigated. To mitigate the negative effects of external unknown disturbance, a novel disturbance observer with performance guarantees is proposed, enabling precise disturbance *** the artificial potential field(APF) method, a repulsive potential function is introduced to prevent inter-agent collisions as well as collisions with environmental obstacles. To reduce continuous communication and frequent system updates, a sliding mode technique is incorporated into the formation tracking controller, utilizing an event-triggered mechanism. The controller is also applicable to the formation control of MAS in switching-constrained regions. The achievement of the specified timevarying geometric formation is rigorously demonstrated through the Lyapunov framework. Numerical simulations are presented to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
