Leading national space exploration agencies and private enterprises are actively engaged in lunar exploration initiatives to accomplish manned lunar landings and establish permanent lunar bases in the forthcoming *** limited access to lunar surface materials on Earth,lunar regolith simulants are crucial for lunar exploration *** Chang’e-5(CE-5)samples have been characterized by state-of-the-art laboratory equipment,providing a unique opportunity to develop a high-quality lunar regolith *** have prepared a high-fidelity PolyU-1 simulant by pulverizing,desiccating,sieving,and blending natural mineral materials on Earth based on key physical,mineral,and chemical characteristics of CE-5 *** results showed that the simulant has a high degree of consistency with the CE-5 samples in terms of the particle morphology,mineral and chemical *** shear tests were conducted on the simulant,and the measured internal friction angle and cohesion values can serve as references for determining the mechanical properties of CE-5 lunar *** PolyU-1 simulant can contribute to experimental studies involving lunar regolith,including the assessment of interaction between rovers and lunar regolith,as well as the development of in-situ resource utilization(ISRU)technologies.

High light-harvesting efficiency and low interfacial charge transfer loss are essential for the fabrication of high-efficiency quantum dot-based solar cells(QDSCs). Increasing the thickness of mesoporous TiO2films can improve the loading of pre-synthesized QDs on the film and enhance the absorbance of photoanode, but commonly accompanied by the increase in the unfavorable charge recombination due to prolonged electron transmission paths. Herein, we systematically studied the influence of the balance between QD loading and TiO2film thickness on the performance of QDSCs. It is found that the relative thin photoanode prepared by the cationic surfactant-assisted multiple deposition procedure has achieved a high QD loading which is comparable to that of the thick photoanode commonly used. Under AM 1.5G illumination, Zn–Cu–In–Se and Zn–Cu–In–S based QDSCs with optimized 11.8 μm photoanodes show the PCE of 10.03% and 8.53%, respectively, which are comparable to the corresponding highest PCE of Zn–Cu–In–Se and Zn–Cu–In–S QDSCs(9.74% and 8.75%) with over 25.0 μm photoanodes. Similarly, an impressive PCE of 6.14% was obtained for the CdSe based QDSCs with a 4.1 μm photoanode, which is slightly lower than the best PCE(7.05%)of reference CdSe QDSCs with 18.1 μm photoanode.

The direct tandem oxidation synthesis of benzenediol from benzene could simplify or even avoid the separation and purification of reaction intermediates, which is promising but challenged because of the further required immediate consecutive activation of intermediate phenol. In this work, a synergistic benzene tandem-oxidation catalyst that V-Cu bimetallic oxides modified nanoporous silica(VCu-NS)was constructed via a facile assembly strategy which involves addictive negative anion citric acid mediating the intercalation of metal-citric acid chelate in mesopore of silica and subsequent thermal calcination inducing dual-metal active site formation. Such a tactic could make amorphous VOxspecies well covered on the surface of mesopore, and ultrafine copper oxide particles surrounded and neighbored by highly dispersed VOxwith strong interplay in mesopore, which was comprehensively confirmed by various characterizations. Benefiting from the unique V-Cu neighboring effect, the desorption of formed phenol over the catalytic site might be restricted therefore easily further activated by the formed reactive oxidative species, 3VCu-NS shows synergetic tandem-oxidation catalytic activities for benzene towards benzenediol with a selectivity of 57%. The result allows optimal 3VCu-NS to be a promising catalyst for benzenediol synthesis from benzene.

In this study,sodium tripolyphosphate(STPP)was used to promote the removal of organic pollutants in a zero-valent copper(ZVC)/O2 system under neutral conditions for the first time.20 mg/L p-nitrophenol(PNP)can be completely decomposed within 120 min in the ZVC/O2/STPP *** PNP degradation process followed pseudo-first-order kinetics and the degradation rate of PNP gradually increased upon the decreasing ZVC particle *** optimal pH of the reaction system was *** mechanism investigation showed that Cu+generated by ZVC corrosion was the main reducing agent for the activation of 02 to produce ROS.-OH was identified as the only ROS formed during the degradation of PNP and its production pathway was the double-electron activation of O2(O2→H2 O2→·OH).In this process,STPP did not only promote the release of Cu+through its complexation,but also promoted the production of OH by reducing the redox potential of Cu2+/Cu+.In addition,we could initiate and terminate the reaction by controlling the *** pH8.1,the reaction was *** was recycled to continuously promote the corrosion of ZVC and O2 activation as long as the pH was<*** study provided a new and efficient way for O2 activation and organic contaminants removal.

Perovskite nanocrystals(PNCs)/polymer nanocomposites can combine the advantages of each other,but extremely few works can achieve the fabrication of PNCs/polymer nanocomposites by bulk *** originally adopt a two-type ligand strategy to fabricate bulk PNCs/polystyrene(PS)nanocomposites,including a new type of synthetic polymerizable *** CsPbCl_(3)PNCs/PS nanocomposites show extremely high transparency even the doping content up to 5 wt%.The high transparency can be ascribed to the Rayleigh scattering as the PNCs distribute uniformly without obvious *** on this behavior,we first exploit the potential of PNCs to serve as scatters inside light guided plate(LGP),whose surface illuminance and uniformity can be improved,and this new kind of LGP is compatible with the advanced liquid crystal display *** to the facile composition adjustment of CsPbCl_(x)Br_(3-x)(1≤x≤3)PNCs,the Rayleigh scattering behavior can also be adjusted so as to the performance of *** best-performing 5.0-inch LGP based on CsPbCl_(2.5)Br_(0.5)PNCs/PS nanocomposites shows 20.5 times higher illuminance and 1.8 times higher uniformity in display than the *** LGP based on PNCs/PS nanocomposite exhibits an enormous potential in commercialization no matter based on itself or combined with the LGP-related technology.

The collision of ships poses a great threat to the piers in navigable *** kinetic energy of the moving ship can be consumed not only with the structural deformation,but also with tensile force from the proposed Floating Two-stage Buffer Collision-Prevention System(FTBCPS).The actual anti-collision effect of the current designed FTBCPS can be evaluated by the dynamic *** construction method of 3D model is introduced,and the system initial state is *** transformation matrix and the basic kinematics vector are given,and the system basic dynamics equation is then *** mechanical analysis on each component is carried out,and the detailed process of numerical simulation is also *** simulation results indicate that collision direction and collision position have a great influence on the system kinematic *** pier faces the greatest threat when a ship hits the floater on the front beam in a nearly vertical direction,or on the side beam in a larger course *** study shows that the current designed FTBCPS can make full use of the fracture tensile property of polyester ropes and keep the tensile force acted on pier within its bearable range at the same *** collision direction has a significant effect on the dynamic response of the colliding bodies,but no failure appeared in the simulations,which indicates that the current designed FTBCPS can protect bridge piers of all cases for the 5000-t ship with a velocity smaller than 5 m/s in navigable waters.

Digital image processing-based automatic detection algorithm of cross joint trace and its application in mining roadway excavation practice

This paper proposes a digital image processing-based detection algorithm for cross joint traces of coal roadway heading ***,the acquired images were preprocessed,i.e.,adaptive correction was conducted for non-uniform illumination images based on the 2D gamma *** edge detection algorithm was then applied to extract the edges of the structural plane,followed by the filtration of the non-structural plane ***,the Hough transform algorithm was applied to extract the linear edges;finally,the edges were locally connected in accordance with the angle and distance *** experimental results show that this algorithm can be used to reduce the noise caused by non-uniform illumination and avoid the mutual interference of multi-scale edges,so as to effectively extract the traces of the cross ***,Q-system and rock mass rating(RMR),were applied to conduct a quantitative evaluation on the stand-up time of unsupported roof in the four test *** Q-system quality scores are 26.7,43.3,3.1,and 6.7,and the RMR quality scores are 56.84,58.73,48.42,and 51.42,*** stand-up time of unsupported roofs with a span of 4.6 m are 30,36,7.7 and 14 d,respectively.

A two-time-level, three-dimensional numerical ocean circulation model is established with a two-level, single-step Eulerian time-difference scheme. The mathematical model of the large-scale oceanic motions is based on the terrain-following coo-rdinated, Boussinesq, Reynolds-averaged primitive equations of ocean dynamics. A simple but very practical Eulerian forward-back-ward method is adopted to replace the most preferred leapfrog scheme as the time-difference method for both barotropic and barocli-nic modes. The forward-backward method is of the second order of accuracy, requires only once of the function evaluation per time step, and is free of the computational mode inherent in the three-level schemes. It is superior in many respects to the original leapfrog and Asselin-filtered leapfrog schemes in the practical use. The performance of the newly-built circulation model is tested by simula-ting a barotropic （tides in marginal seas of China） and a baroclinic phenomenon （seasonal evolution of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass）, respectively. The three-year time histories of four prognostic variables obtained by the POM model and the two-time-level model are compared in a regional simulation experiment for the northwest Pacific to further show the reliability of the two-level scheme circulation model.

Microstructure and mechanical properties in the TLP joint of FeCoNiTiAl and Inconel 718 alloys using BNi2 filler

High entropy alloy(HEA) of Fe Co Ni Ti Al and Inconel 718 superalloy were firstly transient liquid phase(TLP) bonded by BNi2 filler due to the diffusion of Si and B in the filler to the base metals. The effects of bonding time on microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the TLP joints were *** to the complete isothermal solidification of the joints bonded for 30 min 120 min at 1100°C,no athermally solidified zones(ASZs) formed by eutectic phases were observed in the welded zone. Thus the TLP joints were only composed by the isothermally solidified zone(ISZ) and two diffusion affected zone(DAZ) adjacent to the dissimilar base metals and the negative effect of the ASZ on joint properties can be avoided. In addition, the increase of the bonding time can also make the Ti B2 borides precipitated in the DAZ near HEA and the brittle borides or carbides in the DAZ near IN718 alloy decrease and reduce the possibility of the stress concentration happened in the joints under loading. Therefore, the highest shear strength(632.1 MPa) of the TLP joints was obtained at 1100°C for 120 min, which was higher than that of the joint bonded for 30 min, 404.2 MPa. Furthermore, the extension of the bonding time made the fracture mechanism of the joint be transformed from the intergranular fracture to the transgranular fracture. However, as the brittle borides in the DAZ near IN718 can not be eliminated completely and refining of grains also happened in such region, all the TLP joints fractured inner the DAZ near IN718 alloy.
