Parkinson's disease(PD)is a neurodegeneration disease withα-synuclein accumulated in the substantia nigra pars compacta(SNpc)and most of the dopaminergic neurons are lost in SNpc while patients are diagnosed with *** the pathology at an early stage contributes to the development of the disease-modifying *** the“gut–brain”hypothesis is proposed to explain the underlying mechanism,where the earlier lesioned site in the brain of gastricα-synuclein and howα-synuclein further spreads are not fully *** we report that caudal raphe nuclei(CRN)are the early lesion site of gastricα-synuclein propagating through the spinal cord,while locus coeruleus(LC)and substantia nigra pars compacta(SNpc)were further affected over a time frame of 7 ***α-synuclein propagation via CRN leads to neuron loss and disordered neuron activity,accompanied by abnormal motor and non-motor *** neuron circuits are observed among CRN,LC,and SNpc,which contribute to the venerability of dopaminergic neurons in *** results show that CRN is the key region for the gastricα-synuclein spread to the *** study provides valuable details for the“gut–brain”hypothesis and proposes a valuable PD model for future research on early PD intervention.

Background Corn arabinoxylan(AX)is a complicated and multibranched antinutritional factor,thereby proving the use of endo-xylanase(EX)to be marginally *** study focused on specific types of AX-degrading enzymes(ADEs)to exert the synergy of debranching enzymes and track the prebiotic potential of enzymatic *** study investigated the effects of ADEs on the growth performance,intestinal histomorphology,absorption functions,changes in polysaccharide components,fermentation,and gut microbiota of broiler *** hundred seventysix five-day-old Arbor Acres male broiler chickens were randomly allocated into eight treatments with six replicates *** basal diets supplemented with or without enzymes were fed for a 21-day period,specifically including EX,its compatible use with arabinofuranosidase(EXA)or ferulic acid esterase(EXF),and compound groups with the above three enzymes(XAF).Results Specific ADEs stimulated the jejunal villus height and goblet cell number and evidently decreased the crypt depth(P<0.05),while the ratio of ileal villus height to crypt depth was significantly increased in EXF(P<0.05).Maltase activities of ileal mucosa in XAF groups were extremely enhanced(P<0.01),and EX boosted the activity of Na+-K+ATPase in the small intestine(P<0.01).The insoluble AX concentrations comparatively lessened,thereby notably raising the sundry xylooligosaccharide(XOS)yield in the ileal chyme(P<0.05),which was dominant in xylobiose and *** in the abundance and diversity of ileal microbial communities within the EXA,EXF,and XAF treatments were observed(P<0.05).Positive correlations between microbiota and XOS were revealed,with xylobiose and xylotriose being critical for ten beneficial bacteria(P<0.05).EXF increased the BWG and FCR of broiler chickens in this phase(P<0.05),which was attributed to the thriving networks modified by *** intracecal contents of acetic acid,butyric acid,and propionic acid were greatly

The hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal(HPA) axis is a critical component of the neuroendocrine system,playing a central role in regulating the body's stress response and modulating various physiological processes. Dysregulation of HPA axis function disrupts the neuroendocrine equilibrium, resulting in impaired physiological functions. Acupuncture is recognized as a non-pharmacological type of therapy which has been confirmed to play an important role in modulating the HPA axis and thus favorably targets diseases with abnormal activation of the HPA axis. With numerous studies reporting the promising efficacy of acupuncture for neuroendocrine disorders, a comprehensive review in terms of the underlying molecular mechanism for acupuncture, especially in regulating the HPA axis, is currently in need. This review fills the need and summarizes recent breakthroughs, from the basic principles and the pathological changes of HPA axis dysfunction, to the molecular mechanisms by which acupuncture regulates the HPA axis. These mechanisms include the modulation of multiple neurotransmitters and their receptors, neuropeptides and their receptors, and microRNAs in the paraventricular nucleus,hippocampus, amygdala and pituitary gland, which alleviate the hyperfunctioning of the HPA *** review comprehensively summarizes the mechanism of acupuncture in regulating HPA axis dysfunction for the first time, providing new targets and prospects for further exploration of acupuncture.

Using the hydrographic data obtained during two nearly simultaneous surveys in June 2015,we carried out semi-diagnostic calculations with the help of a finite element model and a modified inverse method,to study the circulation in the northern South China Sea(NSCS)during the early summer of 2015.A number of new circulation features were found.(1)In most of the observation region,a large,basin-scale anticyclonic gyre appeared south of the 50-m isobath,which contained anticyclonic *** anticyclonic eddy existed from the sea surface to 50-m depth,whose center showed no tilt,while the center of another eddy tilted eastward from the sea surface to 500-m *** the eastern part of the observation region,which is west of the Dongsha Islands,there was a sub-basin-scale cyclonic gyre containing a cyclonic eddy whose center tilted southward from the sea surface to 200-m depth.(2)There was a cross-continental slope current(CCSC)in the area southwest of the Dongsha *** volume transport was about 2.0×10^(6) m^(3)/s.(3)From the estimated order of magnitude of the stream function equation,the joint effect term of the baroclinity and relief(JEBAR)andβ-effect term are two important dynamic mechanisms affecting the variation of the circulation in the NSCS.(4)The JEBAR,as a transport-generating term,resulted in the dynamic mechanism determining the pattern of the depth-averaged flow across the contours of potential vorticity fH–***,we show that the negative values of the JEBAR were the most dominant dynamic mechanism,causing the CCSC southwest of the Dongsha Islands to deflect from the isobaths and veer toward the deep *** CCSC around the Dongsha Islands was located further southwest during the early summer of 2015 than during the fall of 2005(revealed by a published study),which suggests that the location of the CCSC around the Dongsha Islands may vary with season.

We present a robust frequency synchronization algorithm for the Coherent optical Offset quadrature-amplitude modulation based Filter-bank multicarrier(CO-FBMC-OQAM) *** is a two-stage method operating in the frequency domain, which expands the estimated range of the normalized fractional frequency offset to(-1, +1).We designed and introduced a cascading cross-correlation function of real-valued pilots to roughly estimate the frequency offset in the first *** residual frequency offset was accurately tracked by a non-cascading cross-correlation function *** approach enlarges the maximum estimated range, and also resists interference and noise.A CO-FBMC-OQAM system with the sampling rate of 50 Gsample/s was numerically investigated to evaluate the frequency-offset estimation and compensation *** obtained results prove that the proposed frequency synchronization method can correct the laser-frequency offset and improve the transmission performance significantly.

At present, sudden load changes and terminal voltage fluctuations are two primary problems in the uninterrupted phase-separation passing (UPP) system. To further enhance the reliability of the UPP system and compensate for the voltage sag at the end of the traction power supply network caused by the suddenly connection of locomotive to the power grid, a multi-function uninterrupted phase-separation passing system (MUPPS) and its control strategy are proposed. It has the advantages of linear load change and improving power supply reliability. First, the topology and working principles of a MUPPS are studied;secondly, the current variation characteristics of the bridge arm when the power is continuously supplied by MUPPS during the phase-separation passing are analyzed. Then, the characteristics of a MUPPS to provide reactive power and stabilize the terminal voltage of the traction arm are analyzed. Then, the power transmission characteristics of a MUPPS under emergency working conditions are analyzed. The control strategy for the two conditions is proposed. Finally, simulation analysis and small capacity experiments are conducted. The theoretical analysis and test confirm the correctness and effectiveness of the MUPPS.

A Hybrid Aspect Based Latent Factor Model for Recommendation

Recommender system has been recognized as a superior way for solving personal information overload problem. More and more aspect-based models are leveraging user ratings and extracting information from review texts to support recommendation. Aspect-based latent factor model predicts user ratings relying on latent aspect inferred from user reviews. It usually constructs only a single global model for all users, which may be not sufficient to capture the diversity of users' preferences and leave some items or users be badly modeled. We propose a Hybrid aspect-based latent factor model(HALFM),which jointly optimizes the Global aspect-based latent factor model(GALFM) and the Local Aspect-based Latent Factor Models(LALFM), their user-specific combination,and the assignment of users to the LALFMs. HALFM makes prediction by combining user-specific of GALFM and many LALFMs. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed HALFM outperforms most of aspectbased recommendation techniques in rating prediction.

Anti-explosion performance and dynamic response of an innovative multi-layer composite explosion containment vessel

An innovative multi-layer composite explosion containment vessel(CECV)utilizing a sliding steel platealuminum honeycomb-fiber cloth sandwich is put forward to improve the anti-explosion capacity of a conventional single-layer explosion containment vessel(SECV).Firstly,a series of experiments and finite element(FE)simulations of internal explosions are implemented to understand the basic anti-explosion characteristics of a SECV and the rationality of the computational models and methods is verified by the comparison between the experimental results and simulation *** on this,the CECV is designed in detail and a variety of FE simulations are carried out to investigate effects of the sandwich structure,the explosive quantity and the laying mode of the fiber cloth on anti-explosion performance and dynamic response of the CECV under internal *** results indicate that the end cover is the critical position for both the SECV and *** maximum pressure of the explosion shock wave and the maximum strain of the CECV can be extremely declined compared to those of the *** a result,the explosive quantity the CECV can sustain is up to 20 times of that the SECV can ***,as the explosive quantity increases,the internal pressure of the CECV keeps growing and the plastic deformation and failure of the sandwich structure become more and more severe,yielding plastic strain of the CECV in addition to elastic *** results also reveal that the laying angles of the fiber cloth's five layers have an impact on the anti-explosion performance of the *** example,the CECV with fiber cloth layered in 0°/45°/90°/45°/0°mode has the optimal anti-capacity,compared to 0°/0°/0°/0°/0°and 0°/30°/60°/30°/0°***,owing to remarkable anti-explosion capacity,this CECV can be regarded as a promising candidate for explosion resistance.
