Unraveling post-growth mechanisms of monolayer CsPbBr3 nanocubes:Laser-enhanced transformations and cathodoluminescence-electron microscopy correlations

Lead-halide perovskite nanoparticles（LHP NPs） are highly promising materials for next-generation displays and solid-state lighting due to their exceptional optical properties. However, their inherent instability presents a significant challenge. Recent advances have demonstrated that optoelectronic devices based on monolayer nanoparticle films exhibit both high luminescence efficiency and long-term *** research demonstrates that mobility limitations and anisotropic alignments in CsPbBr3nanocube monolayer films are key to their stabilization, hindering spontaneous growth through face-to-face fusion and resulting in the formation of connecting necks in a diagonal direction. Introducing laser irradiation confirmed this by significantly accelerating nanocubes growth, increasing mobility, and enhancing local structural ordering, leading to larger and more regularly shaped nanosheets. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy line-scan analyses indicated that laser irradiation did not disrupt the ligand structure. Transmission electron microscopy and correlative cathodoluminescence electron microscopy revealed the effects of post-growth and heterogeneous structures, including enhanced luminescence and inhomogeneous intensity in the nanosheets. These findings deepen the understanding of the post-growth mechanism of monolayer nanoparticles and the structure-emission correlation and highlight the unique role of laser irradiation in directing the formation of well-defined and regular nanostructures.

Prediction of giant and ideal Rashba-type splitting in ordered alloy monolayers grown on a polar surface

A large and ideal Rashba-type spin-orbit splitting is desired for the applications of materials in spintronic devices and the detection of Majorana fermions in solids. Here, we propose an approach to achieve giant and ideal spin-orbit splittings through a combination of ordered surface alloying and interface engineering,that is, growing alloy monolayers on an insulating polar surface. We illustrate this unique strategy by means of first-principle calculations of buckled hexagonal monolayers of Sb Bi and Pb Bi supported on Al2O3(0001). Both systems display ideal Rashba-type states with giant spin-orbit splittings, characterized with energy offsets over 600 meV and momentum offsets over 0.3 ?-1, respectively. Our study thus points to an effective way of tuning spin-orbit splitting in low-dimensional materials to draw immediate experimental interest.

Population evolution at the prefecture-level city scale in China:Change patterns and spatial correlations

China has entered a new stage of high-quality ***,it is critical to grasp the latest population distribution and *** mean-variance grading,Moran’s index,and the Theil index,this study compared the differences in population changes between 2010–2020 and 2000–2010 at the prefecture-level city scale based on census data to analyze the new trends in population *** found that:(1)New growth poles of the population are inland provincial capitals,forming rapid-growing zones together with coastal urban *** growth in over 60%of the cities in the northern coastal urban agglomeration has slowed.(2)The scope of population loss in inland areas is constantly *** the northeastern part of China,92.7%of the cities have lost population,making this a typical population loss area.(3)Population shrinkage in the northeastern region and growth in the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration show diffusion characteristics,while population patterns around the provincial capital are in a polarized stage.(4)The Theil index of population distribution increased,with 83.91%of differences coming from between groups,indicating that the gap between cities of different sizes has further *** study provides scientific support for the coordinated promotion of nearby and remote urbanization.

Giant magnetic field from moiré induced Berry phase in homobilayer semiconductors

When quasiparticles move in condensed matters, the texture of their internal quantum structure as a function of position and momentum can give rise to Berry phases that have profound effects on the material’s properties. Seminal examples include the anomalous Hall and spin Hall effects from the momentum-space Berry phases in homogeneous crystals. Here, we explore a conjugate form of the electron Berry phase arising from the moiré pattern: the texture of atomic configurations in real space. In homobilayer transition metal dichalcogenides, we show that the real-space Berry phase from moiré patterns manifests as a periodic magnetic field with magnitudes of up to hundreds of Tesla. This quantity distinguishes moiré patterns from different origins, which can have an identical potential landscape, but opposite quantized magnetic flux per supercell. For low-energy carriers, the homobilayer moirés realize topological flux lattices for the quantum-spin Hall effect. An interlayer bias can continuously tune the spatial profile of the moiré magnetic field, whereas the flux per supercell is a topological quantity that can only have a quantized jump observable at a moderate bias. We also reveal the important role of the non-Abelian Berry phase in shaping the energy landscape in small moiré patterns. Our work points to new possibilities to access ultra-high magnetic fields that can be tailored to the nanoscale by electrical and mechanical controls.

Urbanization of county in China:Spatial patterns and influencing factors

This paper uses the fifth and sixth census data and 2018 demographic statistics to analyze the spatiotemporal evolution of the urbanization of county in China and the factors that influence the *** paper reveals that the urbanization level of counties is a weak area in China’s overall *** the period from 2000 to 2010,the spatial patterns of the urbanization level of counties remained *** with high-level urbanization were concentrated in the coastal areas of the eastern region,while counties that experienced rapid urbanization were mainly located in the central and western *** analyses indicate that harsh natural endowments that constrain economic development are the most important factors that hinder the urbanization of county;these factors include marginalized locations far away from center cities,high altitudes,and a population with a low education *** paper also compares two theoretical modes of new-type urbanization,nearby urbanization and remote urbanization,and argues that the new-type urbanization of county is the main form of nearby urbanization and provides an example of urbanization for developing countries worldwide.

Revisiting the Relationship Between Urbanization and Economic Development in China Since the Reform and Opening-up

The relationship between urbanization and economic development has become a hot topic in the scientific community due to its great practical significance,and economic and social ***,this relationship continues to change *** the new stage of urbanization,it is urgent to reveal the causal relationship quantitatively and diagnose the future direction *** on this,this paper calculates the contribution rate of China’s urbanization to economic development from 1978 to 2019 and uses the panel data cointegration test method to explore the causal relationship between urbanization and economic development in *** study has three principal ***,the contribution rate of urbanization to economic growth has maintained the overall growth trend from1978 to 2019,but the growth rate of urbanization’s contribution to economic growth has been relatively low since *** is an important reason that the real estate sector has moved into a new stage of ***,the cointegration test shows that economic development is a significant factor in advancing urbanization and the urbanization is the product of economic *** has a positive feedback effect on economic development,but this effect does not pass the 5%significance level *** impulse response function shows that the impact of urbanization on economic development is relatively small and stable,indicating that it is limited that the boost of economic development by land-centered ***,China’s urbanization and economic development have both shown rapid growth for some time,but their relationship is still the low level of coordination,which has also led to a downward trend in the contribution of new-type,people-oriented urbanization to economic growth in recent *** the future,China’s urbanization and economy need to maintain relatively medium-low speed growth in the medium-long term,and we should boost the coordinated development of

A high performance preoxidized poly(acrylonitrile)(O-PAN)nanofiber membrane with excellent solvent resistance,thermal stability and flexibility was fabricated by the preoxidation of electrospun PAN nanofiber *** performance of resultant O-PAN nanofiber membrane was optimized by altering the PAN concentration and preoxidation *** results showed that the O-PAN nanofiber membrane which made from PAN concentration of 14%(mass)and preoxidation temperature of 250.0℃ have a more optimal comprehensive *** the long-term separation test of SiO2 particle(1 μm)in DMAc suspension,the permeate flux of O-PAN nanofiber membrane stabilized at 227.91 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1)(25℃,0.05 MPa)while the SiO2 rejection above 99.6%,which showed excellent solvent resistance and separation *** order to further explore the application of the O-PAN nanofiber membrane,the OPAN nanofiber membrane was treated with fluoride and used in oil/water separation *** O-PAN nanofiber membrane after hydrophobic treatment showed excellent hydrophobicity and good oil/water separation performance with the permeate flux about 969.59 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1)while the separation efficiency above 96.1%.The O-PAN nanofiber membrane exhibited a potential application prospect in harsh environment separation.

Global large-scale urbanization and climate change have become indisputable scientific facts yet are unresolved issues,and are a common concern for *** relationship between these two topics is unclear and it is not known how to deal appropriately at the scientific level with climate change in the process of *** exploration of the science,management and practice,are needed to achieve global and regional *** paper first considers the basic facts concerning mass urbanization and climate change and summarizes the interactions and possible mechanisms of urbanization and climate *** leads to the heat island effect,an uneven distribution of precipitation and extreme weather,together with a local-regional-global multi-scale superposition effect,which aggravates the consequences of global climate *** impact of climate change on urbanization is mainly manifested in aspects such as changes of energy consumption,mortality,and the spread of infectious diseases,sea level rise,extreme weather damage to infrastructure,and water *** paper also briefly reviews relevant international research programs and action coalitions and puts forward an analysis framework multi-dimensional sustainable urbanization which can adapt to and mitigate climate change,from the perspective of the four key dimensions—population,land use,economy,and *** is imperative that we strengthen the interdisciplinary activities involving the natural and social sciences,take urbanization and other human activities into consideration of the land-atmosphere system,and explore the human-land-atmosphere coupling *** adaptation and mitigation from the perspective of human activities,as represented by urbanization,might be the most critical and realistic way to deal with climate change.

Urbanization in China Based on International Comparison:A Discussion with Two Prevalent Views
