Herb-drug enzyme-mediated interactions and the associated experimental methods： a review

OBJECTIVE: To review the interactions between herbs and widely used drugs and summarize the associated experimental ***: Definite herb-drug interactions were obtained by searching Pub Med, other large overseas databases and summarizing new researches from China. We summarize some methods to assess the interaction between herbs and drugs involving microsomal, cell culture and animal experiments, and clinical trials, classifying this method as single ingredient herbs, crude herb extracts, andherbal ***: Many herbs interact with drugs through a complex cytochrome P450 and/or P-glycoprotein mechanism. Herb-induced enzyme inhibition and/or induction may result in enhanced and / or decreased plasma, tissue, urine and bile drug concentrations, leading to a change in a drug's pharmacokinetic parameters and resulting in the improper treatment of patients and potentially severe side effects. Use of an appropriate method for comprehensively assessing herb-drug interactions can minimize clinical risks. Different methods were used by researchers to assess the pharmacological changes of drugs in vivo and in vitro and the mechanisms of the interactions from microsomal, cell culture and animal experiments, and clinical trials are discussed in this ***: Co-medication with herbs can result in changes in pharmacological effects of many drugs. This review describes the assessment of single-ingredient herbs, crude herb extracts, and herbal formulae. When choosing a research method to investigate herb-drug interactions, the properties of the drugs and herbs should be considered.

Highly effective design of high GFA alloys with different metalbased and various components by machine learning

Nuclear charge radius predictions by kernel ridge regression with odd-even effects

The extended kernel ridge regression(EKRR)method with odd-even effects was adopted to improve the description of the nuclear charge radius using five commonly used nuclear *** are:(i)the isospin-dependent A^(1∕3) formula,(ii)relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov(RCHB)theory,(iii)Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov(HFB)model HFB25,(iv)the Weizsacker-Skyrme(WS)model WS*,and(v)HFB25**** the last two models,the charge radii were calculated using a five-parameter formula with the nuclear shell corrections and deformations obtained from the WS and HFB25 models,*** each model,the resultant root-mean-square deviation for the 1014 nuclei with proton number Z≥8 can be significantly reduced to 0.009-0.013 fm after considering the modification with the EKRR *** best among them was the RCHB model,with a root-mean-square deviation of 0.0092 *** extrapolation abilities of the KRR and EKRR methods for the neutron-rich region were examined,and it was found that after considering the odd-even effects,the extrapolation power was improved compared with that of the original KRR *** strong odd-even staggering of nuclear charge radii of Ca and Cu isotopes and the abrupt kinks across the neutron N=126 and 82 shell closures were also calculated and could be reproduced quite well by calculations using the EKRR method.

With the rapid development of 5G information technology,thermal conductivity/dissipation problems of highly integrated electronic devices and electrical equipment are becoming *** this work,“high-temperature solid-phase&diazonium salt decomposition”method is carried out to prepare benzidine-functionalized boron nitride(m-BN).Subsequently,m-BN/poly(pphenylene benzobisoxazole)nanofiber(PNF)nanocomposite paper with nacremimetic layered structures is prepared via sol–gel film transformation *** obtained m-BN/PNF nanocomposite paper with 50 wt%m-BN presents excellent thermal conductivity,incredible electrical insulation,outstanding mechanical properties and thermal stability,due to the construction of extensive hydrogen bonds andπ–πinteractions between m-BN and PNF,and stable nacre-mimetic layered ***λ∥andλ_(⊥)are 9.68 and 0.84 W m^(-1)K^(-1),and the volume resistivity and breakdown strength are as high as 2.3×10^(15)Ωcm and 324.2 kV mm^(-1),***,it also presents extremely high tensile strength of 193.6 MPa and thermal decomposition temperature of 640°C,showing a broad application prospect in high-end thermal management fields such as electronic devices and electrical equipment.
