Characteristics of air pollution by polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans in the typical industrial areas of Tangshan City,China

The ambient air in vicinity of different industrial sources for PCDD/PCDFs was sampled by TSP/PM10 active samplers and passive PUF disk samplers in Tangshan City, a metropolis containing clusters of various industrial plants. The TEQ concentrations of PCDD/PCDFs ranged from 44.2 to 394.1 fg I-TEQ/m^3 with an average of 169.9 fg I-TEQ]m^3. 2,3,4,7,8-PeCDF was the dominant contributor to ∑TEQ, contributing 41% （12% to 55%）, while 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDE OCDD and OCDF were the major congeners for the total concentrations. The ratios of ∑PCDF/∑PCDD reached 2.54 on average, suggesting that de novo synthesis in thermal processes played an important role to the airborne pollution of PCDD/PCDFs. The similarities congener profiles indicated that TSP and PM10 active sampling methods are comparable for the determination of the PCDD/PCDFs in ambient air, and the ratios of concentrations determined by the two methods suggested that the PCDD/PCDFs tended to stay in fine particles. It was found that 2,3,7,8-TCDF and OCDD were the dominating congeners in the passive PUF disks samples. Through principal components analysis, the coke industry was suggested to be a relatively high potential emission source for PCDD/PCDFs in the ambient air of Tangshan, which was possibly formed by de novo synthesis mechanism. In this study, the atmospheric impacts to the environment from different industrial sources could be ranked as follows （from high to low）： coking, iron sintering, steel making, power generation and chlorinate alkali chemical production industries.

The SARS-CoV-2 variants have been emerging and have made great challenges to current vaccine and pandemic control strategies.It is urgent to understand the current immune status of various Chinese populations given that the preexisting immunity has been established by national vaccination or ex posure to past variants.Using sera from 85 individuals(including 21 convalescents of natural infection,15 cases which suffered a breakthrough infection after being fully vaccinated,and 49 healthy vaccinees),we showed signifcantly enhanced neutralizing activities against SRAS-CoV-2 variants in convalescent sera,especially those who had been fully vaccinated.The neut ralizing antibodies against Omicron were detectable in 75%of convalescents and 4.9%of healthy vaccinees(p=0.006),with a GMT of 289.5,180.9-463.3,and 42.6,31.3-59,respetively.However,the neutralizing activities were weaker in young convalescents(aged<18y),with a detectable rate of 50%and a GMT of 46.4 against Omicron.We also examined and found no pan.sarbecovirus neutralizing activities in vaccinated SARS-CoV-I survivors.A booster dose could further increase the breadth and magnitude of neutralization against WT and variants of concern(VOCs)to different degrees.In addition,we showed that COVID-19-inactivated vaccines can elicit Omicron-specific T-cell responses.The positive rates of ELISpot reactions were 26.7%(4/15)and 43.8%(7/16)in the full vaccination group and the booster vaccination group,respectively,although without statistically significant difference.The neutralizing antibody titers declined while T-cell responses remain consistent over 6 months.These findings will inform the optimization of public health vaccination and intervention strategies to protect diverse populations against SARS-CoV-2 variants.Advances.Breakthrough infection significantly boosted neutralizing activities against SARS-CoV-2 variants a compared to booster immunization with inaclivated vaccine.Vaccine-induced vir us-specific T-cell immunity,on the other hand,may compensate for the s

The acute lethality and endocrine effect of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD in juvenile goldfish (Carassius auratus) in vivo

1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD was administrated to juvenile goldfish （Carassius auratus） by peritoneal injections to explore the acute lethality and endocrine effects of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD in vivo. The value of acute median lethal dosage （LD50） of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD was determined in acute lethality tests. The endocrine effect of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD, whose exposed concentrations were determined based on the LD50 （1.84 mg/kg）, was studied by measuring the plasma vitellogenin （Vtg） content in juvenile male goldfish with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays （ELISA）. Due to its significant induction of the plasma Vtg after one week＇s exposure in vivo in the 1/2 LD50 and LD30 groups, 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD might be one of the important contributors to the estrogenic effect of PCDDs in the environment. The values of 1/2 LD50 and LD30 were within the range of the effective dosages of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD, indicating that there was a certain relationship between the estrogenic effective dosages and the LD50.

The Chang 7 member of the upper Triassic in the southwest Ordos Basin:Carbon isotope studay of dispersed organic matter and its paleoclimate significance

The carbon isotope δ 13C value of dispersed organic matter in the Upper Triassic sediments in the Ordos basin is （-24.5 to -26.6） ×10^-3 with the carbon being derived from C3-1ike pleustons. The paleoclimate of the Late Triassic, especially during the deposition of the Chang 7 member, was characterized by a hot and humid climate. It underwent four small climate cycles from humid and warm to humid and hot.

Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans in different tissues of the cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo) from Dongting Lake,China

Tissue distribution provides important information regarding the pharmacokinetic behavior of pollutants and is invaluable when analyzing the risk posed to avian species by the exposure to such kind of pollutants. In this study, concentrations of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins （PCDDs） and polychlorinated dibenzofurans （PCDFs） were determined in muscle, liver, spleen, kidney, stomach, gall bladder, skin, heart, pancreas, intestine and lung tissue extracts of cormorants collected from Dongting Lake, China. Tissue distribution results showed preferential accumulation of PCDD/Fs in both liver and skin. The total concentration of PCDD/Fs ranged from 421 to 5696 pg/g lipid weight. Octachlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin （OCDD） was the predominant congener in all tissues and contributed between 31% and 82% to all 17 PCDD/Fs in different tissues. The liver/muscle ratios progressively increased with the degree of chlorination of PCDDs, except for OCDD. The relative toxic potential of PCDDs and PCDFs in tissues were calculated using the World Health Organization （WHO） Toxic Equivalency Factors （TEFs） for birds. The concentrations of WHO-toxic equivalent in different tissues ranged between 14.8 and 2021 pg/g lipid weight. These results indicated PCDD/Fs may have been bio-accumulated in cormorant via food-web. Furthermore, when compared with studies reported in the literatures, the PCDD/Fs levels in the cormorant collected from Dongting Lake were still relatively high.

Research on closed-loop simulation system for digital AC servo system

An intelligent and efficient closed-loop simulation system without any hardware is proposed for AC servo system.According to the characteristics of AC servo system and its control processor,the code executing platform combined with the reverse Polish notation algorithm is developed.To gain the accurate simulation results,the discrete motor model and IPM model are built to deal with the dead-time.Based on the simulation system,parameter identification can be implemented and control parameters can be optimized by using the exhaust algorithm.The parameters obtained by the simulation system were successfully applied to an experimental system,and the favorable control performance was achieved.

Intrusion Detection Model Based on Incomplete Information Ga me in Wireless Mesh Networks

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) have many applications in homes, schools, enterprises, and public places because of their useful characteristics, such as high bandwidth, high speed, and wide coverage. However, the security of wireless mesh networks is a precondition for practical use. Intrusion detection is pivotal for increasing network security. Considering the energy limitations in wireless mesh networks, we adopt two types of nodes: Heavy Intrusion Detection Node (HIDN) and Light Intrusion Detection Node (LIDN). To conserve energy, the LIDN detects abnormal behavior according to probability, while the HIDN, which has sufficient energy, is always operational. In practice, it is very difficult to acquire accurate information regarding attackers. We propose an intrusion detection model based on the incomplete information game (ID-IIG). The ID-IIG utilizes the Harsanyi transformation and Bayesian Nash equilibrium to select the best strategies of defenders, although the exact attack probability is unknown. Thus, it can effectively direct the deployment of defenders. Through experiments, we analyze the performance of ID-IIG and verify the existence and attainability of the Bayesian Nash equilibrium.

Effective tuning of nanoscale domain structures provides fundamental basis for controlling and engineering of various functionalities in ferroelectric materials.In this work,we demonstrate the precise patterning of nanoscopic domain structures in as-grown epitaxial PbTiO_(3)(PTO)films by merely introducing an ultrathin pre-patterned doping layer(e.g.,Fe-doped PTO).The doping layer can effectively reverse the interfacial built-in bias,consequent to a reversed initial polarization reorientation in the as-grown film,which makes it possible to transfer the nano-patterns in the doping layer into the domain structure of ferroelectric films.For instance,we have successfully fabricated large area ordered array of nanoscale cylindrical domains(downward polarization)embedded in the matrix domain with opposite polarization(upward polarization)in PTO film.These nanoscale cylinder domains also allow deterministic and reversible erasure and creation induced by biased tip scanning.The results provide an effective pathway for on-demand patterning of large area nanoscale domains in the as-grown films,which may find applications in a wide range of nanoelectronic devices.

The preparation of the single domain GBCO bulk with 25 mm in diameter in air was reported. In order to avoid the Gd ions substituted the Ba sites, different BaCuO2 contents was added into the precursor powders. Tc of the samples achieved 94.3 K. The magnetization hysteresis loops of the samples were measured at 77 K. It is shown that the irreverswas obtained.
