Dual pH-responsive “charge-reversal like” gold nanoparticles to enhance tumor retention for chemo-radiotherapy

The strategy of pH-responsive aggregation in tumor micro-environment(TME)provides an intriguing platform for enhancing tumor retention and exerting therapeutic effects *** this work,we have designed an intelligent dual pH-responsive self-aggregating nano gold system(Au@PAH-Pt/DMMA)for the combined chemo-radiotherapy,in which a“charge-reversal like”strategy was utilized to realize irreversible stable aggregation and pH-specific release of cisplatin prodrug in *** aggregation increases the cellular uptake of Au@PAH-Pt/DMMA by 55%–60%,and the cellular uptake of Pt after X-ray irradiation can be further enhanced by 80%.Additionally,responsive aggregation greatly slows down the rate of efflux from tumor in *** system not only promotes B16 cell apoptosis as a chemotherapeutic agent(30.4%),it also enhances the effect of chemo-radiotheray(CRT)by promoting apoptosis as a radiosensitizer(55.3%).The colony formation assay results were fitted to cell survival curve of B16 cells and the sensitization enhancement ratio(SER)was calculated to be 1.29,which shows a good radiosensitizing *** exposed to X-ray,this nanoplatform reached the ideal therapeutic effect,and the tumor inhibition rate of Au@PAH-Pt/DMMA reached 91.6%with low drug administration frequency and dose of ***,the dual pH-responsive nanoparticles Au@PAH-Pt/DMMA could effectively enhance tumor therapeutic efficiency by combined chemo-radiotherapy,which provides a potential method for clinical transformation of cancer treatment.

Inconvenient dual-laser irradiation and tumor hypoxic environment as well as limited judgment of treating region have impeded the development of combined photothermal and photodynamic therapies(PTT and PDT).Herein,Bi2Se3@AIPH nanoparticles(NPs)are facilely developed to overcome these *** a one-step method,free radical generator(AIPH)and phase transition material(lauric acid,LA,44-46°C)are encapsulated in hollow bismuth selenide nanoparticles(Bi2Se3 NPs).Under a single 808-nm laser irradiation at the tumor area,hyperthermia produced by Bi2Se3 not only directly leads to cell death,but also promotes AIPH release by melting LA and triggers free radical generation,which could further eradicate tumor cells in hypoxic ***,Bi2Se3 with high X-ray attenuation coefficient endows the NPs with high computed tomography(CT)imaging capability,which is important for treating area *** results exhibit that Bi2Se3@AIPH NPs possesses 31.2%photothermal conversion efficiency for enhanced PTT,ideal free radical generation for oxygen-independent PDT,and 37.77 HU mL mg?1 X-ray attenuation coefficient for CT imaging with high *** importantly,the tumor growth inhibition rate by synergistic PTT,PDT,and following immunotherapy is 99.6%,and even one tumor disappears completely,which demonstrates excellent cascaded synergistic effect of Bi2Se3@AIPH NPs for the tumor therapy.

A novel photo-catalytic system composed of N-doped biochars(NBCs),MnFe_(2)O_(4) and sulfite activation under ultraviolet(NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)/sulfite/UV)was constructed to realize the efficient eliminate of tetracycline(TC).As the carrier of MnFe_(2)O_(4),NBCs were synthesized from alfalfa,which has large specific surface area,graphite like structure and hierarchical porous *** adsorption isotherm indicated that NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)-2:1 had the best adsorption performance for TC(347.56 mg g^(-1)).Through synergistic adsorption and photocatalysis,the removal rate of TC reached 84%,which was significantly higher than that of MnFe_(2)O_(4).Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and Photoluminescence(PL)characterization results showed that the introduction of NBCs improved the separation efficiency of photogenerated electron and hole pairs and enhanced the photocatalytic ***,the adsorption,degradation mechanism and degradation path of TC by the catalyst were systematically analyzed by coupling HPLC–MS measurement with the theoretical *** the advantages of excellent degradation performance,low cost,easy separation and environmental friendliness of NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4),this work was expected to provide a new path for the practical application of biochar.

High frequency pulsating voltage injection method is a good candidate for detecting the initial rotor position of permanent magnet synchronous ***,traditional methods require a large number of filters,which leads to the deterioration of system stability and dynamic *** order to solve these problems,a new signal demodulation method is proposed in this *** proposed new method can directly obtain the amplitude of high-frequency current,thus eliminating the use of filters,improving system stability and dynamic performance and saving the work of adjusting filter *** addition,a new magnetic polarity detection method is proposed,which is robust to current measurement ***,experiments verify the effectiveness of the method.

The development of germplasm resources and advances in breeding methods have led to steady increases in yield and quality of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Three milestones in the recent history of rice breeding have contributed to these increases: dwarf rice breeding, hybrid rice breeding, and super rice breeding. On the 50th anniversary of the success of three-line hybrid rice,we highlight important scientific discoveries in rice breeding that were made by Chinese scientists and summarize the broader history of the field. We discuss the strategies that could be used in the future to optimize rice breeding further in the hope that China will continue to play a leading role in international rice breeding.

The effect of Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) mass ratio and CaO content on the viscosity and structure of the CaO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-6MgO-1.5ZrO_(2)-1.5CeO_(2) slag was *** results show that with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) mass ratio,the viscous flow units within the slag gradually change from Si-O-Si to Al-O-Al and ***,the substitution of Al_(2)O_(3) for SiO_(2) leads to the transformation of Si-O bonds towards weaker Al-O bonds,which weaken the bond strength of the aluminosilicate networks,thus leading to a decrease in the viscosity of *** increase in CaO content effectively promotes the depolymerization of the aluminosilicate networks,resulting in a significant decrease in the viscosity of the *** slag with Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) of 0.7-1.5 and CaO of 30 wt.%shows promise as the reference slag system for the Fe-collection smelting of spent automotive catalysts due to its good comprehensive performance.

The emergence of the metaverse has ledto the rapidly increasing demand for the generation ofextensive 3D worlds. We consider that an engagingworld is built upon a rational layout of multiple landuse areas (e.g., forest, meadow, and farmland). Tothis end, we propose a generative model of landuse distribution that learns from geographic *** model is based on a transformer architecturethat generates a 2D map of the land-use layout,which can be conditioned on spatial and semanticcontrols, depending on whether either one or bothare provided. This model enables diverse layoutgeneration with user control and layout expansion byextending borders with partial inputs. To generatehigh-quality and satisfactory layouts, we devise ageometric objective function that supervises the modelto perceive layout shapes and regularize generationsusing geometric priors. Additionally, we devise aplanning objective function that supervises the modelto perceive progressive composition demands andsuppress generations deviating from controls. Toevaluate the spatial distribution of the generations, wetrain an autoencoder to embed land-use layouts intovectors to enable comparison between the real andgenerated data using the Wasserstein metric, which isinspired by the Fr´echet inception distance.
