One-step calcination synthesis of interface-coherent crystallized and surface-passivated LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4) for high-voltage lithium-ion battery

LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)(LNMO)with a spinel crystal structure presents a compelling avenue towards the development of economic cobalt-free and high voltage(~5 V)lithium-ion ***,the elevated operational voltage of LNMO gives rise to pronounced interfacial interactions between the distorted surface lattices characterized by Jahn-Teller(J-T)distortions and the electrolyte ***,a localized crystallized coherent LaNiO_(3) and surface passivated Li_(3)PO_(4) layer is deposited on LNMO via a one-step calcination *** evidenced by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(ToF-SIMS)and density functional theory(DFT)calculation,the epitaxial growth of LaNiO_(3) along the LNMO lattice can effectively stabilize the structure and inhibit irreversible phase transitions,and the Li_(3)PO_(4) surface coating can prevent the chemical reaction between HF and transition metals without sacrificing the electrochemical *** addition,the ionic conductive Li_(3)PO_(4) and atomic wetting inter-layer enables fast charge transfer transport ***,the LNMO material enabled by the lattice bonding and surface passivating features,demonstrates high performance at high current densities and good capacity retention during long-term *** rational design of interface coherent engineering and surface coating layers of the LNMO cathode material offers a new perspective for the practical application of high-voltage lithium-ion batteries.

Coupling Sb_(2)WO_(6)microflowers and conductive polypyrrole for efficient potassium storage by enhanced conductivity and K^(+) diffusivity

Although metal oxide compounds are considered as desirable anode materials for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)due to their high theoretical capacity,the large volume variation remains a key issue in realizing metal oxide anodes with long cycle life and excellent rate *** this study,polypyrroleencapsulated Sb_(2)WO_(6)(denoted Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy)microflowers are synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method followed by in-situ polymerization and coating by *** the nanosheet-stacked Sb_(2)WO_(6)microflower structure,the improved electronic conductivity,and the architectural protection offered by the PPy coating,Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy exhibits boosted potassium storage properties,thereby demonstrating an outstanding rate property of 110.3 m A h g^(-1)at 5 A g^(-1)and delivering a long-period cycling stability with a reversible capacity of 197.2 m A h g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A g^(-1).In addition,the conversion and alloying processes of Sb_(2)WO_(6)@PPy in PIBs with the generation of intermediates,K_(2)WO_(4)and K_(3)Sb,is determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and exsitu X-ray diffraction during potassiation/*** functional theory calculations demonstrate that the robust coupling between PPy and Sb_(2)WO_(6)endues it with a much stronger total density of states and a built-in electric field,thereby increasing the electronic conductivity,and thus effectively reduces the K^(+)diffusion barrier.

Evolutionary mechanism and frequency response of graphite electrode at extreme temperatures

The battery management system is employed to monitor the external temperature of the lithium-ion battery in order to detect any potential ***,this outside–in detection method often suffers from a lag and is therefore unable to accurately predict the battery’s real-time ***,an inside–out frequency response approach is used to accurately monitor the battery’s state at various temperatures in real-time and correlate it with the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)evolution of the graphite *** SEI evolution at temperatures of−15,25,60,and 90℃exhibits certain regular characteristics with temperature *** a temperature of−15℃,the Li^(+)-solvent interaction of lithium-ion slowed down,resulting in a significant reduction in *** 25℃,a LiF-rich inorganic SEI was identified as forming,which facilitated lithium-ion ***,high temperatures would induce decomposition of lithium hexafluorophosphate(LiPF_(6))and lithium-ion *** the extreme temperature of 90℃,the SEI would be organic-rich,and Li_(x)P_(y)F_(z),a decomposition product of lithium salts,was further oxidized to Li_(x)PO_(y)F_(z),which led to a surge in the charge-transfer resistance at SEI(R_(sei))and a reduction in Coulombic efficiency(CE).This changing relationship can be recorded in real time from the inside out by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)*** provides a new theoretical basis for the structural evolution of lithium-ion batteries and the regular characterization of EIS.

Rational design of three-dimensional branched NiCo-P@CoNiMo-P core/shell nanowire heterostructures for high-performance hybrid supercapacitor

Owing to the dramatically enhanced charge-mass transport and abundant electrochemically active sites,transition metal compound electrodes are increasingly attractive for achieving high-performance supercapacitors(SCs).Here,we report the fabrication of nickel foam supported three-dimensional(3 D)branched nickel-cobalt phosphides@tri-metal cobalt-nickel-molybdenum phosphides core/shell nanowire heterostructures(denoted as NiCo-P@CoNiMo-P)as high-performance electrode materials for hybrid *** presence of multiple valences of the cations in such NiCo-P@CoNiMo-P enables rich redox reactions and promoted synergy *** from their collective effects,the resulting electrode demonstrates high specific capacity of 1366 C g^(-1) at 2 A g^(-1)(2.03 C cm^(-2) at2 mA cm^(-2))and 922 C g^(-1) at 10 A g^(-1),as well as good cycling stability(retaining~94%of the initial capacity after 6000 cycles at 15 A g^(-1)).A hybrid SC using the NiCo-P@CoNiMo-P as the positive electrode and N-doped rGOs as the negative electrode exhibits a high energy density of 81.4 Wh kg^(-1) at a power density of 1213 W kg^(-1) and a capacity retention of 132%even after 6000 cycles at 10 A g^(-1).Our findings can facilitate the material design for boosting the performance of transition metal compounds based materials for fast energy storage.

Identification of methylation profile of HOX genes in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

AIM:To identify methylation profile and novel tumor marker of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)with high throughout ***:Differential methylation profile was compared between normal bile duct epithelial cell lines and CCA cell lines by methyl-DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP)***-polymerase chain reaction (BSP)was performed to identify the methylated allels of target *** of target genes was investigated before and after the treatment with DNA demethylating *** of candidate genes was also evaluated by immunofluorescence in 30 specimens of CCA tissues and 9 normal bile duct ***:Methylation profile of CCA was identified with MeDIP microarray in the respects of different gene functions and signaling ***,97 genes with hypermethylated CpG islands in the promoter region were homeobox *** top 5 hypermethylated homeobox genes validated by BSP were HOXA2(94.29%),HOXA5(95.38%),HOXA11 (91.67%),HOXB4(90.56%)and HOXD13(94.38%).Expression of these genes was reactivated with 5’-aza2’-*** expression differences were found between normal bile duct and extrahepatic CCA tissues(66.67%-100%vs 3.33%-10%).CONCLUSION:HOXA2,HOXA5,HOXA11,HOXB4 and HOXD13 may work as differential epigenetic biomarkers between malignant and benign biliary tissues.

Due to their enormous potential for large-scale energy storage,rechargeable potassium-ion batteries have been widely researched and ***,the drastic volume change of electrode materials induced by the huge size of potassium ions during cycling remains a challenge for the construction of stable ***,we propose a novel weak acid etching strategy to design and fabricate robust yolk-shell spheres with enough internal void space,in which the Bi_(2)O_(3) nanospheres are well confined in the compartments of TiO_(2) submicrospheres(y-Bi_(2)O_(3)@TiO_(2)).In situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and ex situ Xray diffraction(XRD)are conducted to elucidate the structural evolution of y-Bi_(2)O_(3)@TiO_(2) and the interaction between K^(+)and Bi_(2)O_(3) during *** to the yolk-shell nanoarchitecture and the superior buffering property of outer TiO_(2) covering,the as-obtained composite shows a high specific capacity of 383.5 mAh g^(−1) at 100 mA g^(−1),a considerable rate capacity of 134.1 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1) and a stable cycling performance of 216.8 mAh g^(−1) at 500 mA g^(−1) over 500 cycles when used for potassium ***,the potassium-ion full battery,constructed by pairing y-Bi_(2)O_(3)@TiO_(2) anode with the thermally annealed 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride(PTCDA)cathode,exhibits an outstanding cycling ***,this carefully-designed strategy can inspire the further development of superior energy storage materials in the near future.

DFT Study on Intermolecular Cleavage Reaction of N-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)-phthalamic Acid

The reaction mechanisms of intermolecular cleavage reaction of N-（2-hydroxyphenyl）-phthalamic acid were studied via the density functional theory（DFT）. All geometries of the reactant, transition states, and products were optimized at the B3LYP/6-31G（d, p） level. Vibration analysis was carried out to confirm its identity as transitions＇ structure, and the intrinsic reaction coordinate method（IRC） was used to search the minimum energy path. Two possible reaction channels are reported in this article. The calculated results indicate that O-cyclization reaction channel has the lower activation barrier, and therefore, it occurs more easier than the other.

Lanthanide-doped metal-organic frameworks with multicolor mechanoluminescence

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)and mechanoluminescent(ML)materials have been considered as two types of promising materials that have their own application *** would be amazing to endow one material with the advantages of ML and MOFs,thus broadening their ***,there are quite few investigations on this topic,and the ML mechanism in ML-MOFs remains *** this study,we proposed a strategy for developing ML-MOFs by doping lanthanide ions into the non-centrosymmetric SBD([Sr(μ-BDC)(DMF)]∞)MOF,and successfully synthesized a series of lanthanide-doped MOFs Ln-SBD(Ln=Tb,Dy,Sm,Eu)and Tb1-xEux-SBD(x=0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8)with multicolor *** lanthanide ions were uniformly distributed in the matrix of the SBD-MOF,and occupied the Sr *** MLMOFs exhibited intense multicolor ML emissions varying from green to yellow to red by changing the co-doping ratios and species of lanthanide *** similar ML and photoluminescence(PL)spectra indicated that the ML emission was assigned to the radiative transition from the excited states to the ground states of lanthanide *** radiative transition was induced by the electron bombardment process that originated from the piezoelectric effect of the non-centrosymmetric SBD *** addition,a pioneering temperature sensing research based on ML was carried out,which is promising for realizing dual-functional detection of stress and temperature without excitation light *** study gives a unique insight for developing more versatile and interesting smart materials by combining the versatility of MOF with the ML emission,imparting additional values to both MOF and ML ***,this study provides a general rule for selecting MOFs with an acentric structure as the host for ML materials.

Synergistic coupling of amorphous carbon and graphitic domains toward high-rate and long-life K^(+) storage

Amorphous carbon materials hold great potential for practical use in potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)due to their abundant resources,low cost and high structural ***,given the challenge of sluggish potassiation kinetics,the rate performance of amorphous carbon is severely ***,amorphous carbon compounded with graphitic domains(HG-CNTs)was proposed as an advanced anode for *** directly verified by in situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM),the graphitic domains guarantee fast K-ions transport in the carbon composite at a high current density,while the amorphous carbon shells ensure the structural integrity during potassiation,thus boosting its fast and durable K^(+)*** a PlB anode,the HG-CNTs electrode exhibits not only a super-stable long-term cyclability(191.6 mAh g^(-1)at 1 A g^(-1)with almost no capacity decay over 3000 cycles),but also an outstanding rate performance(184.5 mAh g^(-1)at 2 A g^(-1)).Ex situ Raman and TEM results further suggest that the highly reversible structure of HG-CNTs is responsible for its superior electrochemical *** work provides helpful insights into the development of carbonaceous electrodes with both high rate capability and long cycle life for PIBs.
