Local Torrential Rainfall Event within a Mei-Yu Season Mesoscale Convective System:Importance of Back-Building Processes

An extreme rainfall event occurred over Hangzhou,China,during the afternoon hours on 24 June *** event occurred under suitable synoptic conditions and the maximum 4-h cumulative rainfall amount was over 150 *** rainfall event had two major *** was caused by a quasi-stationary convective line,and the other by a backbuilding convective line related to the interaction of the outflow boundary from the first rainband and an existing low-level mesoscale convergence line associated with a mei-yu frontal *** rainfall event lasted 4 h,while the back-building process occurred in 2 h when the extreme rainfall center *** far,few studies have examined the back-building processes in the mei-yu season that are caused by the interaction of a mesoscale convergence line and a convective cold *** two rainbands are successfully reproduced by the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model with fourlevel,two-way interactive *** the model,new cells repeatedly occur at the west side of older cells,and the backbuilding process occurs in an environment with large CAPE,a low LFC,and plenty of water *** from older cells enhance the low-level convergence that forces new *** precipitation efficiency of the back-building training cells leads to accumulated precipitation of over 150 *** experiments without evaporation of rainwater show that the convective cold pool plays an important role in the organization of the back-building process in the current extreme precipitation case.

Dynamic simulation insights into friction weakening effect on rapid long-runout landslides:A case study of the Yigong landslide in the Tibetan Plateau,China

This study proposed a novel friction law dependent on velocity,displacement and normal stress for kinematic analysis of runout process of rapid *** well-known Yigong landslide occurring in the Tibetan Plateau of China was employed as the case,and the derived dynamic friction formula was included into the numerical simulation based on Particle Flow *** showed that the friction decreased quickly from 0.64(the peak)to 0.1(the stead value)during the 5s-period after the sliding initiation,which explained the behavior of rapid movement of the *** monitored balls set at different sections of the mass showed similar variation characteritics regarding the velocity,namely evident increase at the initial phase of the movement,followed by a fluctuation phase and then a stopping *** peak velocity was more than 100 m/s and most particles had low velocities at 300s after the landslide *** spreading distance of the landslide was calculated at the two-dimension(profile)and three-dimension scale,*** with the simulation result without considering friction weakening effect,our results indicated a max distance of about 10 km from the initial unstable position,which fit better with the actual situation.

Antioxidant and anti-HepG2 cell activities of a novel bioactive peptide from cowhide collagen in vitro

In the present study,the antioxidant and anti-human liver cancer(HepG2)cells effects of bioactive peptides from cowhide collagen(BPCC)were *** exhibited significant scavenging effect on l,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)radicals((60.09±3.51)%),2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS)radicals((77.40±3.10)%)and hydroxyl radicals((56.00±2.30)%)as well as strong reducing power(0.320士0.025).Meanwhile,BPCC effectively protected biomacromolecules including proteins,lipids and DNA from oxidative damage induced by Cu^(2+)H_(2)O_(2)and 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropionamidine)dihydrochloride(AAPH).Moreover,BPCC significantly inhibited cell viability of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner with an estimated IC_(50)of 7.61 mg/*** results of 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole(DAPI)and acridine:orange/ethidium bromide(AO/EB)staining demonstrated the apoptotic morphological changes and cell mediated death in BPCC treated HepG2 *** addition,BPCC induced decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)in HepG2 ***,the present finding proved that BPCC encompasses significant antioxidant activity and anticancer property on HepG2 cells and can be used as alternative food antioxidants for cancer prevention benefits.

Retinal vascular morphological characteristics in diabetic retinopathy: an artificial intelligence study using a transfer learning system to analyze ultra-wide field images

AIM:To investigate the morphological characteristics of retinal vessels in patients with different severity of diabetic retinopathy(DR)and in patients with or without diabetic macular edema(DME).METHODS:The 239 eyes of DR patients and 100 eyes of healthy individuals were recruited for the *** severity of DR patients was graded as mild,moderate and severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)according to the international clinical diabetic retinopathy(ICDR)disease severity scale classification,and retinal vascular morphology was quantitatively analyzed in ultra-wide field images using RU-net and transfer learning *** presence of DME was determined by optical coherence tomography(OCT),and differences in vascular morphological characteristics were compared between patients with and without ***:Retinal vessel segmentation using RU-net and transfer learning system had an accuracy of 99%and a Dice metric of *** with the healthy group,the DR group had smaller vessel angles(33.68±3.01 vs 37.78±1.60),smaller fractal dimension(Df)values(1.33±0.05 vs 1.41±0.03),less vessel density(1.12±0.44 vs 2.09±0.36)and fewer vascular branches(206.1±88.8 vs 396.5±91.3),all P<*** the severity of DR increased,Df values decreased,P=*** significant difference between the DME and non-DME groups were observed in vascular morphological ***:In this study,an artificial intelligence retinal vessel segmentation system is used with 99%accuracy,thus providing with relatively satisfactory performance in the evaluation of quantitative vascular *** patients have a tendency of vascular occlusion and *** presence of DME does not compromise the integral retinal vascular pattern.

自振荡凝胶是一类由自振荡反应驱动的高分子形变聚合物,其无需外界刺激就会自发地形成周期性的形变,广泛运用于仿生蠕动机器人的研究。自振荡凝胶的化学-力学耦合关系一直是研究的重点,本文基于Ru(bpy)3催化IPAAm(N-isopropylacrylamide)高分子凝胶的力学特征及BZ(Belousov-Zhabotinsky)反应的三维Oregonator模型构造自振荡凝胶的化学-力学耦合动态模型,并构建数值延拓算法分析自振荡凝胶周期性随反应参数和力学参数变化情况。通过本文构建的微分-代数方程组数值延拓方法,可以有效求解自振荡凝胶的极限环,为自振荡凝胶周期调控提供设计基础。
