Multi-Fidelity Simulation of Gas Turbine Overall Performance by Directly Coupling High-Fidelity Models of Multiple Rotating Components

Multi-fidelity simulations incorporate computational fluid dynamics(CFD) models into a thermodynamic model,enabling the simulation of the overall performance of an entire gas turbine with high-fidelity *** iterative coupled methods rely on characteristic maps,while fully coupled methods directly incorporate high-fidelity ***,fully coupled methods face challenges in simulating rotating components,including weak convergence and complex *** address these challenges,a fully coupled method with logarithmic transformations was developed to directly integrate high-fidelity CFD models of multiple rotating *** developed fully coupled method was then applied to evaluate the overall performance of a KJ66 micro gas turbine across various off-design *** developed fully coupled method was also compared with the traditional iterative coupled ***,experimental data from ground tests were conducted to verify its *** convergence history indicated that the proposed fully coupled method exhibited stable convergence,even under far-off-design *** experimental verification demonstrated that the multi-fidelity simulation with the fully coupled method achieved high accuracy in off-design *** analysis revealed inherent differences in the coupling methods of CFD models between the developed fully coupled and traditional iterative coupled *** inherent differences provide valuable insights for reducing errors between the component-level model and CFD models in different coupling *** developed fully coupled method,introducing logarithmic transformations,offers more realistic support for the detailed and optimal design of high-fidelity rotating components within the overall performance platform of gas turbines.

The large-scale multi-objective optimization algorithm(LSMOA),based on the grouping of decision variables,is an advanced method for handling high-dimensional decision ***,in practical problems,the interaction among decision variables is intricate,leading to large group sizes and suboptimal optimization effects;hence a large-scale multi-objective optimization algorithm based on weighted overlapping grouping of decision variables(MOEAWOD)is proposed in this ***,the decision variables are perturbed and categorized into convergence and diversity variables;subsequently,the convergence variables are subdivided into groups based on the interactions among different decision *** the size of a group surpasses the set threshold,that group undergoes a process of weighting and overlapping ***,the interaction strength is evaluated based on the interaction frequency and number of objectives among various decision *** decision variable with the highest interaction in the group is identified and disregarded,and the remaining variables are then reclassified into ***,the decision variable with the strongest interaction is added to each *** minimizes the interactivity between different groups and maximizes the interactivity of decision variables within groups,which contributed to the optimized direction of convergence and diversity exploration with different *** was subjected to testing on 18 benchmark large-scale optimization problems,and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our *** with the other algorithms,our method is still at an advantage.

Biopolymers,the potential flexoelectric materials,are environment-friendly,degradable,lightweight,cost-effective,and possess remarkable processing properties catering to the requirements of advanced ***,the flexoelectric coefficient of biopolymers is normally much weaker than that of ceramic materials,limiting their potential applications for designing high-performance green electromechanical coupling *** improve the flexoelectric response in biopolymers,we composited barium titanate(BTO)with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl-oxidized cellulose nanofibrils(TOCNF)to enhance the flexoelectric response of *** to the high permittivity and flexoelectric effect of BTO,the relative dielectric constant and flexoelectric coefficient of 33.3 wt%BTO-TOCNF films reached 30.94@1 kHz and 50.05±1.88 nC/m@1 Hz,which were almost 172 times and 27 times higher than those of TOCNF,*** composite thin film contains high dielectric constant and flexoelectric coefficient,as well as excellent *** study provided a straightforward and efficient method for improving the flexoelectric effect of biopolymers,and demonstrated its great potential applications in flexoelectric-based devices.

Gravitational wave(GW) astronomy is witnessing a transformative shift from terrestrial to space-based detection, with missions like Taiji at the forefront. While the transition brings unprecedented opportunities for exploring massive black hole binaries(MBHBs), it also imposes complex challenges in data analysis, particularly in parameter estimation amidst confusion *** this gap, we utilize scalable normalizing flow models to achieve rapid and accurate inference within the Taiji environment. Innovatively, our approach simplifies the data's complexity, employs a transformation mapping to overcome the year-period time-dependent response function, and unveils additional multimodality in the arrival time parameter. Our method estimates MBHBs several orders of magnitude faster than conventional techniques, maintaining high accuracy even in complex backgrounds. These findings significantly enhance the efficiency of GW data analysis, paving the way for rapid detection and alerting systems and enriching our ability to explore the universe through space-based GW observation.
