Brain Cognition Mechanism-Inspired Hierarchical Navigation Method for Mobile Robots

Autonomous navigation is a fundamental problem in *** methods generally build point cloud map or dense feature map in perceptual space;due to lack of cognition and memory formation mechanism,traditional methods exist poor robustness and low cognitive *** a new navigation technology that draws inspiration from mammal’s navigation,bionic navigation method can map perceptual information into cognitive space,and have strong autonomy and environment *** improve the robot’s autonomous navigation ability,this paper proposes a cognitive map-based hierarchical navigation ***,the mammals’navigation-related grid cells and head direction cells are modeled to provide the robots with location *** then a global path planning strategy based on cognitive map is proposed,which can anticipate one preferred global path to the target with high efficiency and short ***,a hierarchical motion controlling method is proposed,with which the target navigation can be divided into several sub-target navigation,and the mobile robot can reach to these sub-targets with high confidence ***,some experiments are implemented,the results show that the proposed path planning method can avoid passing through obstacles and obtain one preferred global path to the target with high efficiency,and the time cost does not increase extremely with the increase of experience nodes *** motion controlling results show that the mobile robot can arrive at the target successfully only depending on its self-motion information,which is an effective attempt and reflects strong bionic properties.

An analytical solution(ANA)for a fractional-slot double-layer-winding open-slot vernier permanent magnet(VPM)machine with tooth tips is *** vector potential equations are analytically solved using the technique of variable separation in four subdomains in a two-dimensional polar coordinate *** on the solved magnetic vector potential,the flux density distribution,torque,flux linkage,inductance,electromotive force(EMF)and power factor are analytically *** 18-slot/32-rotor-pole prototype is analyzed,and the results match well with the finite element analysis(FEA),which validates that the ANA consumes less time than ***,the tooth tips are optimized using the ANA to improve the average ***,the ANA can be used to evaluate the demagnetization withstand capabilities of permanent *** material utilization,slot-filling factor,EMF,and torque are compared between the models with three and four ***,an experimental prototype is constructed and tested,and the results validate the ANA.

The ever-increasing demand for training and inferring with larger machine-learning models requires more efficient hardware solutions due to limitations such as power dissipation and *** is a promising contender for providing lower power computation,since light propagation through a nonabsorbing medium is a lossless ***,to carry out useful and efficient computations with light,generating and controlling nonlinearity optically is a necessity that is still *** fibers(MMFs)have been shown that they can provide nonlinear effects with microwatts of average power while maintaining parallelism and low *** propose an optical neural network architecture that performs nonlinear optical computation by controlling the propagation of ultrashort pulses in MMF by wavefront *** a surrogate model,optimal sets of parameters are found to program this optical computer for different tasks with minimal utilization of an electronic *** show a remarkable decrease of 97%in the number of model parameters,which leads to an overall 99%digital operation reduction compared to an equivalently performing digital neural *** further demonstrate that a fully optical implementation can also be performed with competitive accuracies.

Evolution of High-energy Electron Distribution in Pulsar Wind Nebulae

In this paper,we analyze the spectral energy distributions of 17 powerful (with a spin-down luminosity greater than1035erg s-1) young （with an age less than 15,000 yr） pulsar wind nebulae （PWNe） using a simple timein-dependent one-zone emission *** aim is to investigate correlations between model parameters and the ages of the corresponding PWNe,thereby revealing the evolution of high-energy electron distributions within *** findings are as follows:（1） The electron distributions in PWNe can be characterized by a double power-law with a super-exponential cutoff.（2） As PWNe evolve,the high-energy end of the electron distribution spectrum becomes harder with the index decreasing from approximately 3.5 to 2.5,while the low-energy end spectrum index remains constant near 1.5.（3） There is no apparent correlation between the break energy or cutoff energy and the age of PWNe.（4） The average magnetic field within PWNe decreases with age,leading to a positive correlation between the energy loss timescale of electrons at the break energy or the high-energy cutoff and the age of the PWN.（5） The total electron energy within PWNe remains constant near 2×1048erg,while the total magnetic energy decreases with age.

Spatiotemporal Prediction of Urban Traffics Based on Deep GNN

Traffic prediction already plays a significant role in applications like traffic planning and urban management,but it is still difficult to capture the highly non-linear and complicated spatiotemporal correlations of traffic *** well as to fulfil both long-termand short-termprediction objectives,a better representation of the temporal dependency and global spatial correlation of traffic data is *** order to do this,the Spatiotemporal Graph Neural Network(S-GNN)is proposed in this research as amethod for traffic *** S-GNN simultaneously accepts various traffic data as inputs and investigates the non-linear correlations between the *** terms of modelling,the road network is initially represented as a spatiotemporal directed graph,with the features of the samples at the time step being captured by a convolution *** order to assign varying attention weights to various adjacent area nodes of the target node,the adjacent areas information of nodes in the road network is then aggregated using a graph *** data is output using a fully connected layer at the *** findings show that S-GNN can improve short-and long-term traffic prediction accuracy to a greater extent;in comparison to the control model,the RMSE of S-GNN is reduced by about 0.571 to 9.288 and the MAE(Mean Absolute Error)by about 0.314 to *** experimental results on two real datasets,Pe MSD7(M)and PEMS-BAY,also support this claim.

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of silicone oil(SO)as a corneal lubricant to improve visualization during ***:Patients who underwent vitreoretinal surgery were divided into two *** 1 was operated on with initial SO(Oxane 5700)as a corneal *** 2 was operated on with initial lactated ringer’s solution(LRS)and then replaced with SO as *** clarity was scored during the *** staining was performed to determine the damage to corneal ***:Totally 114 eyes of 114 patients were *** SO use maintained a clear cornea and provided excellent visualization of surgical *** group 1,the fundus clarity was grade 3 in 41/45 eyes and grade 2 in 4/45 *** group 2,corneal edema frequently occurred after initial LRS *** fundus clarity was grade 3 in 19/69 eyes,2 in 37/69 eyes and 1 in 13/69 eyes(P0.05).CONCLUSION:The use of SO as a corneal lubricant is effective and safe for preserving and improving corneal clarity and providing clear surgical field during vitrectomy.

Lactose-free milk powder can effectively relieve diarrhea symptoms in weaning SD rats and children

Diarrhea has become the leading cause of illness and death among infants and young children in developing ***,patients with diarrhea showed damaged intestinal epithelial villi,usually accompanied by lactase *** this study,we evaluated the therapeutic effects of lactose-free milk powder on rats and children with ***-associated diarrhea(AAD)model was established by gavage with antibiotic mixture in SD rats,followed by administration of milk powder containing lactose or *** results showed that lactose-free milk powder ameliorated A AD-related diarrhea symptoms,and accelerated the recovery from *** 16S sequencing results indicated lactose-free milk powder contributed to increase theα-andβ-diversity of intestinal flora,and restore the intestinal microbiota *** conclusion,our data demonstrate that lactose-free milk powder could alleviate diarrhea by restoring gut microbiota and intestinal barrier function.
