FIMI： A Constant Frugal Incentive Mechanism for Time WindowCoverage in Mobile Crowdsensing

Mobile crowdsensing has become an efficient paradigm for performing large-scale sensing tasks. An incentive mechanism is important for a mobile crowdsensing system to stimulate participants and to achieve good service quality. In this paper, we explore truthful incentive mechanisms that focus on minimizing the total payment for a novel scenario, where the platform needs the complete sensing data in a requested time window (RTW). We model this scenario as a reverse auction and design FIMI, a constant frugal incentive mechanism for time window coverage. FIMI consists of two phases, the candidate selection phase and the winner selection phase. In the candidate selection phase, it selects two most competitive disjoint feasible user sets. Afterwards, in the winner selection phase, it finds all the interchangeable user sets through a graph-theoretic approach. For every pair of such user sets, FIMI chooses one of them by the weighted cost. Further, we extend FIMI to the scenario where the RTW needs to be covered more than once. Through both rigorous theoretical analysis and extensive simulations, we demonstrate that the proposed mechanisms achieve the properties of RTW feasibility (or RTW multi-coverage), computation efficiency, individual rationality, truthfulness, and constant frugality.

Beneficial effects of antidepressant mirtazapine in functional dyspepsia patients with weight loss

AIM: To explore the effects and mechanism of action of antidepressant mirtazapine in functional dyspepsia(FD) patients with weight ***: Sixty depressive FD patients with weight loss were randomly divided into a mirtazapine group(MG), a paroxetine group(PG) or a conventional therapy group(CG) for an 8-wk clinical trial. Adverse effects and treatment response were recorded. The Nepean Dyspepsia Index-symptom(NDSI) checklist and the 17-item Hamilton Rating Scale of Depression(HAMD-17) were used to evaluate dyspepsia and depressive symptoms, respectively. The body composition analyzer was used to measure body weight and fat. Serum hormone levels were measured by ***:(1) After 2 wk of treatment, NDSI scores were significantly lower for the MG than for the PG and CG;(2) After 4 or 8 wk of treatment, HAMD-17 scores were significantly lower for the MG and PG than for the CG;(3) After 8 wk of treatment, patients in the MG experienced a weight gain of 3.58 ± 1.57 kg, which was significantly higher than that observed for patients in the PG and CG. Body fat increased by 2.77 ± 0.14kg, the body fat ratio rose by 4%, and the visceral fat area increased by 7.56 ± 2.25 cm2; and(4) For the MG, serum hormone levels of ghrelin, neuropeptide Y(NPY), motilin(MTL) and gastrin(GAS) were significantly upregulated; in contrast, those of leptin, 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) and cholecystokinin(CCK) were significantly downregulated. CONCLUSION: Mirtazapine not only alleviates symptoms associated with dyspepsia and depression linked to FD in patients with weight loss but also significantly increases body weight(mainly the visceral fat in body fat). The likely mechanism of mirtazapine action is regulation of brain-gut or gastrointestinal hormone levels.

Ectopic seminal tract openi ng is a rare con genital *** rece ntly,there has been a lack of comprehensive reporting on the *** purpose of this retrospective study is to summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment of this condition based on 28 clinical practice cases throughout the past 30 *** conducted auxiliary examinations on such patients including routine tests,imaging examinations,and *** these 28 cases,there were ectopic opening of vas deferens into enlarged prostatic utricles(6 cases);ejaculatory ducts into enlarged prostatic utricles,Mullerian ducts cysts,and urethras(18 cases,2 cases,and 1 case,respectively);and ectopic opening of the unilateral vas deferens and the contralateral ejaculatory duct into enlarged prostatic utricle(1 case).The size of the enlarged prostatic utricle,the type of ectopic seminal tract opening,and the opening's location effectively assisted in the selection of clinical treatment methods,including transurethral fenestration of the utricle,transurethral cold-knife incision,open operation,laparoscopic operation,and conservative *** effect was achieved during *** conclusion,a definite diagnosis and personalized treatment are especially important for patients with ectopic seminal tract opening.

Data-driven short circuit resistance estimation in battery safety issues

Developing precise and fast methods for short circuit detection is crucial for preventing or mitigating the risk of safety issues of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).In this paper,we developed a Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)based model that can quickly and precisely predict the short circuit resistance of LIB cells during various working *** tests of cells with an external short circuit(ESC)are produced to obtain the database and generate the training/testing *** samples are sequences of voltage,current,charging capacity,charging energy,total charging capacity,total charging energy with a length of 120 s and frequency of 1 Hz,and their corresponding short circuit resistances.A big database with~6×10^(5)samples are generated,covering various short circuit resistances(47~470Ω),current loading modes(Constant current-constant voltage(CC-CV)and drive cycle),and electrochemical states(cycle numbers from 1 to 300).Results show that the average relative absolute error of five random sample splits is 6.75%±2.8%.Further parametric analysis indicates the accuracy estimation benefits from the appropriate model setups:the optimized input sequence length(~120 s),feature selection(at least one total capacity-related variable),and rational model design,using multiple layers with different kernel *** work highlights the capabilities of machine learning algorithms and data-driven methodologies in real-time safety risk prediction for batteries.
