Integrating machine learning and CALPHAD method for exploring low-modulus near-β-Ti alloys

Traditional theoretical and empirical calculation methods can guide the design of β-and metastable β-alloys for bio-titanium. However, it is still difficult to obtain novel near-β-Ti alloys with low modulus. This study developed a method that combines machine learning with calculation of phase diagrams(CALPHAD) to facilitate the design of near-β-Ti alloys. An elastic modulus database of Ti–Nb–Zr–Mo–Ta–Sn system was constructed first, and then three features(the electron to atom ratio, mean absolute deviation of atom mass, and mean electronegativity) were selected as the key factors of modulus by performing a three-step feature selection. With these features, a highly accurate model was built for predicting the modulus of near-β-Ti alloys. To further ensure the accuracy of modulus prediction, machine learning with the elastic constants calculated was leveraged by CALPHAD database. The root mean square error of the well-trained model can be as low as 6.75 GPa. Guided by the prediction of machine learning and CALPHAD, three novel near-β-Ti alloys with elastic modulus below 50 GPa were successfully designed in this study. The best candidate alloy(Ti–26Nb–4Zr–4Sn–1Mo–Ta) exhibits an ultra-low modulus(36.6 GPa) after cold rolling with a thickness reduction of 20%. Our method can greatly save time and resources in the development of novel Ti alloys, and experimental verifications have demonstrated the reliability of this method.

As a serious cardiovascular disease,atherosclerosis(AS)causes chronic inflammation and oxidative stress in the body and poses a threat to human ***-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)is a member of the phospholipase A2(PLA2)family,and its elevated levels have been shown to contribute to ***-PLA2 is closely related to a variety of lipoproteins,and its role in promoting inflammatory responses and oxidative stress in AS is mainly achieved by hydrolyzing oxidized phosphatidylcholine(ox PC)to produce lysophosphatidylcholine(lyso PC).Moreover,macrophage apoptosis within plaque is promoted by localized Lp-PLA2 which also promotes plaque *** paper reviews those researches of Chinese medicine in treating AS via reducing Lp-PLA2 levels to guide future experimental studies and clinical applications related to AS.

Cu-rich cell boundary phase is difficult to precipitate evenly,resulting in a generally poor demagnetization curve squareness for Fe-rich Sm_(2)Co_(17)-type magnet,which is a key factor limiting the further improvement of magnetic energy *** this study,we report that nanoscale strip-like ordered micro-domains distributed in1:7H disordered matrix phase of the solid solution precursor is a new factor significantly affecting the precipitation and distribution of the cell boundary *** strip-like and continuous micro-twin structure with twin boundaries neatly perpendicular to the C-axis is observed after sintering *** solution treatment,sequential and long strip-like micro-twins gradually transform into disordered state along the basal plane,forming narrow disordered 1:7H(TbCu_(7)-type structure)phase between the separated strip-like ordered *** disordering transformation takes place via broken down of the long strip-like ordered micro-domains,which is accomplished by narrowing along the width direction followed by reduction of the ***,a new model revealing the effect of the ordered micro-domains on the formation of the cell boundary phase is *** boundaries enriched in Cu have already existed in the precursor with long strip-like ordered ***,the Cu-rich cell boundary phase acting as strong pinning centers cannot be precipitated homogeneously and distributed continuously after aging,resulting in a poor demagnetization curve squareness of Sm_(2)Co_(17)-type *** results indicate that significant broken down of the nanoscale ordered micro-domains in solution precursor is the key factor improving the distribution of cell boundary phase in Sm_(2)Co_(17)-type magnets.

BACKGROUND The efficacy of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)in treating liver fibrosis has been demonstrated in several clinical ***,their low survival and liver implantation rates remain *** recent years,a large number of studies in animal models of liver fibrosis have shown that MSCs combined with drugs can improve the efficacy of MSCs in the treatment of liver fibrosis alone and inhibit its progression to end-stage liver *** has inspired new ways of thinking about treating liver *** To investigate the effectiveness and mechanisms of MSCs combined with drugs in treating liver *** Data sources included four electronic databases and were constructed until January *** subjects,interventions,comparators,outcomes,and study design principle were used to screen the literature,and the quality of the literature was evaluated to assess the risk of *** randomised controlled trials were selected,and the final 13 studies were included in the final *** A total of 13 studies were included after *** analysis showed that MSCs combined with drug therapy significantly improved liver function,promoted the repair of damaged liver tissues,reduced the level of liver fibrosis-related indexes,and effectively ameliorated hepatic fibrosis by modulating the hepatic inflammatory microenvironment,promoting the homing of MSCs,and regulating the relevant signaling pathways,and the treatment efficacy was superior to MSCs ***,the combined treatment statistics showed no amelioration in serum albumin levels(standardized mean difference=0.77,95%confidence interval:-0.13 to 1.68,P=0.09).CONCluSION In conclusion,MSCs combined with drugs for treating liver fibrosis effectively make up for the shortcomings of MSCs in their therapeutic ***,due to the different drugs,the treatment mechanism and effect also ***,more randomized controlled trials are needed to compare the therapeutic effic

Construction and evaluation of a liver cancer risk prediction model based on machine learning
