Semiconducting conjugated polymer nanoparticles(SPNs)represent an emerging class of phototheranostic materi-als with great promise for cancer *** this report,low-bandgap electron donoracceptor(DA)-conjugated SPNs with sur-face cloaked by red blood cell membrane(RBCM)are developed for highly e ective photoacoustic imaging and photothermal *** resulting RBCM-coated SPN(SPN@RBCM)displays remarkable near-infrared light absorption and good photosta-bility,as well as high photothermal conver-sion e ciency for photoacoustic imaging and photothermal ***,due to the small size(<5 nm),SPN@RBCM has the advantages of deep tumor penetration and rapid clearance from the body with no appreciable *** RBCM endows the SPNs with prolonged systematic circulation time,less reticuloendothelial system uptake and reduced immune-recognition,hence improving tumor accumulation after intravenous injection,which provides strong photoacoustic signals and exerts excellent photothermal therapeutic e ***,this work provides a valuable paradigm for safe and highly e cient tumor pho-toacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy for further clinical translation.

A comparison of deep learning methods for seismic impedance inversion

Deep learning is widely used for seismic impedance inversion,but few work provides in-depth research and analysis on designing the architectures of deep neural networks and choosing the network *** paper is dedicated to comprehensively studying on the significant aspects of deep neural networks that affect the inversion *** experimentally reveal how network hyperparameters and architectures affect the inversion performance,and develop a series of methods which are proven to be effective in reconstructing high-frequency information in the estimated impedance *** demonstrate that the proposed multi-scale architecture is helpful to reconstruct more high-frequency details than a conventional ***,the reconstruction of high-frequency information can be further promoted by introducing a perceptual loss and a generative adversarial network from the computer vision *** importantly,the experimental results provide valuable references for designing proper network architectures in the seismic inversion problem.

Initiation and propagation of localized corrosion induced by(Zr,Ti,Al)-O_(x) inclusions in low-alloy steels in marine environment

The effects of inclusions on localized corrosion of Zr–Ti deoxidized low-alloy steels in marine environment were investigated by various analytical techniques including scanning electron microscopy with X-ray microanalysis(SEM/EDS),confocal Raman microscopy(CRM),and in situ scanning vibrating electrode technique(SVET).It was found that complex(Zr,Ti,Al)-O_(x)inclusions were responsible for the initiation of localized *** corrosion pref-erentially occurred at Fe matrix adjacent to these inclusions and formed *** the early stage of corrosion,catalytic-occluded cells and the diffusion of chloride ions played a major role in the propagation of corrosion,further accelerating the dissolution of Fe matrix and(Zr,Ti,Al)-O_(x)*** SVET and CRM results,it revealed that the maximum anodic current density in local area gradually decreased with prolonged exposure time,indicating that corrosion products covered the steel surface and lowered the propagation rate of *** the later stage of corrosion,the barrier effect of corrosion products played an important role in inhibiting localized corrosion.

Baicalin Antagonizes Prostate Cancer Stemness via Inhibiting Notch1/NF-κB Signaling Pathway

Objective To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the effect of baicalin on prostate cancer(PCa)progression both in vivo and in *** The in situ PCa stem cells(PCSCs)-injected xenograft tumor models were established in BALB/c nude *** volume and weight were respectively checked after baicalin(100 mg/kg)***-eosin(HE)staining was used to observe the growth arrest and cell *** expression levels of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase 1(ALDH1),CD44,CD133 and Notch1 were determined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain *** expression levels of ALDH1,CD44,CD133,Notch1,nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)P65 and NF-κB p-P65 were detected by Western *** and subcellular location of ALDH1,CD44,CD133,Notch1 and NF-κB p65 were detected by immunofluorescence *** vitro,cell cycle distribution and cell apoptosis of PC3 PCSCs was assessed by flow cytometry after baicalin(125µmol/L)*** migration and invasion abilities of PCSCs were assessed using Transwell *** electron microscopy scanning was utilized to observe the structure and autophagosome formation of baicalin-treated *** addition,PCSCs were infected with lentiviruses expressing human *** Compared with the control group,the tumor volume and weight were notably reduced in mice treated with 100 mg/kg baicalin(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Histopathological analysis showed that baicalin treatment significantly inhibited cell proliferation and promoted cell ***,baicalin treatment reduced mRNA and protein expression levels of CD44,CD133,ALDH1,and Notch1 as well as the protein expression of NF-κB p-P65 in the xenograft tumor(P<0.01).In vitro,the cell proliferation of PCSCs was significantly attenuated after treatment with 125µmol/L baicalin for 72 h(P<0.01).The cell migration and invasion rates were decreased following treatment with baicalin for 48 and 72 h(P<0.01).Baicalin notably induced cell apoptosis and seriously

Manipulating vortices in F=2 Bose-Einstein condensates through magnetic field and spin-orbit coupling

We investigate the vortex structures excited by Ioffe-Pritchard magnetic field and Dresselhaus-type spin-orbit coupling in F=2 ferromagnetic Bose-Einstein *** the weakly interatomic interacting regime,an external magnetic field can generate a polar-core vortex in which the canonical particle current is *** the combined effect of spin-orbit coupling and magnetic field,the ground state experiences a transition from polar-core vortex to Mermin-Ho vortex,in which the canonical particle current is *** fixed spin-orbit coupling strengths,the evolution of phase winding,magnetization,and degree of phase separation with magnetic field are ***,with further increasing spin-orbit coupling strength,the condensate exhibits symmetrical density domains separated by radial vortex *** work paves the way to explore exotic topological excitations in high-spin systems.

Unmanned Ship Identification Based on Improved YOLOv8s Algorithm

Aiming at defects such as low contrast in infrared ship images,uneven distribution of ship size,and lack of texture details,which will lead to unmanned ship leakage misdetection and slow detection,this paper proposes an infrared ship detection model based on the improved YOLOv8 algorithm(R_YOLO).The algorithm incorporates the Efficient Multi-Scale Attention mechanism(EMA),the efficient Reparameterized Generalized-feature extraction module(CSPStage),the small target detection header,the Repulsion Loss function,and the context aggregation block(CABlock),which are designed to improve the model’s ability to detect targets at multiple scales and the speed of model *** algorithm is validated in detail on two vessel *** comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that,in the infrared dataset,the YOLOv8s algorithm exhibits improvements in various performance ***,compared to the baseline algorithm,there is a 3.1%increase in mean average precision at a threshold of 0.5(mAP(0.5)),a 5.4%increase in recall rate,and a 2.2%increase in mAP(0.5:0.95).Simultaneously,while less than 5 times parameters,the mAP(0.5)and frames per second(FPS)exhibit an increase of 1.7%and more than 3 times,respectively,compared to the CAA_YOLO ***,the evaluation indexes on the visible light data set have shown an average improvement of 4.5%.

Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Two 3D Zinc(II) Compounds Involving Coordination and Hydrogen Bonds

Two zinc（Ⅱ） compounds, [Zn（L）（H2O）2]n 1 and [Zn（4,4＇-bpy）（H2O）4]（L） 2 （H2L = trans,trans-1,3 butadiene 1,4-dicarboxylic acid）, were synthesized by hydrothermal methods and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound 1 crystallizes in monoclinic, space group C2/c with a=15.4970（16）, b = 5.4976（6）, c = 10.7113（12） A, β=96.298（6）°, C6H8O6Zn, Mr = 241.50, V = 907.06（17） A^3, Z = 4, D, = 1.768 g/cm^3, F（000） = 488,μ = 2.703 mm^-1, S = 1.060, the final R = 0.0256 and wR = 0.0660 for 968 observed reflections with Ⅰ 〉 2σ（Ⅰ）. Compound 2 crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1^- with a = 6.915（2）, b = 7.166（2）, c = 10.363（3） A, α = 73.250（4）, β = 84.429（4）, γ = 61.605（3）°, C16H2ON2O8Zn, Mr = 433.70, V = 432.1 （2） A^3, Z = 1, D, = 1.667 g/cm^3, F（000） = 224 and μ= 1.471 mm^-1, S = 1.118, the final R = 0.0486 and wR = 0.1077 for 1352 observed reflections with Ⅰ〉 2σ（Ⅰ）. Upon using the assembly strategy of combination of coordination polymer chains with intermolecular hydrogen bonds, three-dimensional frameworks of complexes 1 and 2 were formed.

Development and Validation of a Model for Predicting Diabetic Nephropathy in Chinese People

Objective To develop a risk model for predicting later development of diabetic nephropathy （DN） in Chinese people with type 2 diabetes mellitus （T2DM） and evaluate its performance with independent validation. Methods We used data collected from the project ＇Comprehensive Research on the Prevention and Control of Diabetes＇, which was a community-based study conducted by the Jiangsu Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2013. A total of 11,771 eligible participants were included in our study. The endpoint was a clear diagnosis of DN. Data was divided into two components： a training set for model development and a test set for validation. The Cox proportional hazard regression was used for survival analysis in men and women. The model＇s performance was evaluated by discrimination and calibration. Results The incidence （cases per 10,000 person-years） of DN was 9.95 （95% CI; 8.66-11.43） in women and 11.28 （95% CI; 9.77-13.03） in men. Factors including diagnosis age, location, body mass index, high-density-lipoprotein cholesterol, creatinine, hypertension, dyslipidemia, retinopathy, diet control, and physical activity were significant in the final model. The model showed high discrimination and good calibration. Conclusion The risk model for predicting DN in people with T2DM can be used in clinical practice for improving the quality of risk management and intervention.

Efficient synthesis of 5,6-dihydrothieno[3′,2′:4,5]-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones via an iminophosphorane

5,6-Dihydrothieno[3＇,2＇：4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4（3H）-ones 6 were synthesized in yields of 71-87% by a consecutive method, which includes aza-Wittig reaction of iminophosphorane 3 with aromatic isocynate to give carbodiimide 4 and subsequent reaction of 4 with various amines, phenols or alcohols in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium ethoxide or solid potassium carbonate. 2009 ming wu Ding.
