Context: kidney transplantation is today the standard treatment for patients suffering from chronic end-stage renal failure. Living kidney donation offers many advantages for the recipient, but requires a subject without comorbidities to undergo surgery. The aim of this study was to assess the quality of life and psychosocial experience of living kidney donors after donation. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with an analytical aim, involving living kidney donors during the period from January 2016 to April 2019 at CHUGA. (University Hospital Center of Grenoble Alpes in France). Results: Our study shows that out of 88 donors, 70 responded to our questionnaires, representing a prevalence of 80.5%. The average age of our donors was 55.6 years with a female predominance. Seven out of eight domains of the SF36 score had a good quality of life after donation and the donation did not alter their psychosocial experience. The majority of our donors expressed their pride and enthusiasm, did not regret having saved a life, and this experience was considered positive. Conclusion: kidney donation does not have a negative impact on quality of life and psychosocial life. The majority of donors do not regret their donation. The dissemination of such results could make it possible to increase the number of kidney transplants from living donors in France, especially in our African countries where the management of ESRD remains a real public health problem.

Muscovite nanoparticles mitigate neuropathic pain by modulating the inflammatory response and neuroglial activation in the spinal cord

Despite numerous efforts to overcome neuropathic pain,various pharmacological drugs often fail to meet the needs and have many side *** is an aluminosilicate mineral that has been reported to have an anti-inflammatory effect,but the efficacy of muscovite for neuropathic pain has not been ***,we assessed whether muscovite nanoparticles can reduce the symptoms of pain by controlling the inflammatory process observed in neuropathic *** analgesic effects of muscovite nanoparticles were explored using partial sciatic nerve ligation model of neuropathic pain,in which one-third to onehalf of the nerve trifurcation of the sciatic nerve was tightly tied to the dorsal *** nanoparticles(4 mg/100μL)was given intramuscularly to evaluate its effects on neuropathic pain(3 days per week for 4 weeks).The results showed that the muscovite nanoparticle injections significantly alleviated partial sciatic nerve ligation-induced mechanical and cold *** the spinal cord,the muscovite nanoparticle injections exhibited inhibitory effects on astrocyte and microglia activation and reduced the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines,such as interleukin-1β,tumor necrosis factor-α,interleiukin-6 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,which were upregulated in the partial sciatic nerve ligation ***,the muscovite nanoparticle injections resulted in a decrease in activating transcription factor 3,a neuronal injury marker,in the sciatic *** results suggest that the analgesic effects of muscovite nanoparticle on partial sciatic nerve ligation-induced neuropathic pain may result from inhibiting activation of astrocytes and microglia as well as pro-inflammatory *** propose that muscovite nanoparticle is a potential anti-nociceptive candidate for neuropathic *** experimental protocols in this study were approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee(IACUC)at Dongguk University,South korea(approval No.2017-022-1)

CT Thresholds for Spinal Bone Mineral Attenuation to Prioritize Eligible Older Women for Osteoporosis Screening

Introduction: Computed tomography (CT) measurements of bone mineral attenuation may be a useful means to identify older women who should be prioritized for bone mineral density screening. Methods: We compared bone mineral attenuation as measured in the L1 vertebra of CT studies to the results of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) studies to determine what CT attenuation thresholds might yield a reasonable combination of sensitivity and specificity for the detection of osteoporosis. The study was limited to women between the ages of 65 and 75 years who had a DEXA study and a CT that included the L1 or adjacent vertebra performed within 3 years of the DEXA study. Results: There were 1226 women in this study, of whom 452 (38%) had osteoporosis based on a T-score ≤ −2.5 by DEXA. There were 830 CT studies performed with contrast and 396 studies which were performed without contrast. There was a statistically significant difference in the mean HU of those studies performed without contrast compared to those with contrast (unenhanced mean 103 HU versus 125 HU, p < 0.001). Different CT attenuation thresholds provided the most appropriate combination of sensitivity and specificity for the detection of osteoporosis when comparing CT studies performed without or with IV contrast and when all the CT data were used in aggregate. Conclusion: Different thresholds appear necessary when using the mean CT vertebral attenuation to identify older women for preferential referral for DEXA studies.

目的基于动物实验和网络药理学初步探讨消瘰丸加党参治疗甲状腺肿的作用机制。方法(1)通过TCMSP数据库筛选出消瘰丸加党参的活性成分及其可能的作用靶点;通过GeneCards数据库检索甲状腺肿(Goiter,GR)疾病的相关靶点;将上述靶点导入Venny 2.1.0中对消瘰丸加党参活性成分的作用靶点与GR的疾病靶点取交集,获得消瘰丸加党参治疗GR的交集靶点;采用Cytoscape 3.8.0构建消瘰丸加党参治疗GR的“消瘰丸加党参-活性成分-交集靶点”网络,分析其关键活性成分;将交集靶点导入STRING数据库,构建蛋白-蛋白互作网络图,筛选出核心靶点;借助R包对其进行GO功能及kEGG富集分析,最后采用PyMol软件展示最佳活性成分与所有靶点之间的结合构像。(2)通过动物实验验证预测结果。购买34只6~8周龄雄性SPF级Wistar大鼠,其中8只作为正常组,其余大鼠灌服丙基硫氧嘧啶(Propylthiouracil,PTU)溶液诱导GR大鼠模型,造模成功后随机分为模型组、阳性药组、消瘰丸组、党参组,每组各6只。正常对照组坚持每日进行普通喂养并给予等量蒸馏水灌胃,模型组完成造模后同样给予等量蒸馏水灌胃,阳性药组给予优甲乐溶液灌服,消瘰丸组给予消瘰丸溶液灌服,消瘰丸加党参组给予消瘰丸加党参灌服。干预6周后采用异氟烷吸入麻醉后处死,观察大鼠病理组织、酶联免疫吸附测定法(ELISA)检测三碘甲腺原氨酸(T3)、四碘甲腺原氨酸(T4)、促甲状腺素(Thyroid stimulating hormone,TSH)水平、蛋白免疫印迹法(Western blot,WB)检测磷脂酰肌醇3-激酶(Phosphoinositide 3-kinase,PI3k)、蛋白激酶B(Protein kinase B,Akt)、B细胞淋巴瘤-2(B-cell lymphoma-2,Bcl-2)蛋白表达量。结果(1)筛选出消瘰丸加党参相关有效成分42个,消瘰丸加党参-GR交集靶点96个;kEGG富集分析显示涉及消瘰丸加党参可能通过Akt/PI3k信号通路、细胞凋亡等发挥作用。(2)动物实验数据表明,阳性药组、消瘰丸组、党参组大鼠甲状腺组织滤泡肿胀减少,周围增生减少,间质充血较少,内部乳头状结构减少,其中以党参组甲状腺滤泡、甲状腺上皮细胞恢复最为明显。与正常组比较,模型组TSH水平、PI3k、Akt、Bcl-2蛋白表达量明显升高,差异有统计学意义(Pk、Bcl-2蛋白表达量明显降低,差异有统计学意义(Pk/Akt信号通路,发挥治疗GR的作用。

Parasitic Risks Due to Excrements from Pigs Bred in Some Villages of Vavoua, a Tropical Area Located in the Center-Western of Cote D’Ivoire

Parasitic infestation remains a public health problem in Côte d’Ivoire. The general objective of this study is the parasitological characterization of pigs in breeding in Vavoua. The study allowed us to identify seven (7) species of parasites with a zoonotic effect: Ascaris lumbricoides, Taenia soluim, Cryptosporidium parvum, and Giardia intestinalis, and the specific species are Fasciola hepatica Toxocara canis and Echinicocus granulosus. The prevalence of zoonotic parasites varied between 65.14% and 93.82% in the villages of Vavoua. The regression of this rate may be possible on the basis of sensitization and monitoring of herders for compliance with the rules of hygiene and support from the human and animal health authorities and by the NGO working on health education and training, monitoring compliance with these rules.

With a self-similar parameter b（At） = hi/λi, where At is the Atwood number, hi and λi are the *** and wavelength of bubble （i = 1） and spike （i = 2） respectively, we derive analytically the solutions to the buoyancy-drag equation recently proposed for dynamical evolution of Rayleigh-Taylor and Richtmyer-Meshkov mixing zone. Numerical solutions are obtained with a simple form ofb（At）--- 1/（1 ＋ At） and comparisons with recent LEM （linear electric motor） experiments are made, and an agreement is found with properly chosen initial conditions.
