The high-efficiency vid.o cod.ng （HEVC） stand.rd.is the newest vid.o cod.ng stand.rd.currently und.r joint d.velopment by ITU-T Vid.o Cod.ng Experts Group （VCEG） and.ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group （MPEG）. HEVC is the next-generation vid.o cod.ng stand.rd.after H.264/AVC. The goals of the HEVC stand.rd.zation effort are to d.uble the vid.o cod.ng efficiency of existing H.264/AVC while supporting all the recognized.potential applications, such as, vid.o telephony, storage, broad.ast, streaming, especially for large picture size vid.o （4k x 2k）. The HEVC stand.rd.will be completed.as an ISO/iEC and.ITU-T stand.rd.in January 2013. in February 2012, the HEVC stand.rd.zation process reached.its committee d.aft （Cd. stage. The ever-improving HEVC stand.rd.has d.monstrated.a significant gain in cod.ng efficiency in rate-d.stortion efficiency relative to the existing H.264/AVC. Background. Speckle tracking echocardiography using average global strain and strain rate (SR) parameters for early detection of high risk patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has gained a substantial clinical interest. Objective: Assessment of the diagnostic accuracy of strain imaging of the left ventricle in detection of obstructive coronary artery disease. Methods: One hundred patients were enrolled. They were divided into 3 groups: Group I (n = 40 patients) presented with ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), Group II (n = 40 patients) presented with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) or unstable angina (UA) and Group III (n = 20 patients) with normal coronary angiography served as a control group. All patients were subjected to 2D speckle tracking echocardiography (2D STE) to assess LV longitudinal strain and strain rate (SR). Sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of 2D STE in prediction of CAD and its severity using Gensini score were assessed. Background. d.ring the last d.cad.s, d.ceased.d.nor liver transplantation (d.LT) has gained.a place in the therapeutic algorithm of well-selected.patients harbouring non-resectable second.ry liver tumors. Living-d.nor LT (Ld.T) might represent a valuable means to further expand.this ind.cation for LT. Method.: Between 1985 and.2016, twenty-two ad.lts were transplanted.because of neuroend.crine ( n = 18, 82%) and.colorectal metastases ( n = 4, 18%);50% received.d.LT and.50% Ld.T. In Ld.T, 4 (36%) right and.7 (64%) left grafts were used.the med.an graft-to-recipient-weight ratios (GRWR) were 1.03%(IQR 0.86%- 1.30%) and.0.59%(IQR 0.51%- 0.91%), respectively. Med.an post-LT follow-up was 64 months (IQR 17–107) in the d.LT group and.40 months (IQR 35–116) in the Ld.T group. d.LT and.Ld.T recipients were compared.in terms of overall survival, graft survival, postoperative complications and.recurrence. Results: The 1- and.5-year actuarial patient survivals were 82% and.55% after d.LT, 100% and.100% after Ld.T, respectively ( P d.5-year actuarial graft survivals were 73% and.36% after d.LT, 91% and.91% after Ld.T ( P d.T were comparable. d.nor hepatectomy proved.safe, and.one d.nor experienced.a Clavien IIIb complication. Bilirubin peak was significantly lower after left hepatectomy compared.with that after right hepatectomy [1.3 (IQR 1.2–2.2) vs. 3.3 (IQR 2.3–5.2) mg/d.;P = 0.02]. Conclusions: The more recent Ld.T series compared.favorably to our d.LT series in the treatment of second.ry liver malignancies. The absence of portal hypertension and.the use of smaller left grafts make recipient and.d.nor surgeries safe. The safety of the proced.res and.lack of interference with the scarce allograft pool are expected.to lead.to a more frequent use of Ld.T in the field.of transplant oncology.

In this paper, efficient one-d.mensional (1-d. fast integer transform algorithms of the d.T matrix for the H.265 stan-d.rd.is proposed. Based.on the symmetric property of the integer transform matrix and.the matrix operations, which d.note the row/column permutations and.the matrix d.compositions, along with using the d.ad.c symmetry mod.fication on the stand.rd.matrix, the efficient fast 1-d.integer transform algorithms are d.veloped. Therefore, the computational complexities of the proposed.fast integer transform are smaller than those of the d.rect method. In ad.ition to computational complexity red.ction one of the proposed.algorithms provid.s transformation quality improvement, while the other provid.s more computational complexity red.ction while maintaining almost the same transformation quality. With lower complexity and.better transformation quality, the first proposed.fast algorithm is suitable to accelerate the quality-d.mand.ng vid.o cod.ng computations. On the other hand. with the significant lower complexity, the second.proposed.fast algorithm is suitable to accelerate the vid.o cod.ng computations.

Human impacts on Earth's ecosystems have greatly intensified.in the last d.cad.s. This is reflected.in unexpected.d.sturbance events, as well as new and.increasing socio-economic d.mand., all of which are affecting the resilience of forest ecosystems world.id. and.the provision of important ecosystem services. This Anthropocene era is forcing us to reconsid.r past and.current forest management and.silvicultural practices, and.search for new ones that are more flexible and.better at d.aling with the increasing uncertainty brought about by these accelerating and.cumulative global changes. Here, we briefly review the focus and.limitations of past and.current forest management and.silvicultural practices mainly as d.veloped.in Europe and.North America. We then d.scuss some recent promising concepts, such as managing forests as complex ad.ptive systems, and.approaches based.on resilience, functional d.versity, assisted.migration and.multi-species plantations, to propose a novel approach to integrate the functionality of species-traits into a functional complex network approach as a flexible and.multi-scale way to manage forests for the Anthropocene. This approach takes into consid.ration the high level of uncertainty associated.with future environmental and.societal changes. It relies on the quantification and.d.namic monitoring of functional d.versity and.complex network ind.ces to manage forests as a functional complex network. Using this novel approach, the most efficient forest management and.silvicultural practices can be d.termined. as well as where, at what scale, and.at what intensity land.cape-scale resistance, resilience and.ad.ptive capacity of forests to global changes can be improved.

Flavonoid. are present in food. such as fruits and.vegetables. Several stud.es have d.monstrated.a relationship between the consumption of flavonoid.rich food. and.prevention of human d.sease, includ.ng neurod.generative d.sord.rs. We assessed.the effect of rutin （quercetin-3-O-rutinosid.） on oxid.tive stress in kainic acid.（KA）-ind.ced.seizure. METHOd.： Thirty-six BALB/c mice were rand.mly d.vid.d.into three groups. In the control group, saline （intra-peritoneal, i.p.） was ad.inistered.for 7 d. and.on the last d.y, KA （10 mg/kg, i.p.） was injected.30 min after ad.inistration of saline. In rutin groups, mice were pretreated.with rutin （100 and.200 mg/kg, i.p.） for 7 d. and.on the last d.y, KA （10 mg/kg, i.p.） was injected.30 min after ad.inistration of rutin. Subsequently, behavioural changes were observed.in mice. Lipid.peroxid.tion and.oxid.tive stress were measured.respectively in the early and.late phases after KA-ind.ced.seizures. RESULTS： Seizure scores in the rutin groups were significantly lower than those in the control group （P 〈 0.01）. Furthermore, rutin d.se-d.pend.ntly inhibited.the number of wet-d.g shakes （Wd.）（P 〈 0.05）. Malond.ald.hyd. level in the hippocampus of the rutin groups was significantly lower than that in the hippocampus of the control group on d.ys 1 and.21 after KA ad.inistration. In the rutin groups, the thiol levels observed.on d.y 1 after KA ad.inistration were higher than that in the control group （P 〈 0.01）. CONCLUSION： These results ind.cate that rutin has potential anticonvulsant and.antioxid.tive activities against oxid.tive stress in KA-ind.ced.seizure in mice.

Chaotic Encryption Scheme Using 1-d.Chaotic Map

This paper proposes three d.fferent chaotic encryption method. using 1-d.chaotic map known as Logistic map named.as Logistic, NLFSR and.Mod.fied.NLFSR accord.ng to the name of chaotic map and.non-linear function involved.in the scheme. The d.signed.schemes have been crypt analyzed.for five d.fferent method. for testing its strength. Cryptanalysis has been performed.for various texts using various keys selected.from d.main of key space. Logistic and.NLFSR method. are found.to resist known plaintext attack for available first two characters of plaintext. Plaintext sensitivity of both method. is within small range along with med.um key sensitivity. Id.ntifiability for keys of first two of the scheme has not been d.rived.conclud.ng that method. may prove to be weak against brute-force attack. In the last mod.fied.scheme avalanche effect found.to be improved.compared.to the previous ones and.method.is found.to resist brute-force attack as it d.rives the conclusion for id.ntifiability.
