Nano-sized Ag rather than single-atom Ag determines CO oxidation activity and stability

Single-atom catalysis recently attracts great attentions,however,whether single atom or their nanoparticle(NP)has the advantage in its intrinsic activity remains under heated ***/Al_(2)O_(3) is a widely used catalyst for many catalytic reactions,while the effect of Ag particle size on the actity is seldom investigated due to the great difficulty in synthesizing single atom Ag and Ag clusters/particles with different ***,we firstly prepared an atomically dispersed Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst using a nano-sized y-Al_(2)O_(3) as the support,subsequently obtained a series of Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalysts with different Ag particle sizes by H_(2) reducing single-atom Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst at various *** Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) treated at 600℃demonstrated superior CO oxidation performance over single-atom Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) and the Ag/Al_(2)O_(3) treated at 400 and 800℃.Based on experimental data and dpnsity functional theory(DFT)calculation results,we reveal that the larger Ag°particle is beneficial to oxygen activation and improves the valence stability during oxidation reaction,while the aggregation of Ag°particle also accordingly decreases the concentration of surface active sites,hence,there is an optimum Ag0 particle *** findings clearly confirm that Ag0nanoparticle has the advantage over single-atom Ag species in its intrinsic activity for CO oxidation.

AIM: To explore the performance in diabetic retinopathy(DR) screening of artificial intelligence(AI) system by evaluating the image quality of a handheld Optomed Aurora fundus camera in comparison to traditional tabletop fundus cameras and the diagnostic accuracy of DR of the two modalities. METHODS: Overall, 630 eyes were included from three centers and screened by a handheld camera(Aurora, Optomed, Oulu, Finland) and a table-top camera. Image quality was graded by three masked and experienced ophthalmologists. The diagnostic accuracy of the handheld camera and AI system was evaluated in assessing DR lesions and referable ***: Under nonmydriasis status, the handheld fundus camera had better image quality in centration, clarity, and visible range(1.47, 1.48, and 1.40) than conventional tabletop cameras(1.30, 1.28, and 1.18;P<0.001). Detection of retinal hemorrhage, hard exudation,and macular edema were comparable between the two modalities, in principle, with the area under the curve of the handheld fundus camera slightly lower. The sensitivity and specificity for the detection of referable DR with the handheld camera were 82.1%(95%CI: 72.1%-92.2%) and 97.4%(95%CI: 95.4%-99.5%), respectively. The performance of AI detection of DR using the Phoebus Algorithm was satisfactory;however, Phoebus showed a high sensitivity(88.2%, 95%CI: 79.4%-97.1%) and low specificity(40.7%, 95%CI: 34.1%-47.2%) when detecting referable ***: The handheld Aurora fundus camera combined with autonomous AI system is well-suited in DR screening without mydriasis because of its high sensitivity of DR detection as well as its image quality, but its specificity needs to be improved with better modeling of the data. Use of this new system is safe and effective in the detection of referable DR in real world practice.

AIM:To compare postoperative quality of life (QOL) in patients with gastric cancer treated by esophagogastrostomy reconstruction after proximal ***: QOL assessments that included functional outcomes (a 24-item survey about treatment-specific symptoms) and health perception (Spitzer QOL Index) were performed in 149 patients with gastric cancer in the upper third of the stomach, who had received proximal gastrectomy with additional ***: Fifty-four patients underwent reconstruction by esophagogastric anterior wall end-to-side anastomosis combined with pyloroplasty (EA group); 45 patients had reconstruction by esophagogastric posterior wall end-to-side anastomosis (EP group); and 50 patients had reconstruction by esophagogastric end-to-end anastomosis (EE group). The EA group showed the best postoperative QOL, such as recovery of body weight, less discomfort after meals, and less heart burn or belching at 6 and 24 mo postoperatively. However, the survival rates, surgical results and Spitzer QOL index were similar among the three ***: Postoperative QOL was better in the EA than EP or EE group. To improve QOL after proximal gastrectomy for upper third gastric cancer, the EA procedure using a stapler is safe and feasible for esophagogastrostomy.

AIM:To examine the determinants of maternal-neonatal transmission of hepatitis B virus(HBV) METHODS:A nested case-control study was conducted in Changsha,Hunan,People's Republic of China from January 1,2005 to September 31,2006 To avoid potential maternal blood contamination,we collected vein blood of newborns immediately after birth and before initial hepatitis B vaccination to determine the HBV infection status of the newborn For each HBsAg-positive infant,one HBsAg-negative infant born to an HBsAg-positive mother was matched by hospital at birth(same),gender(same),and date of birth(within 1 mo) A faceto-face interview was conducted to collect clinical and epidemiological data Conditional logistic regression analysis was used to estimate the independent effects of various determinants on maternal-neonatal transmission of HBV RESULTS:A total of 141 HBsAg-positive infants and 141 individually matched HBsAg-negative infants were included in the final analysis Maternal first-degree family history of HBV infection,intrahepatic cholestasis,and premature rupture of membranes were risk factors for perinatal transmission of HBV,whereas systematic treatment and HBV immunoglobulin injections for mothers with HBV infection were protective factors for maternal-neonatal transmission of HBV,after adjustment for potential confounding factors CONCLUSION:For HBsAg-positive mothers,systematic treatment,HBV immunoglobulin administration,and controlling intrahepatic cholestasis and pregnancy complications may reduce the incidence of perinatal transmission of HBV.

Objective:To examine the values of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) on diagnosis and treatment of esophageal hamartoma. Methods:We compared and analyzed various kinds of imaging examinations such as barium esophagram, con-trast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) and conventional gastroscopy in retrospectively reviewing the clinical data of an esophageal hamartoma patient seen in our clinic in the First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Having received various imaging examinations, this patient was finally diagnosed with esophageal hamartoma and underwent gastroscopic resection of hamartoma with the diagnostic information obtained from EUS. The patient had been regularly followed up for 13 months after treatment. Results: Barium esophagram, CT and conventional gastroscopy detected the lesion, but were unable to distinguish it from common esophagopolypus and other submucosal lesions, and unable to determine etiopathogenisis. EUS detected the hamartoma and identified its internal structure, echo, exact size, depth of invasion, origin and the relationship between adjacent tissues and organs, differentiating the lesion from other submucosal tumors and clearly defining the diagnosis. EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) also helped to identify the etiological diagnosis. Conclusion: EUS was superior to other imaging means in diagnosis and treatment of hamartoma.

为探究早季与晚季不同种植季节对高直链淀粉水稻消化特性的影响,本研究以6个高直链淀粉水稻为供试品种,于2020-2021年进行早、晚季种植,通过体外消化模拟方法结合气象数据,研究高直链淀粉水稻在早季种植时和晚季种植时的淀粉消化特性的差异。结果表明,高直链淀粉水稻在早季种植时,灌浆期平均温度和平均辐射量比晚季种植分别高16.1%和10.1%。总葡萄糖生成量(total glucose production, TGP)和葡萄糖生成速率(glucose production rate, GPR)比晚季种植时分别降低4.1%和10.0%,而活跃消化时间(active digestion duration, ADD)增加7.8%。与晚季种植相比,高直链淀粉水稻在早季种植时直链淀粉增加3.1%,蛋白质降低8.5%。稻米RVA谱特征值中峰值黏度、最低黏度、崩解值、最终黏度、回复值和糊化温度分别增加34.4%、29.7%、51.6%、26.2%、20.6%和1.3%,而消减值降低2.6%。相关性分析表明,GPR与直链淀粉含量、峰值黏度、最低黏度和最终黏度呈显著负相关关系,相关系数分别为–0.429、–0.558、–0.662和–0.439,与蛋白质含量呈显著正相关关系,相关系数为0.565。直链淀粉含量、峰值黏度、最低黏度都与灌浆期的日平均温度和日平均太阳辐射呈显著正相关关系,蛋白质与灌浆期的日平均温度和日平均太阳辐射呈显著正相关关系。由此可知,高直链淀粉水稻品种在早季种植后,灌浆期日平均温度及日平均太阳辐射量增加,导致直链淀粉含量、峰值黏度、最低黏度和最终黏度增加,蛋白质含量降低,进而导致淀粉消化速率变慢。本研究结果可为高直链淀粉水稻品种淀粉消化快慢的栽培调控提供理论依据。

Spiders are among the most varied terrestrial predators,with highly diverse morphology,ecology,and *** and molecular data have greatly contributed to advances in the phylogeny and evolutionary dynamics of ***,we performed comprehensive mitochondrial phylogenomics analysis on 78 mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)representing 29 families;of these,23 species from eight families were newly *** retained the same gene arrangement as the arthropod ancestor(Limulus polyphemus),while Opisthothelae showed extensive rearrangement,with 12 rearrangement types in transfer RNAs(tRNAs)and control *** spider tRNAs were extremely truncated and lacked typical dihydrouridine or TΨC arms,showing high tRNA structural diversity;in particular,trnS1 exhibited anticodon diversity across the *** evolutionary rates of mitochondrial genes were potentially associated with gene rearrangement or truncated *** mitogenomic sequences and rearrangements possessed phylogenetic characteristics,providing a robust backbone for spider phylogeny,as previously *** monophyly of suborder,infraorder,retrolateral tibial apophysis clade,and families(except for Pisauridae)was separately supported,and high-level relationships were resolved as(Mesothelae,(Mygalomorphae,(Entelegynae,(Synspermiata,Hypochilidae)))).The phylogenetic positions of several families were also resolved(e.g.,Eresidae,Oecobiidae and Titanoecidae).Two reconstructions of ancestral web type obtained almost identical results,indicating that the common ancestor of spiders likely foraged using a silk-lined *** study,the largest mitochondrial phylogenomics analysis of spiders to date,highlights the usefulness of mitogenomic data not only for providing efficient phylogenetic signals for spider phylogeny,but also for characterizing trait diversification in spider evolution.
