Strong orthogonal arrays(SOAs) were recently introduced and studied as a class of spacefilling designs for computer experiments. To surely realize better space-filling properties, SOAs of strength three or higher are desirable. In addition, orthogonality is also an important property for designs of computer experiments, because it guarantees that the estimates of the main effects are uncorrelated. This paper first provides a systematic study on the construction of(nearly) orthogonal strength-three SOAs with better space-filling properties. The newly proposed strength-three SOAs enjoy almost the same space-filling properties of strength-four SOAs, and can accommodate much more columns than the latter. Moreover, they are(nearly) orthogonal and flexible in run sizes. The construction methods are straightforward to implement, and their theoretical supports are well established. In addition to the theoretical results, many designs are tabulated for practical needs.

Infrared small target detection is a common task in infrared image processing. Under limited computational resources. Traditional methods for infrared small target detection face a trade-off between the detection rate and the accuracy. A fast infrared small target detection method tailored for resource-constrained conditions is proposed for the YOLOv5s model. This method introduces an additional small target detection head and replaces the original Intersection over Union (IoU) metric with Normalized Wasserstein Distance (NWD), while considering both the detection accuracy and the detection speed of infrared small targets. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves a maximum effective detection speed of 95 FPS on a 15 W TPU, while reaching a maximum effective detection accuracy of 91. 9 AP@0.5, effectively improving the efficiency of infrared small target detection under resource-constrained conditions.

The theory of uniform design has received increasing interest because of its wide application in the field of computer *** generalized discrete discrepancy is proposed to evaluate the uniformity of the mixed-level factorial *** this paper,the authors give a lower bound of the generalized discrete discrepancy and provide some construction methods of optimal mixed-level uniform designs which can achieve this lower *** methods are all deterministic construction methods which can avoid the complexity of stochastic *** saturated mixed-level uniform designs and supersaturated mixed-level uniform designs can be obtained with these ***,the resulting designs are also χ^(2)-optimal and minimum moment aberration designs.

Based on the potential-energy-surface calculation,the impact of different deformation degrees of freedom on a single-particle structure and binding energies in nuclei around^(152)Nd,located on one of the hexadecapole-deformation islands,is analyzed in a multi-dimensional deformation *** energy maps,curves and tables are presented to indicate nuclear *** calculated equilibrium deformations and binding energies with different potential parameters are compared with experimental data and other *** is found that the inclusion of the hexadecapole deformations,especially the axial one,can improve the theoretical description of both nuclear shapes and *** addition,our calculated potential-energy curve shows that a critical deformation-point,β_(2)≈0.4,exists—the triaxial(hexadecapole)deformation effect can be neglectable but the hexadecapole(triaxial)one plays an important role before(after)such a critical point.
