Objective: This comprehensive review aims to explain the disease pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and management ***: A review was carried out in the following databases: Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and Cochrane. The following terms were used alone and combined: Retrograde, Cricopharyngeus muscle, Dysfunction, Abelchia, and inability to ***: A total of 68 articles were identified, and only 11 were found to be relevant and included in writing this review. Retrograde cricopharyngeal dysfunction (R-CPD) is a relatively new disease entity that has recently been described in clinical literature. It is caused by the inability of the cricopharyngeus muscle to relax. Unlike cricopharyngeal dysfunction (CPD), which is well-known and characteriz.d by dysphagia, R-CPD is characteriz.d by the inability to belch in almost all patients, which is considered diagnostic for the ***: High-resolution manometry (HRM) is the definitive diagnostic modality. Most patients reported in the literature responded well to treatment with botulinum toxin injection.

The γ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic rays (CRs) accelerated by the shock of supernova remnant (SNR) W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region, W51B. However, the maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains elusive. Based on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO), we report a significant detection of γ rays emanating from the W51 complex, with energies from 2 to 200 TeV. The LHAASO measurements, for the first time, extend the γ-ray emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of TeV. By combining the "π0-decay bump" featured data from Fermi-LAT, the broadband γ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characteriz.d by a simple pp-collision model. The observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at ∼400 TeV or a power-law break at ∼200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum, most likely providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV regime. Additionally, two young star clusters within W51B could also be theoretically viable to produce the most energetic γ rays observed by LHAASO. Our findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs. © 2024 Science China Press

System logs, serving as a pivotal data source for performance monitoring and anomaly detection, play an indispensable role in assuring service stability and reliability. Despite this, the majority of existing log-based anomaly detection methodologies predominantly depend on the sequence or quantity attributes of logs, utiliz.ng solely a single Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and its variant sequence models for detection. These approaches have not thoroughly exploited the semantic information embedded in logs, exhibit limited adaptability to novel logs, and a single model struggles to fully unearth the potential features within the log sequence. Addressing these challenges, this article proposes a hybrid architecture based on a multiscale convolutional neural network, efficient channel attention and mogrifier gated recurrent unit networks (LogCEM), which amalgamates multiple neural network technologies. Capitaliz.ng on the superior performance of robustly optimiz.d BERT approach (RoBERTa) in the realm of natural language processing, we employ RoBERTa to extract the original word vectors from each word in the log template. In conjunction with the enhanced Smooth Inverse Frequency (SIF) algorithm, we generate more precise log sentence vectors, thereby achieving an in-depth representation of log semantics. Subsequently, these log vector sequences are fed into a hybrid neural network, which fuses 1D Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network (MSCNN), Efficient Channel Attention Mechanism (ECA), and Mogrifier Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). This amalgamation enables the model to concurrently capture the local and global dependencies of the log sequence and autonomously learn the significance of different log sequences, thereby markedly enhancing the efficacy of log anomaly detection. Statistics and experiments indicate a correlation between cancer mortality and nitrite in drinking water. Nitrite is a reductant that can deprive a cell of oxygen;it is also an oxidant that can be a substrate in anaerobic ammonium oxidation, the metabolic mode of the anammox bacteria. Eukaryote cells evolved through a fusion of anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. We postulate that an anammox bacterium sought refuge in a fusion with a membrane-bound cluster of aerobic bacteria. While the latter evolved into mitochondria organelles, the former became the nucleus of a prokaryote cell. Eventually, oxidative phosphorilation is the characteristic metabolic pathway of normal eukaryote cells, and we postulate that anammox is the protein-catabolism pathway for cancer cells. The metabolism consumes nitrite and explains thus the link between nitrite and cancer.

Ghost-YOLO v8: An Attention-Guided Enhanced Small Target Detection Algorithm for Floating Litter on Water Surfaces

Addressing the challenges in detecting surface floating litter in artificial lakes, including complex environments, uneven illumination, and susceptibility to noise and weather, this paper proposes an efficient and lightweight Ghost-YOLO (You Only Look Once) v8 algorithm. The algorithm integrates advanced attention mechanisms and a small-target detection head to significantly enhance detection performance and efficiency. Firstly, an SE (Squeez.-and-Excitation) mechanism is incorporated into the backbone network to fortify the extraction of resilient features and precise target localiz.tion. This mechanism models feature channel dependencies, enabling adaptive adjustment of channel importance, thereby improving recognition of floating litter targets. Secondly, a 160 × 160 small-target detection layer is designed in the feature fusion neck to mitigate semantic information loss due to varying target scales. This design enhances the fusion of deep and shallow semantic information, improving small target feature representation and enabling better capture and identification of tiny floating litter. Thirdly, to balance performance and efficiency, the GhostConv module replaces part of the conventional convolutions in the feature fusion neck. Additionally, a novel C2fGhost (CSPDarknet53 to 2-Stage Feature Pyramid Networks Ghost) module is introduced to further reduce network parameters. Lastly, to address the challenge of occlusion, a new loss function, WIoU (Wise Intersection over Union) v3 incorporating a flexible and non-monotonic concentration approach, is adopted to improve detection rates for surface floating litter. The outcomes of the experiments demonstrate that the Ghost-YOLO v8 model proposed in this paper performs well in the dataset Marine, significantly enhances precision and recall by 3.3 and 7.6 percentage points, respectively, in contrast with the base model, mAP@0.5 and mAP 0.5:0.95 improve by 5.3 and 4.4 percentage points and reduces the computational volu

The Effect of Procrastination on Physical Exercise among College Students—The Chain Effect of Exercise Commitment and Action Control

Background: Exercise procrastination is prevalent among college students, causing decline in physical fitness. It is imperative to investigate the mechanism affecting college students’ physical activity behaviors. This study was aimed at investigating the effect of procrastination on college students’ physical exercise behavior, and the chain mediation effects of exercise commitment and action control (AC), to provide a theoretical basis for interventions targeting physical exercise behavior among college students. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted using convenience sampling. The General Procrastination Scale, Exercise Commitment Scale, Action Control Scale, and Physical Activity Rating Scale-3 questionnaires were used. Participants were 581 college students (age 19.27 ± 0.94 years; 243 males and 338 females). Statistical methods of regression analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were applied. Results: Procrastination, exercise commitment, and action control were found to be significant predictors of physical exercise behavior. Among these predictors, exercise commitment and action control showed full mediation effects in the relationship between procrastination and physical exercise behavior, and explained 25.48% and 30.77% of the total variance, respectively. The chain mediation effect of exercise commitment-action control was significant, accounting for 22.60% of the total variance, and the total indirect effect was 79.33%. Conclusion: Therefore, higher procrastination was associated with less participation in physical exercise behavior among college students. Improvements in exercise commitment and volitional decision-making ability for physical exercise behavior promoted physical exercise behavior, and increased exercise commitment promoted volitional decision-making ability among the students. A New Method for Deriving High-Vertical-Resolution Wind Vector Data from the L-Band Radar Sounding System in China

High-vertical-resolution radiosonde wind data are highly valuable for describing the dynamics of the meso- and microscale atmosphere. However, the current algorithm used in China’s L-band radar sounding system for calculating high-vertical-resolution wind vectors excessively smooths the data, resulting in significant underestimation of the calculated kinetic energy of gravity waves compared to similar products from other countries, which greatly limits the effective utiliz.tion of the data. To address this issue, this study proposes a novel method to calculate high-vertical-resolution wind vectors that utiliz.s the elevation angle, az.muth angle, and slant range from L-band radar. In order to obtain wind data with a stable quality, a two-step automatic quality control procedure, including the RMSE-F (root-mean-square error F) test and elemental consistency test are first applied to the slant range data, to eliminate continuous erroneous data caused by unstable signals or radar malfunctions. Then, a wind calculation scheme based on a sliding second-order polynomial fitting is utiliz.d to derive the high-vertical-resolution radiosonde wind vectors. The evaluation results demonstrate that the wind data obtained through the proposed method show a high level of consistency with the high-resolution wind data observed using the Vaisala Global Positioning System and the data observed by the new Beidou Navigation Sounding System. The calculation of the kinetic energy of gravity waves in the recalculated wind data also reaches a level comparable to the Vaisala observations. © Institute of Atmospheric Physics/Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Science Press 2024.

Copy-Move Forgery Detection (CMFD) is a technique that is designed to identify image tampering and locate suspicious areas. However, the practicality of the CMFD is impeded by the scarcity of datasets, inadequate quality and quantity, and a narrow range of applicable tasks. These limitations significantly restrict the capacity and applicability of CMFD. To overcome the limitations of existing methods, a novel solution called IMTNet is proposed for CMFD by employing a feature decoupling approach. Firstly, this study formulates the objective task and network relationship as an optimiz.tion problem using transfer learning. Furthermore, it thoroughly discusses and analyz.s the relationship between CMFD and deep network architecture by employing ResNet-50 during the optimiz.tion solving phase. Secondly, a quantitative comparison between fine-tuning and feature decoupling is conducted to evaluate the degree of similarity between the image classification and CMFD domains by the enhanced ResNet-50. Finally, suspicious regions are localiz.d using a feature pyramid network with bottom-up path augmentation. Experimental results demonstrate that IMTNet achieves faster convergence, shorter training times, and favorable generaliz.tion performance compared to existing methods. Elucidating the flow features around piles in local scouring processes is crucial for studies of local scouring mechanisms and scour depth *** study details the flow turbulence characteristics of two submerged piles that are determined by solving the Navier-Stokes equations with the improved delayed detached eddy simulation *** model is verified by comparing experimental and numerical results for hydrodynamic parameters with the literature for both square-crossing piles(SCPs)and circular-crossing piles(CCPs).Original topographies of flat and scoured beds(i.e.,the initial and equilibrium scouring stages)are based on experimental results obtained by the authors in the present *** and CCP flow features in the scouring process are *** results indicate that during the scouring process,the time-averaged drag coefficient and root mean square(rms)of the lift coefficient increase linearly in the CCP test,while the rms of the lift coefficient in the SCP test decreases ***,the minimum pressure coefficient is always located in the upstream corners in the SCP case but moves from 72.5°to 79.5°when the scour hole is completely developed in the CCP *** flow behind the pile,which is generated by separated boundary layers above the top face of the pile,can reach the sand bed and turn the separated shear layers into patches of small vortices in the near-wake ***,the high shear stress z.nes are mainly at the scour edges under scoured-bed conditions.
