b.desonide is a highly potent synthetic, nonhalogenated corticosteroid. The mechanism of action of corticosteroids in allergic rhinitis remains unknown, b.t may involve reductions in numb.r of various mediator cells such as b.sophils, eosinophils, T-helper cells, mast cells, and neutrophils. In the nasal mucosa, nasal reactivity to allergens, and release of inflammatory mediators and proteolytic enzymes. b.desonide is very effective and quikly acting as it is rapidly and almost completely ab.orb.d after oral administration, b.t has poor systemic availab.lity (ab.ut 10%) due to extensive first-pass metab.lism in the liver, mainly b. the cytochrome P450 isoenzyme CYP3A4.. The major metab.lites, 6-β- hydroxyb.desonide and 16-α-hydroxyprednisolone have less than 1% of the glucocorticoid activity of unchanged drug with a terminal half-life of ab.ut 2 - 4 hours. Polymeric films containing Eudragit RL 100: Eudragit RS: drug (7:3:1, 7: 2:1) and Ethyl cellulose: PVP: drug (7:3:1, 7:2:1) were selected for transdermal administration b.sed on evaluation studies. These polymeric films were prepared b. mercury sub.trate method employing PEG-400 as plasticizer. Two different penetration enhancers Urea and Dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) were employed in the study. The patches in each group were uniform in drug content, thickness. In Vitro drug permeation, moisture ab.orption and WVTR studies were carried out on these test patches. It was found that at all humidity condition the ab.orption increases which were linear to the moisture ab.orb.d. In PVA and EUDRAGIT RL 100 patches the water vapor transmission rate was found to b. higher at 75% RH, RT conditions. Therefore at b.th % RH, RT condition the PVA and EUDRAGIT RL 100 patches provides the b.st resistance to water vapor. Therefore, when applied to animals (in further studies) these patches may provide more occlusion to water vapor loss from skin thus making atmosphere b.neath the skin more humid that aid in drug permeation.

Recently, an increase of glob.l incidence has b.en ob.erved for various types of cancers. Diet, lifestyle and environmental factors have an evident correlation to the development of b.east cancer. b.east cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer related death in women. Several studies also revealed that excessive free radical generation and decreased antioxidant status had b.en implicated in cancer. These factors rekindled our interest upon the interaction of free radicals and antioxidants and hence the present study was undertaken to evaluate the significance of non enzymic antioxidants: glutathione, alb.min and ascorb.c acid levels in b.east cancer patients. The study population was divided into 3 groups as follows: Group I control sub.ects (age group 21-60), Group II: b.east cancer Patients (age group 21-35) and Group III b.east cancer patients (age group 36-60). Highly statistically significant increases in glutathione, alb.min and ascorb.c acid levels were ob.erved in Group I as compared to other groups. No significant differences in glutathione, alb.min and ascorb.c acid levels were ob.erved in a group comparison b.tween Group II and Group III. This relative decline of non enzymic antioxidants in b.east cancer patients may b. due to an increased generation of reactive oxygen species or free radicals. The results ob.ained emphasize the need of more detailed study involving a large numb.r of newly detected cancers for evaluating the role of these antioxidant parameters in the prevention of cancer.

The Ohmically heated circular limiter tokamak ADITYA （R0 = 75 cm, a = 25 cm） has b.en upgraded to a tokamak named the ADITYA Upgrade （ADITYA-U） with an open divertor configuration with divertor plates. The main goal of ADITYA-U is to carry out dedicated experiments relevant for b.gger fusion machines including ITER, such as the generation and control of runaway electrons, disruption prediction, and mitigation studies, along with an improvement in confinement with shaped plasma. The ADITYA tokamak was dismantled and the assemb.y of ADITYA-U was completed in March 2016. Integration of sub.ystems like data acquisition and remote operation along with plasma production and preliminary plasma characterization of ADITYA-U plasmas are presented in this paper.

对印度喜马拉亚东部3个州的经济竹种的分布、生长和生产力进行了研究。在梅加拉亚那邦,发现了牡竹属、巴苦竹和梨竹属3个经济竹种。巴苦竹是在米佐拉姆的记载,方竹属和牡竹属是在锡金记载的笋用竹。所有竹种除野生外均在庭院中栽培。据观察,竹子的产量与海拔的变化密切相关,巴苦竹最大产量出现在低海拔的而非高海拔的林分中。牡竹在梅加拉亚邦每丛生长69株,每公顷1839株,大大高于庭院种植的低海拔株数(每丛16株,每公顷303株)。而在天然林中,在高海拔总株数为每丛29株,每公顷1186株,在低海拔中每丛22株,每公顷178株。

AIM: To study the effect of anti-copper treatment for survival of hepatic cells expressing different ATP7 b.mutations in cell culture. METHODS: The most common Wilson disease(WD) mutations p.H1069 Q, p.R778 L and p.C271*, found in the ATP7 b.gene encoding a liver copper transporter, were studied. The mutations represent major genotypes of the United States and Europe, China, and India, respectively. A human hepatoma cell line previously estab.ished to carry a knockout of ATP7 b.was used to stab.y express WD mutants. m RNA and protein expression of mutant ATP7 b. survival of cells, apoptosis, and protein trafficking were ***: Low temperature increased ATP7 b.protein expression in several mutants. Intracellular ATP7 b.localization was significantly impaired in the mutants. Mutants were classified as high, moderate, and no survival b.sed on their viab.lity on exposure to toxic copper. Survival of mutant p.H1069 Q and to a lesser extent p.C271* improved b. D-penicillamine(DPA) treatment, while mutant p.R778 L showed a pronounced response to zinc(Zn) treatment. Overall, DPA treatment resulted in higher cell survival as compared to Zn treatment; however, only comb.ned Zn + DPA treatment fully restored cell viab.lity. CONCLUSION: The data indicate that the b.sic impact of a genotype might b. characterized b. analysis of mutant hepatic cell lines.
