This paper considers minimization of resistive and frictional power dissipation in a separately excited DC motor based incremental motion drive （IMD）. The drive is required to displace a given, fixed load through a definite angle in specified time, with minimum energy dissipation in the motor windings and minimum frictional losses. Accordingly, an energy optimal （EO） control strategy is proposed in which the motor is first accelerated to track a specific speed profile for a pre-determined optimal time period. Thereafter, both armature and field power supplies are disconnected, and the motor decelerates and comes to a halt at the desired displacement point in the desired total displacement time. The optimal time period for the initial acceleration phase is computed so that the motor stores just enough energy to decelerate to the final position at the specified displacement time. The parameters, such as the moment of inertia and coefficient of friction, which depend on the load and other external conditions, have been obtained using system identification method. Comparison with earlier control techniques is included. The results show that the proposed EO control strategy results in significant reduction of energy losses compared to the existing ones.

In the past two years,domestic violence has been increased due to the lockdowns during the coronavirus（COVID-19）*** the global pandemic continues,countries,cities,and communities affected by the virus adopted the non-pharmaceutical interventions colloquially known as（encompassing,curfews,quarantines）measures to slow the spread of the *** such actions may reduce the transmission of the infectious disease,and for some people,this may be the best way to fight this virus,unfortunately not everyone found safety in the resulting *** domestic violence（DV）victims may currently be facing a “worst-case” scenario – finding themselves trapped in the home with a violent perpetrator,during a time of severely limited contact with the outside world（Campbell,L.M.,＆ Jones,S.J.2016）.Therefore,the lockdowns and the social and economic impacts have increased the exposure of people to abusive partners and known risk factors,while limiting their access to essential *** fact that people started to spend more time together,situations of humanitarian crises,and displacement may exacerbate existing violence,such as by intimate partners,as well as non-partners（sexual and domestic violence）,and may also lead to another form of violence such as psychological violence that includes acts such as intimidation,isolation from others,verbal aggression,threats,insults,control,humiliation and defamation,harassment or *** objective of this study first is to understand how the pandemic influenced and aggravated the situation of those suffering from DV before the pandemic,and its relationship with the new cases of DV that occurred for the first time during the pandemic from people that did not show violent behaviors before the pandemic,second to capture the burden of DV during the pandemic lookdowns,and how or if support and interventions were provided to the victims and last to analyze the consequences of DV on the victim’s mental health during the lockdowns of

Since incorrect site selection has sometimes led to the failure of artificial recharge projects,it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of such projects and minimize their failure by employing new ***,the present research used a combination of decision-making models,numerical groundwater modeling and clustering technique to determine suitable sites for implementation of an artificial recharge *** hybrid approach was employed for the Yasouj aquifer located in southwestern *** the first stage,by employing an AHP decision-making model,hydraulic conductivity,specific yield,slope,land use,depth to groundwater,and aquifer thickness were selected from 21 criteria used in previous *** selected criteria were then entered as input into the classical k-means clustering *** the output,aquifer was divided into seven different regions or *** clusters were then matched with the land use map,and some of the abandoned land areas were selected as the final option for implementing the artificial recharge ***,the MODFLOW code in the GMS software was used to simulate the groundwater level and cluster the sites selected,with regards to increase in groundwater *** indicated that the most significant increases in groundwater level(43 and 27 cm)were those of Clusters 2 and 6 in the northern and western parts of the aquifer,***,this approach can be used in other similar aquifers in arid and semi-arid regions to select the best sites for artificial recharge and to prevent loss of floodwaters.

This innovative work presents mechanical,physical and chemical characterization and analysis of newly extracted fiber from naturally resourced plant stem,named Spinifex littoreus fibers(SLF).This is a novel natural,biodegradable and sustainable reinforcement for an improved ***,the chemical constituents of SLF,such as cellulose,lignin,moisture and wax content were *** raw SLF surfaces were modified by chemical treatment with sodium hydroxide(NaOH),calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2)and silane.A polyester matrix was reinforced with all the treated SLF,before the mechanical properties(tensile strengths)of the composites were *** all the surface chemically treated SLF/polyester composite samples,the Ca(OH)2 treated sample exhibited the highest tensile *** microscopic examination was carried out to validate this ***,this analysis established the mechanism of failure of the tensile fractured composite samples,using Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),among other techniques.

Radiotherapy with concurrent chemotherapy and surgery represent the main treatment modalities in esophageal *** goal of modern radiotherapy approaches,based on recent technological advances,is to minimize post-treatment complications by improving the gross tumor volume definition (positron emission tomography-based planning),reducing interfraction motion (image-guided radiotherapy) and intrafraction motion (respiratory-gated radiotherapy),and by better dose delivery to the precisely defined planning target volume (intensity-modulated radiotherapy and proton therapy).Reduction of radiotherapy-related toxicity is fundamental to the improvement of clinical results in esophageal cancer,although the dose escalation concept is controversial.

Coronary cameral fistula (CCF) is a very rare coronary anomaly in which a communication exists between one of the coronaries and a cardiac chamber. Most of the times it is an incidental finding detected at the time of a coronary angiography. However, sometimes it can have serious presentation like unstable angina, coronary steal or ventricular arrhythmia. We present a rare case of coronary cameral fistula arising from left circumflex artery (LCx) draining in to left ventricular (LV) apex and presenting as unstable angina.

Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis （PFIC） type 2 is caused by mutations in ABCB11, which encodes bile salt export pump （BSEP）. We report a Thai female infant who presented with progressive cholestatic jaundice since 1 mo of age, with normal serum y-glutamyltransferase. Immunohistochemical staining of the liver did not demonstrate BSEP along the canaliculi, while multidrug resistance protein 3 was expressed adequately. Novel mutations in ABCB11, a four-nucleotide deletion in exon 3, c.90_93delGAAA, and a single-nucleotide insertion in exon 5, c.249_250insT, were identified, with confirmation in her parents. These mutations were predicted to lead to synthesis of truncated forms of BSEP. Immunostaining and mutation analysis thus established the diagnosis of PFIC type

BACKGROUND Congenital cataract,facial dysmorphism,and neuropathy(CCFDN)syndrome is an extremely rare multiorgan *** include congenital cataracts,facial deformation,extremity deformities,and demyelinating *** syndrome is associated with increased risk during anesthesia including rhabdomyolysis or epileptic *** is a lack of published information about difficult airways in these *** airways during intubation represent one of the most dreaded anesthesia complications:A"can not intubate,can not oxygenate"*** herein is the first described successful endotracheal intubation of a CCFDN syndrome *** SUMMARY We report the anesthetic management of a 13-year-old girl with CCFDN syndrome scheduled for posterior neuromuscular scoliosis correction *** patient suffered from extensive progressive neuromuscular scoliosis with a Cobb angle of 83°.Her limitations included neuropathy and a scoliotic *** condition negatively impacted her quality of *** case reflects the potential anesthetic complications for posterior scoliosis correction and CCFDN *** challenge for our anesthetic team was the limited amount of data about anesthetic management of this *** total,one case report without any data about endotracheal intubation of patients with this condition was *** intubation in our case was *** focus of our case was the prevention of possible complications associated with this syndrome,including rhabdomyolysis and *** can be triggered by some types of anesthetic agents like suxamethonium or volatile anesthetics,especially in patients with certain types of *** Adequate understanding of the anesthetic management of CCFDN syndrome can reduce perioperative complications and improve patient outcome after surgery.
