Global constraints from RHIC and LHC on transport properties of QCD fluids in CUJEt/CIBJEt framework

We report results of a comprehensive global х~2 analysis of nuclear collision data from RHIC(0.2 AteV),LHC1(2.76 AteV), and recent LHC2(5.02 AteV) energies using the updated CUJEt framework. the framework consistently combines viscous hydrodynamic fields predicted by VISHNU2+1(validated with soft p_t﹤2 GeV bulk observables) and the DGLV theory of jet elastic and inelastic energy loss generalized to QGP fluids with an sQGMP color structure, including effective semi-QGP color electric quark and gluon as well as emergent color magnetic monopole degrees of freedom constrained by lattice QCD data. We vary the two control parameters of the model(the maximum value of the running QCD coupling, c, and the ratio cm of color magnetic to electric screening scales) and calculate the global х~2(α_c,c_m) compared with available jet fragment observables( R_(AA),v_2). A global х~2 minimum is found with α_c≈0.9±0.1 and c_m≈0.25±0.03. Using CIBJEt, the event-by-event(ebe) generalization of the CUJEt framework, we show that ebe fluctuations in the initial conditions do not significantly alter our conclusions(except for v_3). An important theoretical advantage of the CUJEt and CIBJEt frameworks is not only its global х~2 consistency with jet fragment observables at RHIC and LHC and with non-perturbative lattice QCD data, but also its internal consistency of the constrained jet transport coefficient, ■(E,t)/t^3, with the near-perfect fluid viscosity to entropy ratio(η/s～t^3/■～0.1-0.2) property of QCD fluids near tc needed to account for the low p_t﹤2 GeV flow observables. Predictions for future tests at LHC with 5.44 AteV Xe + Xe and 5.02 AteV Pb + Pb are also presented.

We develop a comprehensive dynamical framework, CIBJEt, to calculate on an event-by-event basis the dependence of correlations between soft （Pt 〈2 GeV） and hard （Pt 〉 10 GeV） azimuthal flow angle harmonics on the color composition of near-perfect QCD fluids produced in high energy nuclear collisions at RHIC and LHC. CIBJEt combines consistently predictions of event-by-event VISHNU2＋I viscous hydrodynamic fluid fields with CUJEt3.1 predictions of event-by-event jet quenching. We find that recent correlation data favor a temperature dependent color composition including bleached chromo-electric q（t）＋g（t） components and an emergent chromo-magnetic degrees of freedom re（t） consistent with non-perturbative lattice QCD information in the confinement/deconfinement temperature range.

Objective： the Union for International Cancer Control （UICC） Node （N） classification is the most common used staging method for the prognosis of gastric cancer. It demands adequate, at least 16 lymph nodes （LNs） to be dissected; therefore different staging systems were invented. Methods： Between March 2005 and March 2010, 164 patients were evaluated at the Department of General Surgery in the Ken^zy Gyula Hospital and at the Department of General, thoracic and Vascular Surgery in the Kaposi M6r Hospital. the 6th, 7th and 8th UICC N-staging systems, the number of examined LNs, the number of harvested negative LNs, the metastatic lymph node ratio （MLR） and the log odds of positive LNs （LODDS） were determined to measure their 5-year survival rates and to compare them to each other. Results： the overall 5year survival rate for all patients was 55.5% with a median overall survival time of 102 months. the tumor stage, gender, UICC N-stages, MLR and the LODDS were significant prognostic factors for the 5-year survival with univariate analysis. the 6th UICC N-stage did not follow the adequate risk in comparing N2 vs. NO and N3 vs. NO with multivariate investigation. Comparison of performances of the residual N classifications proved that the LODDS system was first in the prediction of prognosis during the evaluation of all patients and in cases with less than 16 harvested LNs. the MLR gave the best prognostic prediction when adequate （more than or equal to 16） lymphadenectomy was performed. Conclusions： We suggest the application of LODDS system routinely in western patients and the usage of MLR classification in cases with extended lymphadenectomy.

AIM： to characterize the consequences of short-term exposure to luminal bile on mucosal mast cell reactions in a canine model, and to determine the effects of systemic phosphatidylcholine pretreatment in this condition. MEtHODS： twenty mongrel dogs were used for experiments. Group 1 （n =5） served as a salinetreated control, while in group 2 （n = 5） the esophagus was exposed to bile for 3 h. In group 3 （n =5） the animals were pretreated with 7-nitroindazole to inhibit the neuronal isoform of nitric oxide synthase. In group 4 （n = 5） phosphatidylcholine solution （50 rng/kg） was administered iv before the biliary challenge. Mucosal microcirculation was observed by intravital videomicroscopy. Myeloperoxidase and nitric oxide synthase activities, the degrees of mast cell degranulation and mucosal damage were evaluated via tissue biopsies. RESULtS： Exposure to bile evoked significant mast cell degranulation and leukocyte accumulation. the red blood cell velocity and the diameter of the postcapillary venules increased significantly. the tissue AtP content and constitutive nitric oxide synthase activity decreased, while the inducible nitric oxide synthase activity increased significantly as compared to the control values. 7-nitroindazole treatment significantly exacerbated the mucosal mast cell degranulation and tissue damage. tn contrast, phosphatidylcholine pretreatment prevented the bile-induced AtP depletion, the inducible nitric oxide synthase and myeloperoxidase activity and the mast cell degranulation increased. CONCLUSION： the neuronal nitric oxide synthasemast cell axis plays an important role in the esophageal mucosal defense system. Systemic phosphatidylcholine pretreatment affords effective protection through ameliorating the bile-induced AtP depletion and secondary inflammatory reaction.

Laparoscopic Burch urethropexy at time of mesh sling removal: A cohort study evaluating functional outcomes and quality of life

AIM： to theorize that performing a laparoscopic Burch urethropexy at time of sling removal would signifcantly decrease subjective symptoms of stress urinary incon-tinence （SUI） and improve patient ***： Women who underwent a combined sling removal and laparoscopic Burch procedure between 2009 and 2014 were matched via age and sling-type in a 1：2 ratio to women who only underwent a sling removal. those who underwent surgery within 6 mo of data collection were excluded from the study, as were women who underwent multi-stage surgery. Preoperative assessment for both groups included a focused clinical exam with or without functional testing and questionnaires including urogenital distress inventory-6 （UDI-6） and incontinence impact ques-tionnaire-7 （IIQ-7） per the standard clinical practice. All non-exempt women were sent a questionnaire that included UDI-6 and IIQ-7 in addition to standard follow-up questions. Research staff contacted participants via email, mail, and telephone using the same questionnaire template and script. Data was analyzed by using c2 test for categorical data, and Student’s t test and Wilcoxon Rank Sum test for continuous data. the measure of effect was determined by logistic regression ***： A total of 48 women out of 146 selected patients were successfully recruited with n = 22 in the Burch cohort and n = 26 in the control cohort. the mean age was 54.7 ± 7.8 years and mean body mass index was 22.0 ± 13.9 kg/m2. the majority of patients were Caucasian （73.3%）, postmenopausal （91.1%）, non-smokers （57.9%）, with a history of hysterectomy （81.4%）. Six nineteen point six percent of women presented after at least 2 years from placement, which was signifcantly more common in the Burch cohort. Pain was the most common chief complaint （64.4%） in both groups at the time of initial presentation, and 78.9% of women reported concomitant urinary incontinence. there was no signifcant difference in pre-operative UDI-6 and IIQ-7 s
