The.pape. de.cribe. some.imple.e.tation aspe.ts of an algorithm for approximate.solution of the.trave.ing sale.man proble. base. on the.construction of conve. close. contours on the.initial se. of points (“citie.”) and the.r subse.ue.t combination into a close. path (the.so-calle. contour algorithm or “onion husk” algorithm). A numbe. of he.ristics re.ate. to the.diffe.e.t stage. of the.algorithm are.conside.e., and various variants of the.algorithm base. on the.e.he.ristics are.analyze.. Se.s of randomly ge.e.ate. points of diffe.e.t size. (from 4 to 90 and from 500 to 10,000) we.e.use. to te.t the.algorithms. The.study was conducte. using the.library for working with transition graphs of nonde.e.ministic finite.automata NFALib imple.e.te. by one.of the.authors in C#, as we.l as statistical me.hods for analyzing algorithms. The.re.ults are.re.ularitie. obtaine. whe. conside.ing se.ilattice. on a se. of subse.s of grids of the.Wate.loo language. It follows from the.re.ults obtaine. that the.minimum cove.ing automaton e.uivale.t to the.Wate.loo automaton can be.obtaine. by adding one.additional to the.minimum cove.ing se. of grids. .
