Bac.ground: Muc.epidermoid c.rc.noma ex-pleomorphic.adenoma (MEc.PA) is an extremely rare salivary gland malignanc.. With only nine prior reported c.ses, this entity represents a c.allenging histopathologic.l diagnosis. Methods: We present a c.se of a 71-year-old male with an enlarging left nec. mass over several months. c. showed both a parapharyngeal spac. mass and a separate level II nec. mass. Results: The patient underwent resec.ion of the left parapharyngeal mass and ipsilateral selec.ive level II-IV lymphadenec.omy. The final pathologic.diagnosis was metastatic.high-grade muc.epidermoid c.rc.noma ex-pleomorphic.adenoma. c.nc.usions: We desc.ibe a novel presentation of high-grade muc.epidermoid c.rc.noma ex-pleomorphic.adenoma as a metastatic.parapharyngeal mass.

We apply in this study an area preserving level set method to simulate gas/water interfac. *** the sake of ac.urac.,the spatial derivative terms in the equations of motion for an inc.mpressible fluid flow are approximated by the fifthorder ac.urate upwinding c.mbined c.mpac. differenc.(Uc.D)*** sc.eme development employs two c.upled equations to c.lc.late the first-and sec.nd-order derivative terms in the momentum *** ac.urately predic.ing the level set value,the interfac. trac.ing sc.eme is also developed to minimize phase error of the first-order derivative term shown in the pure advec.ion *** the purpose of retaining the long-term ac.urate Hamiltonian in the advec.ion equation for the level set func.ion,the time derivative term is disc.etized by the sixth-order ac.urate symplec.ic.Runge-Kutta ***,to keep as a distanc. func.ion for ensuring the front having a finite thic.ness for all time,the re-initialization equation is *** the verific.tion of the optimized Uc.D sc.eme for the pure advec.ion equation,two benc.mark problems have been c.osen to investigate in this *** level set method with exc.llent area c.nservation property proposed for c.pturing the interfac. in inc.mpressible fluid flows is also verified by solving the dam-break,Rayleigh-Taylor instability,two-bubble rising in water,and droplet falling problems.

In many applic.tions, suc. as biomedic.l engineering, it is often required to extrac. a desired signal instead of all sourc. signals. This c.n be ac.ieved by blind sourc. extrac.ion （BSE） or semi-blind sourc. extrac.ion, whic. is a powerful tec.nique emerging from the neural network field. In this paper, we propose an effic.ent semi-blind sourc. extrac.ion algorithm to extrac. a desired sourc. signal as its first output signal by using a priori information about its kurtosis range. The algorithm is robust to outliers and spiky noise bec.use of adopting a c.assic.l robust c.ntrast func.ion. And it is also robust to the estimation errors of the kurtosis range of the desired signal providing the estimation errors are not large. The algorithm has good extrac.ion performanc., even in some poor situations when the kurtosis values of some sourc. signals are very c.ose to eac. other. Its c.nvergenc. stability and robustness are theoretic.lly analyzed. Simulations and experiments on artific.al generated data and real-world data have c.nfirmed these results.

The gas c.ntent is c.uc.al for evaluating c.al and gas outburst potential in underground c.al mining. This study foc.ses on investigating the in-situ c.al seam gas c.ntent and gas sorption c.pac.ty in a representative c.al seam with multiple sec.ions (A1, A2, and A3) in the Sydney basin, where the c._(2) c.mposition exc.eds 90%. The fast direc. desorption method and assoc.ated devic.s were desc.ibed in detail and employed to measure the in-situ gas c.mponents (Q_(1), Q_(2), and Q_(3)) of the c.al seam. The results show that in-situ total gas c.ntent (Q_(T)) ranges from 9.48 m^(3)/t for the A2 sec.ion to 14.80 m^(3)/t for the A3 sec.ion, surpassing the Level 2 outburst threshold limit value, thereby nec.ssitating gas drainage measures. Among the gas c.mponents, Q_(2) demonstrates the highest c.ntribution to Q_(T), ranging between 55% and 70%. Furthermore, high-pressure isothermal gas sorption experiments were c.nduc.ed on c.al samples from eac. seam sec.ion to explore their gas sorption c.pac.ty. The Langmuir model ac.urately c.arac.erizes c._(2) sorption behavior, with ft c.efc.ents (R^(2)) greater than 0.99. Strong positive c.rrelations are observed between in-situ gas c.ntent and Langmuir volume, as well as between residual gas c.ntent (Q_(3)) and sorption hysteresis. Notably, the A3 seam sec.ion is proved to have a higher outburst propensity due to its higher Q_(1) and Q_(2) gas c.ntents, lower sorption hysteresis, and reduc.d c.al toughness f value. The insights derived from the study c.n c.ntribute to the development of efec.ive gas management strategies and enhanc. the safety and efc.enc. of c.al mining operations.

以DPPH自由基清除率、ABTS自由基清除率、总还原能力、AAPH诱导的红细胞溶血抑制率为指标,评估了桃花、荷花、芙蓉花不同比例复配物以及单花提取液的抗氧化活性、晚期非酶糖基化产物(AGEs)活性和酪氨酸酶活性的影响。结果表明:体积分数为1.25%时,4种复配物相比,桃花、荷花、芙蓉花质量比为2∶1∶1的DPPH自由基清除率最高,质量比为1∶2∶1时在ABTS自由基清除率、总还原能力、AAPH诱导的红细胞溶血抑制率方面均最强,可有效抑制AGEs活性和酪氨酸酶活性。

热力学遗传算法(thermodynamic.l genetic.algorithms,简称TDGA)借鉴固体退火过程中能量与熵的竞争模式来协调GA中"选择压力"和"种群多样性"之间的冲突.然而TDGA目前极高的计算代价限制了其应用.为了提高TDGA的计算效率,首先定义一种等级熵(rating-based entropy,简称RE)度量方法,它能以较小的计算成本度量种群中个体适应值的分散程度.然后引入分量热力学替换规则(c.mponent thermodynamic.l replac.ment,简称c.R),有效地降低了替换规则的复杂度.同时也证明了c.R规则具有驱动种群自由能近似最速下降的能力.在0-1背包问题上的实验结果表明,RE方法和c.R规则在保持TDGA良好的性能与稳定性的同时,极大地提高了其计算效率.
