Indocyanine green(ICG)fluorescence imaging is widely used in abdominal *** implementation of minimally invasive rectal surgery using new methods like robotics or a transanal approach required improvement of optical *** that setting,ICG fluorescence optimizes intraoperative vision of anatomical structures by improving blood and lymphatic *** purpose of this review was to summarize all potential applications of this upcoming technology in rectal cancer *** type of use has been separately addressed and the evidence was *** rectal resection,ICG fluorescence angiography is mainly used to evaluate the perfusion of the colonic stump in order to reduce the risk of anastomotic *** addition,ICG fluorescence imaging allows easy visualization of organs such as the ureter or urethra to protect them from *** intraoperative technology is a valuable tool for conducting lymph node dissection along the iliac lymphatic chain or to better identifying the rectal dissection planes when a transanal approach is *** is an overview of the applications of ICG fluorescence imaging in current surgical practice and a synthesis of the results obtained from the *** further studies are need to investigate the real clinical benefits,these findings may enhance use of ICG fluorescence in current clinical practice and stimulate future research on new applications.

1. Introduction1Death, mankind’s unavoidable destiny, has been considered by humans from all eras and in all places, and our discomfort in dealing with death and dying connects us across historical and geographical divides.2 Following the example set by anthropologists, scholars in other fields have begun to realize the importance of studying the reactions of diferent civilizations to the eternal problem of death, both verbally and nonverbally. Among the classic studies on the subject, the work of Robert Hertz and Ernesto De Martino merits special mention.

ASSYRIAN TREATIES: “PATCHWORK” TEXTS

The article offers a linguistic and stylistic analysis of the Neo-Assyrian treaties culled from the SAA Ⅱ(1988).The analysis focuses on defining scribal procedures in building up the text,which may then be conclusively labelled as a“patchwork.”Proceeding through the preamble,list of witnesses,and content,I explore a range of sampling which demonstrates the substantially fixed-albeit expandable-structure of the treaties'texts.I argue that this evidence shows that the structure of the treaties’texts had a great communicative efficacy thanks to its standardized character,as well as facilitated the scribes’editorial *** fixed nature of these texts was also related to the principles of the legal tradition,which itself was adapted to the historical and political circumstances of the Neo-Assyrian period.

Heat Transfer,Knock Modeling and Cyclic Variability in a “Downsized”Spark-Ignition Turbocharged Engine

In the present paper a combined procedure for the quasi-dimensional modelling of heat transfer,combustion and knock phenomena in a “downsized”Spark Ignition two-cylinder turbocharged engine is *** procedure is extended to also include the effects consequent the Cyclic *** transfer is modelled by means of a Finite Elements *** simulation is based on a fractal description of the flame front *** Variability(CV)is characterized through the introduction of a random variation on a number of parameters controlling the rate of heat release(air/fuel ratio,initial flame kernel duration and radius,laminar flame speed,turbulence intensity).The intensity of the random variation is specified in order to realize a Coefficient Of Variation(COV)of the Indicated Mean Effective Pressure(IMEP)similar to the one measured during an experimental ***,the relative importance of the various concurring effects is established on the overall COV.A kinetic scheme is then solved within the unburned gas zone,characterized by different thermodynamic conditions occurring *** this way,an optimal choice of the “knock-limited”spark advance is effected and compared with experimental ***,the CV effects on the occurrence of individual knocking cycles are assessed and discussed.

The use of superhydrophobic surfaces(SHSs) is now emerging as an attractive platform for the realization of one-dimensional(1D) nanostructures with potential applications in many nanotechnological and biotechnological *** this purpose, a strict control of the nanostructures size and their spatial arrangement is highly required. However, these parameters may be strongly dependent on the complex evaporation dynamics of the sessile droplet on the SHS. In this work, we investigated the effect of the evaporation dynamics on the size and the spatial arrangement of self-assembled 1D DNA bundles. Our results reveal that different arrangements and bundle size distributions may occur depending on droplet evaporation stage. These results contribute to elucidate the formation mechanism of 1D nanostructures on SHSs.

Genes of the AGAMOUS subfamily have been shown to play crucial roles in reproductive organ identity determination, fruit, and seed development. They have been deeply studied in eudicot species and especially in Arabidopsis. Recently, the AGAMOUS subfamily of rice has been studied for their role in flower development and an enormous amount of data has been generated. In this review, we provide an overview of these data and discuss the conservation of gene functions between rice and Arabidopsis.

Redox behavior of gold supported on ceria and ceria-zirconia based catalysts

A series of gold-based catalysts were prepared by deposition precipitation or incipient wetness impregnation on CexZ1-xO2 solid solutions （0.28≤x≤1.00）. The morphological and structural characterization of these catalysts were carried out with X-ray diffraction, trans- mission electron microscopy （TEM） analysis and physical adsorption technique, and their redox properties were studied by temperature programmed reduction using both H2 and CO as probe molecules. Two cycles of oxidation/reduction were carried out in order to evaluate the effects of redox aging and gold sintering on the oxygen exchange capability. As observed with other noble metals, gold enhanced and promoted the ceria reduction at lower temperatures. Reduction by CO was shown to be dependent on the fine dispersion of gold and to be nega- tively affected by the ageing process more than reduction with hydrogen. This might have implications in reactions like water gas shift and CO-PROX which involve CO as a main reactant.
