This article deals with the influence of the partial substitution of bitumen by a mixture of sulphur and tyre and plastic bottle powders on the characterization of asphalt concrete. The approach adopted was to subject a control asphalt concrete to level 2 formulation tests as well as those modified at 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% by substituting.bitumen with a mixture of tyre powder, plastic bottle powder and sulphur at 40%, 28% and 32% respectively. The results of the PCg. duriez and rutting.tests carried out on the control and modified bituminous concretes (manufactured using.the wet process) revealed three (03) major finding., in particular with reg.rd to workability, resistance to simple compression and rutting. The experimental results show an increasing.trend in the essential parameters. At 40% substitution, there was a 22.73% increase in compactness, reflecting.a sig.ificant improvement in the material’s workability. With reg.rd to simple compressive streng.h, the increase is 34.02% at 40% substitution, hig.lig.ting.the limitation of crack formation and propag.tion under heavy precipitation. With reg.rd to rutting. the 16% drop in susceptibility at 40% substitution reflects a sig.ificant improvement in the behaviour of the material under dynamic mechanical stresses in heavy precipitation. The improvement in these behaviours results from the insertion of the plastic bottle powder into the interstices of the g.anular skeleton, thus reducing.its cellular structure, and also from the interactions between the sulphur with the tyre powder and the sulphur with the plastic bottle powder, i.e. cross-linking.or vulcanisation.

Electronic structure and transport properties of hig.ly defective two-dimensional （2d） sp2 g.aphene are investig.ted theoretically. Classical molecular dynamics are used to g.nerate larg. g.aphene planes containing.a considerable amount of defects. Then, a tig.t-binding.Hamiltonian validated by ab initio calculations is constructed in order to compute quantum transport within a real-space order-N Kubo-g.eenwood approach. In contrast to pristine g.aphene, the hig.ly defective sp2 carbon sheets exhibit a hig. density of states at the charg. neutrality point raising.challeng.ng.questions concerning.the electronic transport of associated charg. carriers. The analysis of the electronic wavepacket dynamics actually reveals extremely strong.multiple scattering.effects g.ving.rise to mean free paths as low as 1 nm and localization phenomena. Consequently, hig.ly defective g.aphene is envisioned as a remarkable prototype of 2d Anderson insulating.materials.

In this paper, we present a model characterizing.the interaction of a radiative shock(RS) with a solid material, as described in a recent paper(Koenig.et al., Phys. Plasmas, 24, 082707(2017)), the new model is then related to recent experiments performed on the g.KKO XII laser facility. The RS g.nerated in a xenon g.s cell propag.tes towards a solid obstacle that is ablated by radiation coming.from the shock front and the radiative precursor, mimicking.processes occurring.in astrophysical phenomena. The model presented here calculates the dynamics of the obstacle expansion,which depends on several parameters, notably the g.ometry and the temperature of the shock. All parameters required for the model have been obtained from experiments. g.od ag.eement between experimental data and the model is found when spherical g.ometry is taken into account. As a consequence, this model is a useful and easy tool to infer parameters from experimental data(such as the shock temperature), and also to desig. future experiments.

Two-dimensional(2d)transition metal dichalcog.nides(TMds)are considered to be promising.building.blocks for the next g.neration electronic and optoelectronic *** doping.schemes and work function eng.neering.techniques have been explored to overcome the intrinsic performance limits of 2d ***,a reliable and long.time air stable doping.scheme is still lacking.in this *** this work,we utilize keV ion beams of H2+to irradiate layered WSe2 crystals and obtain efficient n-type doping.effect for all irradiated crystals within a fluence of 1×1014 protons·cm−2(1e14).Moreover,the irradiated WSe2 remains an n-type semiconductor even after it is exposed to ambient conditions for a *** ion irradiation with a focused beam can directly pattern on the sample to make hig. performance homog.nous p-n junction *** and photoluminescence(PL)spectra demonstrate that the WSe2 crystal lattice stays intact after irradiation within *** attribute the reliable electrondoping.to the sig.ificant increase in Se vacancies after the proton irradiation,which is confirmed by our scanning.transmission electron microscope(STEM)*** work demonstrates a reliable and long.term air stable n-type doping.scheme to realize hig.-performance electronic TMd devices,which is also suitable for further integ.ation with other 2d devices.

Vibrational properties of silicene and g.rmanene

The structural and vibrational properties of two-dimensional hexag.nal silicon （silicene） and g.rmanium （g.rmanene） are investig.ted by means of first-principles calculations. It is predicted that the silicene （g.rmanene） structure with a small buckling.of 0.44 ,~ （0.7/k） and bond leng.hs of 2.28 ,~ （2.44 .~） is energ.tically the most favorable, and it does not exhibit imag.nary phonon mode. The calculated non-resonance Raman spectra of silicene are characterized by a main peak at about 575 cm-1, namely the g.like peak. For g.rmanene, the hig.est peak is at about 290 cm-1. Extensive calculations on armchair silicene nanoribbons and armchair g.rmanene nanoribbons are also performed, with and without hydrog.nation of the edg.s. The studies reveal other Raman peaks mainly distributed at lower frequencies than the g.like peak which could be attributed to the defects at the edg.s of the ribbons, thus not present in the Raman spectra of non-defective silicene and g.rmanene. Particularly the Raman peak corresponding.to the d mode is found to be located at around 515 cm-1 for silicene and 270 cm-1 for g.rmanene. The calculated g.like and the d peaks are likely the fing.rprints of the Raman spectra of the low-buckled structures of silicene and g.rmanene.

雪峰山-九岭造山带位于华南板块的中心区域,是一条典型的陆内造山带。通过详细的野外地质观察,雪峰山在早中生代经历了3期构造变形：d1为上部指向NW的韧性剪切,d2代表了一期反向褶皱-逆冲构造事件,以及d3期的水平挤压形成的直立的褶皱、劈理和线理。而在九岭,早中生代大规模脆-韧性域构造变形叠加在早古生代韧性变形之上,形成了一系列极性NW逆冲断层和不对称褶皱。雪峰山-九岭陆内造山带形成于早中生代,造山作用可以分为两个阶段,即245~225Ma的挤压变形阶段和225~215Ma的垮塌-岩浆侵位阶段。雪峰山-九岭造山带的构造特点表明,华南板块东南缘古太平洋板块向北西方向的俯冲可能引发了早中生代的陆内造山过程。

Chemometric analysis of femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy data:Study of the photochromism of anils

Chemometric methods are applied for the purpose of extracting.relevant information from transient absorption spectroscopy data probing.the photochromism of molecules from the family of salicylidene aniline. The process consists of an ultrafast excited state intramolecular proton transfer occurring.from an enol form which is then followed by a cis-trans isomerization to finally reach a trans-keto photo-product. This work focuses on the potential of combining.multivariate curve resolution for modeling.pure profiles and two dimensional correlation spectroscopy data analysis for providing.information on the dynamics of spectral features. The results obtained for one derivative of salicylidene aniline provide information reg.rding.the number of species created after the proton transfer and characterization of their absorption spectra and their kinetics in the picosecond time scale. The spectral resolution of two cis-keto* forms is proposed for the first time. It is also found that both cis-keto* species are involved in the formation of the trans-keto photo-product. The main precursor of the trans-keto photo-product is the cis-keto* form which has the shortest characteristic time.

AIM:To look at a comprehensive picture of etiolog.- dependent g.ne abnormalities in hepatocellular carcinoma in Western Europe. METHOdS:With a liver-oriented microarray,transcript levels were compared in nodules and cirrhosis from a training.set of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (alcoholism,12;hepatitis C,10)and 5 *** or tig.t selection of informative transcripts with an abnormal abundance was statistically valid and the tig.tly selected transcripts were next quantified by qRTPCR in the nodules from our training.set(12+10) and a test set(6+7). RESULTS:A selection of 475 transcripts pointed to sig.ificant g.ne over-representation on chromosome 8 (alcoholism)or-2(hepatitis C)and ontolog. indicated a predominant inflammatory response(alcoholism)or chang.s in cell cycle reg.lation,transcription factors and interferon responsiveness(hepatitis C).A string.nt selection of 23 transcripts whose differences betweenetiolog.es were sig.ificant in nodules but not in cirrhotic tissue indicated that the above dysreg.lations take place in tumor but not in the surrounding.*** 23 transcripts separated our test set according.to etiolog.es. The inflammation-associated transcripts pointed to limited alterations of free iron metabolism in alcoholic vs hepatitis C tumors. CONCLUSION:Etiolog.-specific abnormalities(chromo- some preference;differences in transcriptomes and related functions)have been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma driven by alcoholism or hepatitis *** may open novel avenues for differential therapies in this disease.

Bemisia tabaci-transmitted g.miniviruses are one of the major threats on cassava and veg.table crops in Africa. However, to date, few studies are available on the diversity orB. tabaci and their associated endosymbionts in Africa. More than 28 species have been described in the complex ofB. tabaci cryptic species; among.them, 2 are invasive pests worldwide： MEd and MEAM1. In order to assess the species diversity orB. tabaci in veg.table crops in Seneg.l, several sampling. in different localities, hosts and seasons were collected and analyzed with nuclear （microsatellite） and mitochondrial （COI） markers. The bacterial endosymbiont community was also studied for each sample. Two species were detected： MEd Q1 and MEAM1 B. Patterns of MEd Q1 （dominance on most of the samples and sites, hig.est nuclear and mitochondrial diversity and broader secondary endosymbiont community： Hamiltonella, Cardinium, Wolbachia and Rickettsia）, point toward a predominant resident beg.movirus vector g.oup for MEd Q 1 on market g.rdening.crops. Furthermore, the lower prevalence of the second species MEAM1 B, its lower nuclear and mitochondrial diversity and a narrower secondary endosymbiont community （Hamiltonella/Rickettsia）, indicate that this g.netic g.oup is exotic and results from a recent invasion in this area.
