As an integral part of tolerance design in the context of design for six sigma, determining optimal product specifications has become the focus of increased activity, as manufacturing industries strive to increase productivity and improve the quality of their products. Although a number of research papers have been reported in the research community, there is room for improvement. Most existing research papers consider determining optimal specification limits for a single quality characteristic. In this paper, we develop the modeling and optimization procedures for optimum circular and spherical configurations by considering multiple quality characteristics. The concepts of multivariate quality loss function and truncated distribution are incorporated. This has never been adequately addressed, nor has been appropriately applied in industry. A numerical example is shown and comparison studies are made.

Background:Lower limb burns can significantly delay recovery of *** lower limb functional outcomes is challenging in the unique burn patient population and necessitates the use of reliable and valid *** aims of this study were to examine the test-retest reliability,sensitivity,and internal consistency of Sections 1 and 3 of the Lower Limb Functional Index-10(LLFI-10)questionnaire for measuring functional ability in patients with lower limb burns over ***:Twenty-nine adult patients who had sustained a lower limb burn injury in the previous 12 months completed the test-retest procedure of the *** addition,the minimal detectable change(MDC)was calculated for Section 1 and 3 of the *** 1 is focused on the activity limitations experienced by patients with a lower limb disorder whereas Section 3 involves patients indicating their current percentage of pre-injury ***:Section 1 of the LLFI-10 demonstrated excellent test-retest reliability(intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC)0.98,95%CI 0.96–0.99)whilst Section 3 demonstrated high test-retest reliability(ICC 0.88,95%CI 0.79–0.94).MDC scores for Sections 1 and 3 were 1.27 points and 30.22%,*** consistency was demonstrated with a significant negative association(rs=?0.83)between Sections 1 and 3 of the LLFI-10(p<0.001).Conclusions:This study demonstrates that Section 1 and 3 of the LLFI-10 are reliable for measuring functional ability in patients who have sustained lower limb burns in the previous 12 months,and furthermore,Section 1 is sensitive to changes in patient function over time.

＜正＞SUMMARYIn the 21st century, mental, psychological and behavioral problems will be major causes of ill health and lost productivity for China, accounting for at least one-fifth of the total burden of disease. The current mental health care system-based on expensive inpatient care provided at specialty psychiatric hospitals in urban areas-is ill-prepared to meet the coming challenges. Maintaining the psychological and behavioral health of the nation while providing high-quality care to all those who develop mental illness will require major changes in current attitudes about mental and psychological health and major reforms in the provision of mental health services. Psychological health must be seen as an integral part of overall health, and the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of mental illnesses must be viewed as the responsibility of the entire health care system and of the community, not the sole responsibility of mental health professionals. To address the growing problems of depression, substance abuse, suicide, and senile dementia, basic mental health services must be provided at all types of health institutions, community based services must be substantially expanded, and nation-wide screening and prevention campaigns must be *** and sustaining the reforms needed will not be easy. Changing attitudes requires a sustained effort by a committed group of activists, sophisticated understanding of the social and psychological factors that influence public attitudes, adequate resources and the full cooperation of the media. Changing the emphasis of mental health care from inpatient settings to outpatient and community settings and training the personnel needed to provide the new types of services requires the long-term coordinated effort of many departments and social agencies, so the active support of regional and local government leaders is absolutely essential. Background: Major burns are life threatening. Fluid resuscitation is required for survival to maintain intravascular volumes and prevent hypovolemic shock. Bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) has been recognised as a potential method of monitoring fluid shifts after burn and in other disease states. The aims of this study were to examine the reliability of BIS across different dressing conditions and electrode positions, establish the influence of Acticoat?on BIS variable measures and determine the validity of whole-body BIS to assess net fluid shift in the presence of moderate to major burns. Methods: An observational longitudinal cohort study was conducted from December 2014 to February 2016. Patients with over 15% total body surface area (TBSA) burns and injury less than 48 h were enrolled in the study. BIS triplicate measures were collected in an open wound and with an ActicoatTMdressing (at 5 half hour intervals). Standard and alternate electrode placements were utilised for the reliability analysis and standard placement only for determining the validity of BIS in moderate to major burns. The ImpediMde SFB7 was used to collect whole-body and segmental BIS measures. Stata statistical software, release 14 was utilised to analyse all results. Descriptive analyses were performed and were reported using the means and standard deviations (SD). Results: BIS-repeated measures established BIS raw resistance (R), and predicted volume variables were reliable in any condition (intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) 0.996-0.999, 95% confidence intervals (CI) 0.996-0.999) without a systematic difference. Acticoat?dressings significantly influenced all BIS-predicted volumes (p≤0.01) as determined by multilevel mixed effects (MLME) linear regression analysis. The biosynthesis of isoprenoids in plant cells occurs from precursors produced in the cytosol by the mevalonate （MVA） pathway and in the plastid by the methylerythritol 4-phosphate （MEP） pathway, but little is known about the mechanisms coordinating both pathways. Evidence of the importance of sugar signaling for such coordination in Arabi- dopsis thaliana is provided here by the characterization of a mutant showing an increased accumulation of MEP-derived isoprenoid products （chlorophylls and carotenoids） without changes in the levels of relevant MEP pathway transcripts, proteins, or enzyme activities. This mutant was found to be a new loss-of-function allele of PRL1 （Pleiotropic Regulatory Locus 1）, a gene encoding a conserved WD-protein that functions as a global regulator of sugar, stress, and hormone responses, in part by inhibition of SNFl-related protein kinases （SnRK1）. Consistent with the reported role of SnRK1 kinases in the phosphorylation and inactivation of the main regulatory enzyme of the MVA pathway （hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme-A reductase）, its activity but not transcript or protein levels was reduced in prll seedlings. However, the accumulation of MVA-derived end products （sterols） was unaltered in mutant seedlings. Sucrose supplementation to wild- type seedlings phenocopied the prll mutation in terms of isoprenoid metabolism, suggesting that the observed isoprenoid phenotypes result from the increased sugar accumulation in the prll mutant. In summary, PRL1 appears to coordinate isoprenoid metabolism with sugar, hormone, and stress responses.

Melon is as an alternative model to understand fruit ripening due to the coexistence of climacteric and non-climacteric varieties within the same species,allowing the study of the processes that regulate this complex trait with genetic *** phenotyped a population of recombinant inbred lines(RILs),obtained by crossing a climacteric(Védrantais,cantalupensis type)and a non-climcteric variety(Piel de Sapo T111,inodorus type),for traits related to climacteric maturation and ethylene *** in the RIL population exhibited various combinations of phenotypes that differed in the amount of ethylene produced,the early onset of ethylene production,and other phenotypes associated with *** characterized a major QTL on chromosome 8,ETHQV8.1,which is sufficient to activate climacteric ripening,and other minor QTLs that may modulate the climacteric *** ETHQV8.1 allele was validated by using two reciprocal introgression line populations generated by crossing Védrantais and Piel de Sapo and analyzing the ETHQV8.1 region in each of the genetic backgrounds.A Genome-wide association study(GWAS)using 211 accessions of the *** further identified two regions on chromosome 8 associated with the production of aromas,one of these regions overlapping with the 154.1 kb interval containing *** ETHQV8.1 region contains several candidate genes that may be related to fruit *** work sheds light into the regulation mechanisms of a complex trait such as fruit ripening.
