The.aim of this work was to carry out monitoring of some.e.e.e.ts conside.e. toxic in se.ime.ts from Le.ma Rive.. An analytical me.hod was optimize. in our laboratory for quantification of nicke. (Ni), cobalt (Co), mangane.e.(Mn), arse.ic (As), chromium (Cr) and le.d (Pb) by using Inductive.y Couple. Plasma Optical e.ission Spe.trome.ry (ICP-Oe.). Te. se.ime.ts we.e.colle.te. along the.Le.ma Rive. at variable.distance. and at 20 cm de.th. Sample. we.e.he.te. to 60°C to dryne.s, followe. by se.aration of particle.size.using a 74-μ No. 200 me.h for homoge.e.ty purpose.. 0.2 g of sample.unde.we.t microwave.assiste. acid dige.tion, followe. by plate.e.aporation. The.sample. we.e.dissolve. in 10 mL with HNO3 at 5% v/v for ICP-Oe. analysis. A ce.tifie. re.e.e.ce.mate.ial (CRM 8704) was use. to e.aluate.the.me.hod’s accuracy and pre.ision. The.me.hod showe. line.rity, pre.ision, accuracy, and limits of quantification and de.e.tion acce.table.for protocol validation of analytical me.hod. The.ave.age.re.ults obtaine. in re.ove.y of CRM 8704 we.e.~90% and pre.ision was be.ow 7% for all e.e.e.ts. Le.e.s conce.tration of As, Cr, Pb show high pollution in A1, A7 and A8 site.. The.e.ore. Co, Mn and Ni can be.conside.e. in this study as normal value.. In conclusion, conce.tration le.e.s of As, Cr, Pb in se.ime.ts we.e.high according to US-e.A and NOM-147-Se.ARNAT/SSA1-2004. The.pre.e.ce.of the.e.he.vy me.als in Le.ma Rive. could be.due.mainly for the.e.itte. from industrie., such as pharmace.tical, automotive. me.al me.hanics and tanne.y, and urban re.idual wate.. Finally, the.me.hod de.e.ope. using ICP-Oe. has e.able. monitoring of the.e.e.e.e.ts in se.ime.ts from Le.ma Rive., with possible.applications in a routine.analytical laboratory.
