BACKGROUND Recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)following liver transplantation(LT)has a devastating influence on recipients’survival;however,the risk of recur-rence is not routinely *** stratification is vital with a long LT waiting time,as that could influence the recurrence despite strict listing *** This study aims to identify predictors of recurrence and develop a novel risk pre-diction score to forecast HCC recurrence following *** A retrospective review of LT for HCC recipients at University Hospitals Bir-mingham between July 2011 and February *** and multivariate analyses were performed to identify recurrence predictors,based on which the novel SIMAP500(satellite nodules,increase in size,microvascular invasion,AFP>500,poor differentiation)risk score was *** 234 LTs for HCC were performed with a median follow-up of 5.3 *** developed in 25 patients(10.7%).On univariate analyses,ReTReAT score>3,α-fetoprotein(AFP)at listing 100-500 and>500,bridging,increased tumour size between imaging at the listing time and explant histology,increase in the size of viable tumour between listing and explant,presence of satellite nodules,micro-and macrovascular invasion on explant and poor differentiation of tumours were significantly associated with recurrence,based on which,the SIMAP500 risk score is *** SIMAP500 demonstrated an excellent predictive ability(c-index=0.803)and outper-formed the ReTReAT score(c-index=0.73).SIMAP500 is indicative of the time to disease *** SIMAP500 risk score identifies the LT recipients at risk of HCC *** stratification allows patient-centric post-transplant surveillance *** validation of the score is recommended.

In this study,we demonstrated the label-free continuous separation and enrichment of Bacillus subtilis populations based on length using viscoelastic ***,a gram-positive,rod-shaped bacterium,has been widely used as a model organism and an industrial *** can be arranged in different morphological forms,such as single rods,chains,and clumps,which reflect differences in cell types,phases of growth,genetic variation,and changing environmental *** ability to prepare *** populations with a uniform length is important for basic biological studies and efficient industrial ***,we systematically investigated how flow rate ratio,poly(ethylene oxide)(PeO)concentration,and channel length affected the length-based separation of *** *** lateral positions of *** cells with varying morphologies in a straight rectangular microchannel were found to be dependent on cell length under the co-flow of viscoelastic and Newtonian ***,we evaluated the ability of the viscoelastic microfluidic device to separate the two groups of *** cells by length(i.e.,1-5μm and>5μm)in terms of extraction purity(eP),extraction yield(eY),and enrichment factor(eF)and confirmed that the device could separate heterogeneous populations of bacteria using elasto-inertial effects.

Numerous studies links movement activity(e.g.,physical activity,sedentary behavior[SB],and sleep)with mental health or illness indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic;however,research has typically examined time-use behaviors independently,rather than considering daily activity as a 24-hour time-use *** cross-sec-tional study aimed to use compositional isotemporal analysis to estimate the association between reallocation of time-use behaviors and depression symptoms in young adults in ***(n=1475;68.0%of female;20.7[1.60]years)reported their time spent in moderate to vigorous physical activity(MVPA),light physical activ-ity(LPA),SB,and *** SB with sleep,LPA,and MVPA at 5,10,or 15 min was signiﬁcantly associated with lower estimated depression symptoms *** example,adding MVPA from SB at 15 min was associated with lower depression symptoms scores(estimated difference:-0.13[-0.17,-0.09]).The associations between reallocation of time use behaviors with depression symptoms scores were slightly *** results emphasize the importance of increased MVPA and decreased SB as well as their mutual replacements for lowering the risks of depression symptoms in young adults during the COVID-19 *** results can inform policy to develop effective plans and strategies for mental health promotion.

在一种实验用计算机化的系统上,对Arealometer度量的11个具有广泛细度和成熟度范围的棉样,进行了气流习性研究。对范围为0.6～0.9的孔隙度按Kozeny公式求得比表面积。观测到用孔隙度得到的纤维细度变异性是原先Arealometer所预料不到的。然而,分别在低和高试样压缩下的比表面积A与AH却和Arealometer结果非常相关。当新型的自动系统用固定孔隙度而不用类似装在Arealometer中的固定多孔塞气阻时,所得到的值具有最佳相关性。

背景：以前的血管内超声（intravascular ultrasound，IVUS）试验证实，他汀治疗可减缓或阻止动脉粥样硬化的进展，但是迄今尚无应用动脉粥样斑块体积百分比（percent atheroma volume，PAV）证实粥样硬化消退的确切证据。PAV是最严格的评价病变进展和消退的IVUS测量指标。目标：评价极高强度他汀治疗是否能逆转IVUS确定的冠状动脉粥样硬化。设计和地点：于美国、加拿大、欧洲和澳大利亚53个社区和3级保健中心进行前瞻性开标盲法终点试验（A Study to evaluate the effect of Rosuvastatin on Intravascular Ultrasound-Derived Coronary Atheroma Burden，ASTeROID）。应用马达驱动回撤IVUS评价基线和治疗24个月时冠状动脉粥样斑块负荷。每对基线和随访IVUS测量结果均进行盲法分析。病例：从2002年11月到2003年10月，507例患者有基线IVUS检查结果，并接受至少1个剂量的研究药物。在24个月后，349例患者具有可用于评估的系列IVUS检查结果。干预：所有患者均接受瑞舒伐他汀40ms／d强化治疗。主要观测指标：预先设定了两个一级疗效指标：PAV变化和基线最严重病变10min节段动脉粥样斑块体积变化。二级疗效指标为整个动脉标准化总斑块体积的变化。结果：平均（SD）LDL—C水平由基线时的130．4（34．3）ms／dL降至60．8（20．0）ms／扎，平均下降了53．2％（P〈0．001）。平均（SD）HDL-C水平从基线时的43．1（11．1）ms／dL升至49．0（12．6）ms／dL，平均增加了14．7％（P〈0．001）。整个血管PAV平均（SD）变化为-0．98％（3．15％），中位数为-0．79％（97．5％CI，-1．21％～-0．53％）（与基线比较，P〈0．001）。最严重病变10min节段斑块体积平均（SD）变化为-6．1（10．1）mm^3，中位数为-5．6mm^3（97．5％CI，-6．8～-4．0mm^3）（与基线比较，P〈0．001）。总斑块体积变化中位数降低了6．8％，平均减少了-14．7（25．7）mm^3，中位数为-12．5mm^3（95％CI，-15．1～-10．5mm^3）（与基线比较，P〈0．001）。不良事件少见，与其他他汀试验相似。结论：应用瑞舒伐他汀40ms／d进行极高强度他汀治疗可使LDL-C平均水平达到60．8ms／dL，使HDL—C增加14．7％。这导致所有3个预先设定的IVUS斑块负荷指标均显示动脉粥样硬化消退。因此，将LDL-C降至低于目前指南规定的水平，同时显著提高HDL-C，可以使冠心病患者动脉粥样硬化斑块消退。这些变化对临床预后的影响尚需进一步研究确定。
