In order to study the mechanism of angiographic coronary slow flow phenomenon (SF), intracoronary ultrasound (ICUS) and Doppler (ICD) were performed in 14 patients with angiographic SF phenomenon but with normal angiograms and in 16 patients with normal angiographic coronary flow (NF). A 3.5 F, 20 MHz ultrasound catheter (Boston Scientific) was used for ICUS and a 0.014 inch FloWire (Cardiometrics) was used for ICD. Coronary flow velocity including average peak velocity (APV), maximal peak velocity (MPV) at rest and at hyperemia as well as coronary flow reserve (CFR) were compared in both groups in comparison to the presence or absence of plaque formation based on ICUS. CFR in the SF group (4.2±1.1) was even higher than that of the NF group (3.1±0.6, P<0.001). The complex genetic architecture of quality traits has hindered efforts to modify seed nutrients in soybean. Genome-wide association studies were conducted for seed composition, including protein, oil, fatty acids, and amino acids, using 313 diverse soybean germplasm accessions genotyped with a high-density SNP array. A total of 87 chromosomal regions were identified to be associated with seed composition, explain- ing 8%-89% of genetic variances. The candidate genes GmSAT1, AK-HSDH, SACPD-C, and FAD3A of known function, and putative MtN21 nodulin, FATB, and steroid-5-^-reductase involved in N2 fixation, amino acid biosynthesis, and fatty acid metabolism were found at the major-effect loci. Further analysis of additional germplasm accessions indicated that these major-effect loci had been subjected to domes- tication or modern breeding selection, and the allelic variants and distributions were relevant to geographic regions. We also revealed that amino acid concentrations related to seed weight and to total protein had a different genetic basis. This helps uncover the in-depth genetic mechanism of the intricate relationships among the seed compounds. Thus, our study not only provides valuable genes and markers for soybean nutrient improvement, both quantitatively and qualitatively, but also offers insights into the alteration of soybean quality during domestication and breeding.

There has been a dramatic increase in medical complications related to synthetic cannabinoid (SC) use either by water pipe or vaping. The legalization of marijuana in an increasing number of states has also resulted in an increase in a number of complications related not just to marijuana, but in particular, to SC. As a result, there have been recent increased reports of acute pulmonary injury related to inhaled SC products. We describe that rarely endotracheal intubation with mechanical ventilation has been required to treat the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and the diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) associated with the acute toxicity of SC inhalation. We describe the second reported case of successful utilization of mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in order to treat acute pulmonary toxicity caused by SC inhalation by a water pipe. While the exact pathophysiology of these interesting and recent pulmonary complications is unknown, the recent increase in exposure to SC via water pipe systems and vaping suggests that there will be many more cases of patients that will require ECMO as a form of life-saving therapy.

Ziel ist die Analyse der Neigungslage des Beckens im Liegen und im Stehen bzw. die Beobachtung der Stabilitaet der Beckenflaeche als Bezugsflaeche für die Acetabulum-Prothese- Transplantation. 72 Testpersonen wurden je nach Status ihres Pfannengelenks in 3 Gruppen eingeteilt：Gruppe 1 ＂mit gesundem Pfannengelenk＂, Gruppe 2 ＂mit Arthritis＂ und Gruppe 3 ＂nach Implantation der Hüftendoprothese＂. Unter dem Einsatz von 3D- Digital-Instrument wurde die Flaechen-Neigung vor dem Becken jeweils im Liegen und im Stehen gemessen und die Messwerte wurden verglichen. Die Flaechen-Neigungen vor dem Becken bei allen 3 Gruppen （mit gesundem Pfannengelenk/mit Arthritis/nach Operation） im Liegen sind： 6.37° ± 3.70°, 6.47°± 3.52° und 4. 56°± 2.39°. Im Stehen sind es 7.33°±3.08°, 6.60°±3.45° und 6.74°±3.43°. Der Flaechen-Neigungsunterschied vor dem Becken im Liegen und im Stehen hat keine grosse Bedeutung （P〉0.05）. Die Aenderung der Flaechen-Neigung vor dem Becken vom Liegen bis zum Stehen ist kleiner als 2.5°. Die Faeche vor dem Becken （pelvic anterior plane, PAP） als Bezugsflaeche for Hüftpfanne-Prothese- Transplantation bei klinischer Operation ist stabil und verlaeiBlich.
