Herein,we demonstra.e the fa.rica.ion of sub-20 nm MoS_(2) horizonta. na.owire a.ra.s on silicon substra.es using a.self-a.sembled block copolymer a.sisted in situ inclusion *** sepa.a.ed long-ra.ge ordered polystyrene-b-polyethylene oxide(PS-b-PEO)block copolymer(BCP)line-spa.e na.opa.terns were a.hieved through thermo-solvent *** pa.terns produced ha. long-ra.ge order a.d doma.n sizes>1μ*** BCP structures were lightly etched a.d modified by a.hydrous etha.ol to fa.ilita.e insertion of molybdenum precursor within the film ma.nta.ning the pa.ent BCP *** ordered molybdenum oxide na.owire a.ra.s were then fa.rica.ed by ultra.iolet(UV)/ozone trea.ment a. room *** oxides were converted to sulphides by therma. eva.ora.ion a. different tempera.ures in a./H_(2) environment.X-ra. photoelectron spectroscopy revea.ed the composition a.d pha.es of the molybdenum oxide a.d sulphide *** ma.ping wa. performed to investiga.e the interfa.es between the oxide a.d sulphide na.owires with the substra.e *** forma.ion a.d sta.ility of the sulphide na.owires were studied a. different *** photoluminescence a.d Ra.a. properties were studied a. different forma.ion tempera.ures to investiga.e defects a.d estima.e the number of la.ers.
