High product quality is one of key demands of customers in the field of manufacturing such as computer numerical control(CNC)*** monitoring and prediction is of great importance to assure high-quality or zero defect *** this work,we consider roughness parameter Ra,profile deviation Pt and roundness deviation RONt of the machined products by a ***,these three parameters are much related to the machine spindle parameters of preload,temperature,and rotations per minute(RPMs),while in this paper,spindle vibration and cutting force are taken as inputs and used to predict the three quality *** spectral density(PSD)based feature extraction,the method to generate compact and well-correlated features,is proposed in details in this *** the efficient features,neural network based machine learning technique turns out to be able to result in high prediction accuracy with R2 score of 0.92 for roughness,0.86 for profile,and 0.95 for roundness.

Recent findings indicate the presence of T cell receptor(TCR)-based combinatorial immune receptors beyond T cells in neutrophils and monocytes/*** this study,using a semiquantitative trilineage immune repertoire sequencing approach as well as under rigorous bioinformatic conditions,we identify highly complex TCRβtranscriptomes in human circulating monocytes and neutrophils that separately encode repertoire diversities one and two orders of magnitude smaller than that of T *** transcriptomic analyses reveal that neutrophils,monocytes,and T cells express distinct TCRβrepertoires with less than 0.1%overall trilineage repertoire *** comparison shows that in all three leukocyte lineages,the vast majority of the expressed TCRβvariants are *** also find that differentiation of monocytes into macrophages induces dramatic individual-specific repertoire shifts,revealing a surprising degree of immune repertoire plasticity in the monocyte *** results uncover the remarkable complexity of the two phagocyte-based flexible immune systems which until now has been hidden in the shadow of T cells.

Since the half of the XX century,attention was given to the instability of structures under parametric excitation,especially under periodic *** the other hand,the instability of bars subjected to axial loads of impulsive type has been little studied,in spite of the practical importance of the ***,in Engineering Design it is frequently supposed,without tests or additional verifications,that an axial load of short duration can exceed the Euler critical load of the bar without inducing damage in the *** this context,this paper proposes the use of the truss-like Discrete Element Method(DEM)for determining the dynamic response of elastic straight bars subjected to axial loads defined by pulses of short *** proposed approach allows the consideration of initial imperfections,as well as large displacements and other non-linear *** influence of the pulse duration and other effects in the response of the bar are also ***,the performance of the proposed methodology is verified in static and dynamic instability problems of homogeneous bars without geometrical imperfections,by comparing the DEM results with analytical solutions available in the *** that,the DEM is employed to analyze more complex cases,including bars with initial imperfections and non-homogeneous bars,in which material properties,as Young’s modulus and mass density,are assumed to be correlated Gaussian random *** proposed methodology has proven to be a useful and easy tool for analysis of dynamic instability of bars and could therefore be used by designers for estimating the dynamic buckling load.

Leptin/leptin receptor system in the regulation of reproductive functions and stress response in the European beaver

The European beaver (Castor fiber L.) is the largest free-living rode nt in Eurasia. The prese nt work aimed to determi ne sex- and seas on-related cha nges in leptin receptor (Ob-R) expression in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal/adrenal axes and uterus of beavers during breeding-(April), postbreeding-(July), and pre-breeding-(November) periods. The expression of Ob-R gene and protein was found in all analyzed tissues. The expression of Ob-R mRNA remained constant in the hypothalamus of both sexes during the analyzed stages. Sex- and season-related changes were found in the pituitary gland;the greatest level was observed in July in both sexes. The same expression pattern was noted in the testis, whereas in the ovary a lack of seasonal changes was found. In uterine tissues, the greatest expression occurred in November. The impact of season was also demonstrated in the adrenal cortex. In females, a higher Ob-R transcript level was noted in April, while in males, an increased mRNA abundanee was noted in November than July. Our study suggests that in the beaver, leptin acting via the Ob-R can be an important endocrine factor engaged in the regulation of reproductive functions and stress response.

This work focuses on integrated reporting as an element of companies＇ communication with the external environment. It shows the place and role of integrated reporting in system of communication with various stakeholders and with investors in particular. It also proposes that integrated reporting is a concise communication tool depicting how an organization＇s strategy, governance, performance, and prospects lead to the creation of value over the short, medium, and long term. This means an integrated representation of a company＇s performance in terms of financial and other value relevant information. Thus, integrated reporting goes beyond the traditionally understood business financial reporting. The main aim of this paper is to explain the concept of integrated reporting and to identify the role and place of this reporting type in the system of corporate communication. An additional aim is to show the development of integrated reporting in Poland which is a relatively new EU member as well as emerging market. In conclusion, the considerations stated that the report integrated--as a report integrating financial and non-financial content, covering both past and future （which facilitates decision making）--can effectively satisfy the information needs of investors. In Poland, unfortunately, integrated reporting is not widely used. A company which produces integrated reports is based on different standards. This hampers the comparability of these reports and thus reduces their use by stakeholders. In consequence, the information needs of stakeholders are not satisfactorily addressed.

Spatial frequency shift(SFS) microscopy with evanescent wave illumination shows intriguing advantages, including large field of view(FOV), high speed, and good modularity. However, a missing band in the spatial frequency domain hampers the SFS superresolution microscopy from achieving resolution better than 3 folds of the Abbe diffraction limit. Here, we propose a novel tunable large-SFS microscopy, making the resolution improvement of a linear system no longer restricted by the detection numerical aperture(NA). The complete wide-range detection in the spatial frequency domain is realized by tuning the illumination spatial frequency actively and broadly through an angle modulation between the azimuthal propagating directions of two evanescent waves. The vertical spatial frequency is tuned via a sectional saturation effect, and the reconstructed depth information can be added to the lateral superresolution mask for 3D imaging. A lateral resolution of λ/9, and a vertical localization precision of ~λ/200(detection objective NA = 0.9) are realized with a gallium phosphide(GaP) waveguide. Its unlimited resolution enhancing capability is demonstrated by introducing a designed metamaterial chip with an unusual large refractive index. Besides the great resolution enhancement, this method shows better anti-noise capability than classical structured illumination microscopy without SFS tunability. This method is chip-compatible and can potentially provide a massproducible illumination chip module achieving the fast, large-FOV, and deep-subwavelength 3D nanoscopy.

Creative Accounting Does not Need to Equal Falsification of Accounts

The aim of this paper is to present different aspects of creativity in accounting. Firstly, since creative accounting allows to present a company＇s financial condition in a more favourable light, the ＂advantages＂ of this creativity are identified. This is followed by the enumeration of negative aspects of creative accounting, to illustrate how creativity in accounting may help to falsify the true picture of a company＇s business. Next, the concept of creative accounting and aggressive accounting （the latter, identified rightly, with a financial and accounting fraud） is explained. Finally, methods that are commonly used to falsify accounts, as well as the premises for and the circumstances in which such criminal practices occur, are presented. The paper draws on the results of other scientific works （books and articles published in scientific journals） in which the main and most interesting views of other authors have been presented. A critical analysis method was employed, followed by a comparison of legal texts and legal acts. The scientific conclusion was conducted using the deduction, and, partially, the induction method. It has been shown that it is justified to differentiate in accounting between creativity that is allowable within the established legal limits and practice based upon the use of creativity in a manner contrary to law. Further, it has been concluded that where creativity in accounting goes beyond the limits unambiguously established by the law, it definitely carries attributes of an offence. It has been also noted that due to continuous changes in the functioning conditions of enterprises, the above mentioned limits cannot be fixed or rigid. Thus it is necessary to control and analyse the creativity of accounting and financial staff working in enterprises in order to adapt the binding regulations to the needs of current markets.
