Winter extreme precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau influenced by Arctic sea ice on interdecadal timescale

The Tibetan Plateau(TP)and the Arctic are the most sensitive regions to global climate ***,the interdecadal varibility of winter extreme precipitation over the TP and its linkage with Arctic sea ice are still *** this study,the characteristics and mechisnems of the TP extreme precipitation(TPEP)influenced by Arctic sea ice on interdecadal timescale are studied based on the daily precipitation,monthly sea ice concentration and ERA5 reanalysis data from 1980 to *** found that the dominant mode of the TPEP in winter mostly exhibits a uniform spatial variation on the interdecadal timescale,with an opposite weak variation in the southeastern TP,and the Arctic sea ice concentration(SIC)before 2002 are larger than that after *** interdecadal variation of TPEP is affected by two teleconnection wave trains regulated by the Barents and Kara Sea *** the light ice years,a remarkable positive geopotential height(HGT)anomaly appears over the Barents-Kara Sea and a remarkable negative HGT anomaly is located over the Lake *** wave trains originating over the Barents-Kara Sea can be *** southern branch forms a wave train through the North Atlantic along the subtropical westerly jet stream,showing a‘+-+-+'pattern of HGT anomalies from Arctic to the *** HGT anomaly controls the western TP,which creates dynamic and water vapor conditions for the *** northern branch forms a wave train through the Lake Baikal and the southeast of the TP,showing a‘+-+'HGT anomaly *** HGT anomaly controls the southeastern TP,which is not conducive to precipitation in the *** the SIC in the Barents-Kara Sea increases,the situation is *** above analysis also reveals the reason for the difference in the east-west distribution of the TPEP.

青藏高原是全球气候变暖最敏感的地区之一,是北半球夏季最大的热源,其气候响应受到广泛关注。然而,有关南极涛动与青藏高原夏季气温的关系和机理知之甚少。为了研究南极涛动与青藏高原夏季气温的关系,基于1979—2020年英国东安哥拉大学气候研究中心(CRU)的逐月气温、美国国家海洋和大气管理局(NOAA)的逐月海表面温度和大气环流再分析数据以及南极涛动指数等数据,采用相关、回归、合成分析等方法进行研究。结果表明,北半球夏季青藏高原西部气温与5月南极涛动存在显著负相关,即当5月南极涛动异常偏弱时,夏季青藏高原西部气温异常偏高。其影响过程为,南极涛动为正位相时,在南印度洋中高纬地区出现“负-正-负”的经向“三极子”海温模态,该模态可持续到夏季,在印度洋形成异常的纬向-垂直环流,相应在热带西印度洋和东印度洋-海洋性大陆之间的降水异常导致热带正“偶极子”降水模态,通过该降水模态在青藏高原西部引起异常反气旋环流和下沉运动,有利于高原西部气温偏高。研究结果显示,海洋的热惯性在“延长”南极涛动影响过程中起着重要的桥梁作用,可为青藏高原夏季气温预测提供科学依据。

Potential role of nuclear receptor ligand all-trans retinoic acids in the treatment of fungal keratitis

·Fungal keratitis(FK) is a worldwide visual impairment disease. This infectious fungus initiates the primary innate immune response and, later the adaptive immune response. The inflammatory process is related to a variety of immune cells, including macrophages, helper T cells, neutrophils, dendritic cells, and Treg cells, and is associated with proinflammatory, chemotactic and regulatory cytokines. All-trans retinoic acids(ATRA)have diverse immunomodulatory actions in a number of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. These retinoids regulate the transcriptional levels of target genes through the activation of nuclear *** acid receptor α(RAR α), retinoic acid receptor γ(RAR γ), and retinoid X receptor α(RXR α) are expressed in the cornea and immune cells. This paper summarizes new findings regarding ATRA in immune and inflammatory diseases and analyzes the perspective application of ATRA in FK.

基于CARAH模型的重庆春马铃薯晚疫病侵染特征模拟分析

马铃薯晚疫病是影响马铃薯产量的首要病害,研究其在山地立体气候条件下的发生流行特征具有重要意义。本文利用重庆地区260个地面气象观测站2019年-2023年小时级温湿度数据,采用CARAH模型模拟分析了春马铃薯晚疫病侵染频度、严重程度、关键侵染周期等时空特征,并采用巫溪县2022年马铃薯田间小气候监测数据对模拟精度进行了检验。结果表明,采用小时级地面气象观测数据模拟的晚疫病侵染空报率、漏报率均在20%以内,整体精度较佳。5年气象数据模拟结果显示,重庆地区气候条件有利于春马铃薯晚疫病的发生发展,早、晚熟品种栽培期普遍发生4~8代(11~20次)、8~12代(21~40次)侵染;严重程度呈现“两极化”特点,轻度和极重度侵染次数具有明显优势。第3代第1次和第5代第1次2个关键侵染周期的开始期分别在3月上旬至4月下旬、3月下旬至5月中旬,高峰期分别为3月下旬和4月中旬。春马铃薯晚疫病侵染的空间分异特征明显,东北部主产区侵染代数、次数、极重度侵染次数均少于其他产区,是晚疫病发生最轻的地区。关键侵染周期的开始时间随海拔升高而推迟,中西部丘陵低山地区早,东部武陵山与大巴山区晚。

Molecular mechanism of the inhibition effect of Lipoxin A4 on corneal dissolving pathology process

AIM:Excessive dissolve of corneal tissue induced by MMPs which were activated by cytokins and chemokines will lead to corneal ulcer. The molecular mechanism of Lipoxin A4 (LXA4) on corneal collagen degradation in three dimensions was investigated. ·METHODS:Rabbit corneal fibroblasts were harvested and suspended in serum -free MEM. Type I collagen, DMEM, collagen reconstitution buffer and corneal fibroblast suspension were mixed on ice. The resultant mixture solidified in an incubator, after which test reagents and plasminogen was overlaid and the cultures were returned to the incubator. The supernatants from collagen gel incubations were collected and the amount of hydroxyproline in the hydrolysate was measured. Immunoblot analysis of MMP-1,-3 and TMMP-1,-2 was performed. MMP-2, -9 was detected by the method of Gelatin zymography. Cytotoxicity assay was measured. RESULTS:LXA4 inhibited corneal collagen degradation in a dose and time manner. LXA4 inhibited the IL -1β induced increases in the pro-MMP-1, -2, -3, -9 and active MMP -1,-2,-3,-9 in a concentration dependent manner. LXA4 also inhibited the IL-1β induced increases in TIMP-1, -2. CONCLUSION:As a potent anti-inflammation reagent, LXA4 can inhibit corneal collagen degradation induced by IL-1β in corneal fibroblasts thus inhibiting corneal dissolving pathology process.

为掌握重庆水稻生育期连阴雨的发生规律与成因,科学指导水稻生产防灾减灾,基于1991—2020年重庆市气象资料、水稻生育期观测资料及再分析资料,研究重庆水稻不同种植区及不同生育期的连阴雨气候特征和大气环流特征。结果表明,重庆各种植区全生育期的连阴雨均呈减少趋势,其中,中部减少趋势最明显,连阴雨发生站次比气候倾向率为-0.33·(10 a)^(-1);东南部连阴雨发生站次比最高,达1.18,但减少趋势最弱;东北部连阴雨发生站次比最低,仅0.55,且预计阴雨灾害将进一步减少。水稻营养生长期的连阴雨发生频次最高,生殖生长期最低。空间分布上,水稻全生育期连阴雨发生频次东南部最高,单点最大值达1.80;东北部最低,单点最小值仅0.27;高值区分布在重庆偏南区域,不同生育期略有差异;而低值区始终位于东北部。连阴雨发生最为频繁的营养生长期,各地区均受负位势高度异常控制,南北位势高度梯度减小,冷空气南下易导致连阴雨发生。连阴雨发生频次最高的重庆东南部,水汽起源于太平洋,由副热带高压外围的东南暖湿气流提供。营养生长期的水汽输送带相比苗期更偏南,呈西南向分布。

With global surge in reservoir construction over the past decades,river systems worldwide have been profoundly ***,flow manipulation by reservoirs has altered the natural hydrological processes,resulting in extensive modifications of fluvial-marine *** the adverse ecological consequences of reservoirs has become a global concern and has garnered increasing *** Yellow River,as one of the most extensively manipulated river systems globally,has experienced substantial changes in the amount and timing of water discharge due to the presence of numerous reservoirs scattered throughout its catchment *** alterations have caused physicochemical changes in the estuary and subsequent modifications to the estuarine *** recent years,the Yellow River Conservancy Committee initiated the release of water through the Xiaolangdi Dam during the major spawning period of fisheries,specifically in the spring,with the aim of improving the estuarine ecological *** 2011 to 2020,a total of 84.05 km^(3)of water was discharged from the Xiaolangdi Reservoir during spring seasons,of which 40%(33.16 km^(3))constituted water impounded within the reservoir during preceding ***,the spring water discharge from the Yellow River to the sea increased significantly from 1.50 km^(3)/yr to 3.46 km^(3)/yr in the past decade,leading to a decrease in estuarine salinity by 1.6 *** estuarine fishery resources,such as fish eggs in the Yellow River estuary,have demonstrated evident *** reservoir regulation in the Yellow River,which has successfully enhanced spring water discharge and subsequently restored estuarine fishery resources,presents an effective attempt for mitigating the adverse ecological effects associated with reservoirs.

Multi-wavelength Brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser with 40 GHz frequency shift interval assisted by Sagnac loop filter

A switchable and tunable multi-wavelength Brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser(MWBEFL) is designed and experimentally demonstrated. A Sagnac loop filter is employed as the switcher to obtain the double Brillouin frequency shift(BFS) of 0.172 nm(~20 GHz) and the quadruple BFS of 0.35 nm(~40 GHz). The working principles of the proposed laser are theoretically analyzed. The experimental results show that up to 8 Stokes lines with a wavelength interval of 0.172 nm can be obtained. When the Sagnac loop filter is used, two different output spectra with wavelength interval of 0.35 nm are obtained by adjusting the polarization controller(PC) and the optical signal-to-noise ratio(OSNR) is greater than 33 dB. By adjusting the Brillouin pump(BP) wavelength to investigate the tunability of the fiber laser, the output of 2—5 laser channels can be realized corresponding to 20 nm wavelength range. This approach is simple and can be employed for the microwave generation of other frequency ranges subject to the filtering shift of the Sagnac loop.

Advances in regional nodal management of early-stage breast cancer

With the continuous improvement of systemic treatment, reasonable local regional control of early-stage breast cancer can be translated into survival benefits. The optimization of regional nodal management in patients with limited sentinel lymph node(SLN) metastasis needs to be weighed by surgical complications, regional recurrence risk, and lymph node status, as well as other escalating treatment(systemic/radiotherapy) that may result from deescalating surgery. With the effective support and supplementation of systemic therapy and radiotherapy, the management of axillary surgery is developing in a de-escalating trend. The widespread application of neoadjuvant therapy has contributed to optimizing the management of patients with clinically node-negative/imaging nodepositive disease. In clinical practice, it is necessary to consider the residual tumor burden of regional lymph nodes when formulating the optimal irradiation fields in patients with limited positive SLN without axillary lymph node dissection. The combined application of genomic tests and American College of Surgeons Oncology Group Z0011/AMAROS criteria could provide patients with a better strategy of dual de-escalation treatment, which includes the de-escalation of both axillary surgery and systemic treatment. In the era of sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB), the regional nodal management of breast cancer should adhere to the concept of “updating ideas, making bold assumptions, and carefully seeking proof”, make full use of the benefits of systemic therapy and radiotherapy to reduce the scope of surgery and complications, and expand the “net benefit” of efficacy and quality of life. This review discusses the optimization of regional nodal management in the era of SLNB, in order to provide reference information for clinicians.
