Influence of Na_(2)SiO_(3)/NaOH Ratio on Calcined Magnesium Silicate Based Geopolymer——Experimental and Predictive Study

This study aims to investigate the behavior of alkali activated mortar,which is made of naturally available magnesium silicate as source *** magnesium silicate,ultrafine natural steatite powder(UFNSP)is used as the primary source of binder,and the activation is initiated through the alkali liquid which is proportioned in various combinations of silicate to hydroxide ratio(Na_(2)SiO_(3)/Na OH)ratio,and this ratio in this study varies from 1 to *** UFNSP is calcined at two difierent temperatures,700 and 1000℃.The mortar mix is proportioned as 1:3 between powder and the fine aggregate,and the mortar is prepared with hydroxide molarity(M)of 10 *** mortar is cured for 48 hours at 60℃and the compressive strength was *** the mix were studied for its microstructural behavior along with compressive *** mix proportion of the mortar,and the results obtained through microstructural characterization were combinedly formed as input for artificial neural network(ANN)predictive *** model is designed to predict the compressive strength,which is trained through Bayesian regularization algorithm with varying hidden neurons of 7 to *** experimental and predictive study shows that the strength is influenced by both Na_(2)SiO_(3)/Na OH ratio and calcination *** the ANN is influenced by mainly calcination temperature and uncorrelation occurs in selected samples of 1000℃calcined UFNSP mix.

Dopant redistribution in a silicon nanowire （SiNW） p-n junction is found to occur owing to self-heating effects. A SiNW is doped to form back-to-back diodes and is thermally isolated by an oxide layer on its bottom side and by air on the other sides. When a high level of current flows, the inner body temperature is found to increase enough to cause dopant diffusion and even to reach the silicon melting point due to Joule heating. This experimentally observed electrothermal behavior is also validated through numerical simulation. The conductivity change is dependent on the total power density and the change becomes permanent once the device suffers self-heating beyond a threshold point. Finally, the dopant redistribution is directly visualized using scanning capacitance microscopy for the first time.

This work presents a machine-learning(ML)algorithm for maximum power point tracking(MPPT)of an isolated photovoltaic(PV)*** to the dynamic nature of weather conditions,the energy generation of PV systems is *** there is no specific method for effectively dealing with the non-linear data,the use of ML methods to operate the PV system at its maximum power point(MPP)is desirable.A strategy based on the decision-tree(DT)regression ML algorithm is proposed in this work to determine the MPP of a PV *** data were gleaned from the technical specifications of the PV module and were used to train and test the *** algorithms predict the maximum power available and the associated voltage of the module for a defined amount of irradiance and *** boost converter duty cycle was determined using predicted *** simulation was carried out for a 10-W solar panel with a short-circuit current of 0.62 A and an open-circuit voltage of 21.50 V at 1000 W/m^(2) irradiance and a temperature of 25℃.The simulation findings demonstrate that the proposed method compelled the PV panel to work at the MPP predicted by DTs compared to the existing topologies such asβ-MPPT,cuckoo search and artificial neural network *** the proposed algorithm,efficiency has been improved by>93.93%in the steady state despite erratic irradiance and temperatures.
