Cervical uterine cancer represents the fourth most common malignant neoplasm worldwide in the female sex in terms of incidence, principally from epithelial origen. The high expression of EGFR in this tumor leads to the search for therapeutic alternatives. An Expanded Access Clinical Program was carried out in parallel groups, randomized, multicenter and prospective study, to evaluate the survival of patients with advanced cervical carcinoma, without therapeutic alternative, who would be treated with the therapeutic vaccine CIMAvax-EGF®, the humanized mAb nimotuzumab or the combination of both products, which targeted EGF and EGFR respectively. The patients were included between 2008 and 2010 with a more than five years follow-up. The aim of this work is to predict,for the first time,the high temperature flow stress dependency with the grain size and the underlaid deformation mechanism using two machine learning models,random forest(RF)and artificial neural network(ANN).With that purpose,a ZK30 magnesium alloy was friction stir processed(FSP)using three different severe conditions to obtain fine grain microstructures(with average grain sizes between 2 and 3μm)prone to extensive superplastic *** three friction stir processed samples clearly deformed by grain boundary sliding(GBS)deformation mechanism at high *** maximum elongations to failure,well over 400% at high strain rate of 10^(-2)s^(-1),were reached at 400℃ in the material with coarsest grain size of 2.8μm,and at 300℃ for the finest grain size of 2μ***,the superplastic response decreased at 350℃ and 400℃ due to thermal instabilities and grain coarsening,which makes it difficult to assess the operative deformation mechanism at such *** work highlights that the machine learning models considered,especially the ANN model with higher accuracy in predicting flow stress values,allow determining adequately the superplastic creep behavior including other possible grain size scenarios.

This work investigates the effect of solid solution on ductility and on the activation of individual deformation mechanisms at moderate temperatures and at quasi-static strain rates in Mg-Zn and Mg-Al alloys. With that aim, four solid solution Mg-Zn and Mg-Al binary alloy ingots containing 1 and 2 wt.% solute atoms were subjected to hot rolling and subsequent annealing to generate polycrystals with similar average grain size and basal-type texture for each composition. The activity of the different slip systems after tensile testing at 150°C and at 250°C was evaluated in pure Mg and in the alloys by EBSD-assisted slip trace analysis. In addition, segregation of Zn and Al atoms at grain boundaries during the thermo-mechanical processing was characterized by HAADF-STEM and EDX. It was found that while the addition of Al and Zn atoms to pure Mg does not lead to major changes in the mechanical strength at the investigated temperatures, it does enhance ductility significantly, especially at 250℃. Our results show that this increase in ductility cannot be attributed to a higher activation of non-basal systems in the alloys, as reported earlier, as the incidence of non-basal systems is indeed considerably higher in pure Mg. This work suggests, on the contrary, that the ductility increase may be attributed to the presence of a more homogenous basal activity in the alloys due to a lower degree of orientation clustering, to grain boundary solute segregation, and to a higher slip diffusivity at grain interiors.

The 7075 Al alloy was processed by accumulative roll bonding （ARB） at 350 ℃ using 2：1, 3：1 and 4：1 thickness reductions per pass （Rp） up to 8, 6 and 3 passes, respectively. Microstructural examinations of the processed samples revealed that ARB leads to a microstructure composed of equiaxed crystallites with a mean size generally lower than 500 nm. It was found that, due to both the stored energy through- out the processing and the particle pinning effect, the alloy is affected by discontinuous recrystallisation during the inter-pass heating stages, the precise microstructural evolution being dependent on Rp. Me- chanical testing of the ARBed samples revealed that the main active deformation mechanism in the ARBed samples in the temperature range from 250 to 350 ℃ at intermediate and high strain rates is grain bound- ary sliding, the superplastic properties being determined by both the microstructure after ARB and its thermal stability.

Modelling of shallow landslides with machine learning algorithms

The promiscuous conjugation machinery of the Gram-negative plasmid RP4 has been reassembled in a minimized, highlytransmissible vector for propagating genetically encoded traits through diverse types of naturally occurring microbialcommunities. To this end, the whole of the RP4-encoded transfer determinants (tra, mob genes, and origin of transfer oriT)was excised from their natural context, minimized, and recreated in the form of a streamlined DNA segment borne by anautoselective replicon. The resulting constructs (the pMATING series) could be self-transferred through a variety ofprokaryotic and eukaryotic recipients employing such a rationally designed conjugal delivery device. Insertion of GFP reporterinto pMATING exposed the value of this genetic tool for delivering heterologous genes to both specific mating partners andcomplex consortia (e.g., plant/soil rhizosphere). The results accredited the effective and functional transfer of the recombinantplasmids to a diversity of hosts. Yet the inspection of factors that limit interspecies DNA transfer in such scenarios uncoveredtype VI secretion systems as one of the factual barriers that check otherwise high conjugal frequencies of tested RP4derivatives. We argue that the hereby presented programming of hyperpromiscuous gene transfer can become a phenomenalasset for the propagation of beneficial traits through various scales of the environmental microbiome.
