The synthesis of boronic-imine structured compounds and identification of their anticancer, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities

Boronic acid compounds with different substituted groups were handled to synthesize various ligands encoded as B1, B2, B3, B4, BS, B6, B7 and BS. B5 and B7 were tested for the cytotoxic activity against the prostate cancer cells and it was found that the cell viability of cancer cells was decreased while most of the healthy cells could still be viable. 5 μM solutions of B5 and B7 decreased the cell viability to 33% and 44%; whereas healthy cells were 71% and 95%, respectively, after treatment. Antimicrobial properties were explored against the bacterial and fungal microorganisms with B1, B5 and BZ The inhibition zones were evaluated for all boronic structures, and the growth inhibition zones were determined in a range of 7-13 mm diameter for different microorganism species. Staphylococcus aureus was the common micro- organism that three boronic compounds with imine ligands showed the activity. Antioxidant features of B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7 and B8 were investigated by different processes such as Beta-carotene bleaching （BCB）, 2,2-diphenyl picryl hydrazyl （DPPH）, 2,2″-azino-bis（ 3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid）（ABTS） and CUPric reducing antioxidant capacity （CLIPRAC） methods. Significant antioxidant activity was achieved by the phenyl boronic based ligands and these compounds demonstrated as much activity as standards （α-Toc and BHT）. In addition, all structures were applied properly without any decomposition during the experiments. They were rather stable both in aqueous media and solid state.

The design and application of morphing systems are ongoing issues compelling the aviation *** Clean Sky-program represents the most significant aeronautical research ever launched in Europe on advanced technologies for greening next-generation *** primary purpose of the program is to develop new concepts aimed at decreasing the effects of aviation on the environment,increasing reliability,and promoting eco-friendly *** ambitions are pursued through research on enabling technologies fostering noise and gas emissions reduction,mainly by improving aircraft aerodynamic *** the Clean Sky framework,a multimodal morphing flap device was designed based on tight industrial requirements and tailored for large civil aircraft *** flap is deployed in one unique setting,and its cross section is morphed differently in take-off and landing to get the necessary extra lift for the specific flight ***,during the cruise,the tip of the flap is deflected for load control and induced drag *** manufacturing the first flap prototype,a high-speed(Ma=0.3),large-scale test campaign(geometric scale factor 1:3)was deemed necessary to validate the performance improvements brought by this novel system at the aircraft *** the other hand,the geometrical scaling of the flap prototype was considered impracticable due to the unscalability of the embedded mechanisms and actuators for shape ***,a new architecture was conceived for the flap model to comply with the scaled dimensions requirements,withstand the relevant loads expected during the wind tunnel tests and emulate the shape transition capabilities of the true-scale *** strategies were developed to effectively morph the model during wind tunnel tests while ensuring the robustness of each morphed configuration and maintaining adequate stiffness levels to prevent undesirable deviations from the intended aerodynamic ***,

We integrated Enviro-HIRLAM(Environment-High Resolution Limited Area Model)meteorological output into FLEXPART(FLEXible PARTicle dispersion model).A FLEXPART simulation requires meteorological input from a numerical weather prediction(NWP)*** publicly available version of FLEXPART can utilize either ECMWF(European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts)Integrated Forecast System(IFS)forecast or reanalysis NWP data,or NCEP(*** Center for Environmental Prediction)Global Forecast System(GFS)forecast or reanalysis NWP *** primary benefits of using Enviro-HIRLAM are that it runs at a higher resolution and accounts for aerosol effects in meteorological *** compared backward trajectories gener-ated with FLEXPART using Enviro-HIRLAM(both with and without aerosol effects)to trajectories generated using NCEP GFS and ECMWF IFS meteorological inputs,for a case study of a heavy haze event which occurred in Beijing,China in November *** found that results from FLEXPART were considerably different when using different meteorological *** aerosol effects were included in the NWP,there was a small but noticeable differ-ence in calculated ***,when looking at potential emission sensitivity instead of simply expressing trajectories as lines,additional information,which may have been missed when looking only at trajectories as lines,can be inferred.

Tool life modeling for evaluating the effects of cutting speed and reinforcements on the machining of particle reinforced metal matrix composites

The wear of cutting tools in the machining of 2024Al alloy composites reinforced with Al2O3 particles using varying sizes and volume fractions of particles up to 23.3vol% was investigated by a turning process using coated carbide tools K10 and TP30 at different cut- ting speeds. Machining tests were performed with a plan of experiments based on the Taguchi method. The tool life model was developed in terms of cutting speed, size, and volume fraction of particles by multiple linear regressions. The analysis of variance （ANOVA） was also employed to carry out the effects of these parameters on the cutting tool life. The test results show that the tool life decreases with the increase of cutting speed for both cutting tools K10 and TP30, and the tool life of the K10 tool is significantly longer than that of the TP30 tool. For the tool life, cutting speed is found to be the most effective factor followed by particle content and particle size, respectively. The predicted tool life of cutting tools is found to be in very good agreement with the experimentally observed ones.

Aerodynamics of non-slender delta and reverse delta wings:Wing thickness,anhedral angle and cropping ratio

The effects of thickness-to-chord(t=c)ratio,anhedral angle(d),and cropping ratio from trailing-edge(Cr%)on the aerodynamics of non-slender reverse delta wings in comparison to non-slender delta wings with sweep angle of 45°were characterized in a low-speed wind tunnel using force and pressure *** measurements were conducted for total of 8 different delta and reverse delta *** different t/c ratios of 5.9%and 1.1%,and two different anhedral angles ofd=15°and 30°for non-cropped and cropped at Cr=30%conditions were *** results indicate that the reverse delta wings generate higher lift-to-drag ratio and have better longitudinal static stability characteristics compared to the delta *** wing thickness has favorable effect on longitudinal static stability for the reverse delta wing whereas longitudinal static stability is not influenced by wing thickness for the delta *** reverse delta wings,the anhe-draled wing without cropping has adverse effect on aerodynamic performance and decreases the lift-to-drag *** in anhedraled wing causes significant improvement in lift-to-drag ratio,shift in aerodynamic and pressure centers towards the trailing-edge,and enhancement in longitudi-nal static stability.

Effect of air annealing on the optical electrical and structural properties of In_2S_3 films

The effect of the annealing temperature Ta on the optical, electrical and structural properties of the In2S3 films obtained by the spray pyrolysis method at 350℃ substrate temperature was studied. All the In2S3 films annealed in the range from 100 to 400℃ are polycrystalline with (220) preferential orientation. The resistivity decreases as Ta increases until it reaches a value of 25 Ohm-cm for Ta=400℃. The grain size also increases when Ta increases as observed in data calculated from X-ray measurements. XRD data indicates that samples show microstructural perfection improvement as a function of annealing temperature.

Enhanced catalytic activity of monodispersed AgPd alloy nanoparticles assembled on mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride for the hydrolytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane under sunlight

We address the composition-controlled synthesis of monodispersed AgPd alloy nanoparticles （NPs）, their assembly for the first time on mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride （mpg-C3N4）, and the unprecedented catalysis of mpg-CgN4@AgPd in the hydrolytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane （AB） at room temperature. Monodispersed AgPd alloy NPs were synthesized using a high-temperature organic-phase surfactant-assisted protocol comprising the co-reduction of silver（I） acetate and palladium（II） acetylacetonate in the presence of oleylamine, oleic acid, and 1-0ctadecene. This protocol allowed the synthesis of four different compositions of AgPd alloy NPs. The AgPd alloy NPs were then assembled on mpg-C3N4, reduced graphene oxide, and Ketjenblack using a liquid-phase self-assembly method. Among the three supports tested, the mpg-CBN4@AgPd catalysts provided the best activity because of the Mott-Schottky effect, which was driven by the favorable work function difference between mpg-CBN4 and the metal NPs. Moreover, the activity of the mpg-CBN4@AgPd catalyst was further enhanced by an acetic acid treatment （AAt）, and a record initial turnover frequency of 94.1 mOl（hydrogen）＇mOl（catalyst）-l-min-1 was obtained. Furthermore, the mpg-CBN4@Ag42Pdss-AAt catalyst also showed moderate durability for the hydrolysis of AB. This study also includes a wealth of kinetic data for the mpg-CBN4@AgPd-catalyzed hydrolysis of AB.

In this article, using generalized weighted mean and difference matrix of order m, we introduce the paranormed sequence space l（u, v, p; △（m））, which consist of the sequences whose generalized weighted △（m）-difference means are in the linear space l（p） defined by ***. Also, we determine the basis of this space and compute its α-, β- and γ-duals. Further, we give the characterization of the classes of matrix mappings from l（u, v, p, △（m）） to l∞, c, and co. Finally, we apply the Hausdorff measure of noncompacness to characterize some classes of compact operators given by matrices on the space lp（U, v, △（m））（1 ≤ p 〈 ∞）.
