Cutaneous lesions and disorders in healthy neonates and their relationships with maternal-neonatal factors: a cross-sectional study

Background:Cutaneous lesions are very common in *** a number of studies have reported on their incidence,very little is known about the factors that influence *** set out to investigate a large population of neonates with the aims of achieving an overall picture of neonatal skin manifestations,and examining their relationships with various maternal,neonatal and perinatal ***:This study was conducted on neonates born at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Szeged between June 2013 and July 2015.A total of 4658 consecutive infants underwent a whole-body skin examination within the first 72 hours of extrauterine *** official neonatal medical charts were used to collect data on the history of the participating neonates and on maternal ***:74.35% of the neonates exhibited at least one skin *** major diagnosis groups were transient,benign cutaneous lesions;vascular lesions;traumatic,iatrogenic,congenital or acquired disorders with skin injuries;pigmented lesions;and developmental abnormalities or benign skin *** relationships between the skin findings and six neonatal or maternal factors were examined:gender,gestational age and birth weight of the neonates;maternal age and the number of previous pregnancies of the mothers,and mode and circumstances of the ***:We found several significant correlations between the examined maternal/neonatal factors and the occurrence of birthmarks and neonatal skin *** course,further studies are required to confirm and better understand these associations.

Feasibility Study on Fabrication of Geopolymer Bricks by Wasted Grinding Wheel at Room Temperature

In this study,the feasibility of producing eco-friendly bricks by using geopolymer technology and a waste grinding wheel(WGW)from the grinding wheel industries was ***,in order to meet industrial needs,for instance,in taiwan,approximately 500,000 grinding wheels are used *** is,a large number of“waste”grinding wheels are ***,few studies have been conducted on the use of WGWs as raw materials in geopolymer *** use of geopolymer technology to form bricks can avoid the utilization of clay and cement and even prevent the use of a high-temperature process in ***,it can decrease CO_(2) emission and energy consumption and thus,protect the *** this study,the following three major factors were considered:press-forming pressure(70 and 100 kgf/cm2),NaOH molar concentration(2 and 4m),and the ratio of binder fineaggregate(1:3,1:4,and 1:5).Under these conditions,the specimens were tested using the compressive strength test,water absorption test,microstructure analysis,a freezing–thawing test and toxicity characteristic leaching procedure *** optimal formulation was composed of 1:4 binder fine-aggregate ratio,4m NaOH concentration,and 100-kgf/cm2 ***,we used a WGW and achieved a compressive strength of 50.6 mPa after 28 days,which was greater than 32 mPa and conformed to the Grade A brick standard of National Standards of the Republic of China(13295).In conclusion,this brick fabrication method based on geopolymer technology was not only beneficial to the environment but also improved the efficiency of reutilizing WGW.

Global Navigation Satellites Systems(GNSS)is frequently used for positioning services in various applications,e.g.,pedestrian and vehicular ***,it is well-known that GNSS positioning performs unreliably in urban *** shadow matching is a method of improving accuracy in the cross-street *** position and classification of observed satellite visibility between line-of-sight(LOS)and non-line-of-sight(NLOS)are essential for its *** the conventional LOS/NLOS classification,the classifiers are based on a single feature,extracted from raw GNSS measurements,such as signal noise ratio,pseudorange,elevation angle,*** in urban canyons,these measurements are unstable and unreliable due to the signal reflection and refraction from the surrounding ***,the conventional least square approach for positioning is insufficient to provide accurate initialization for shadow matching in urban *** our study,shadow matching is improved using the initial position from robust estimator and the satellite visibility determined by support vector machine(SVm).The robust estimator has an improved positioning accuracy and the classification rate of SVm classification can reach 91.5%in urban *** important issue is related to satellites with ultra-high or low elevation angles and satellites near the building boundary that are very likely to be *** solving this problem,the SVm classification shows the potential of about 90%classification accuracy for various urban *** the help of these approaches,the shadow matching has a mean error of 10.27 m with 1.44 m in the cross-street direction;these performances are suitable for urban positioning.

γ Radiative Decays to Light Quark Jets and Color Octet mechanism

We study radiative decays of T to light quark jets in nonrelativistic QCD by taking both the color singlet and color octet b^-b operators into consideration. The cut for quark jet energy and cut for the angle between two quark jets are introduced. The sensitivity to the soft and collinear singularities in the loop integrals are greatly reduced by these cuts. With the jet energy cut of about 1 GeV, and the jet angle cut of about 36°, the branching ratio for γ→ rq^- is found to be 8.2 × 10^-4 from color singlet contributions. The color octet contributions could be much larger than that of color singlet, depending on the estimate of the color octet matrix elements. This process may provide a new test for the color octet mechanism in nonrelativistic QCD.

Physical and mechanical properties of municipal solid waste incineration residues with cement and coal fly ash using X-ray Computed Tomography scanners

Propofol pump controls nonconvulsive status epilepticus in a hepatic encephalopathy patient: A case report

BACKGROUND Status epilepticus is an emergent and critical condition which needs management without hesitation. Nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) tends to be less recognized, and its diagnosis is delayed in comparison with overt status epilepticus because of the absence of specific clinical signs. It is often difficult to make a diagnosis, particularly in patients with hepatic encephalopathy. CASE SUmmARY A 38-year-old man with a history of alcoholic liver cirrhosis presented with altered mental status;the initial diagnosis was hepatic encephalopathy. Although optimal treatment for hepatic encephalopathy was administered, the patient's mental status did not improve. A final diagnosis of NCSE was made by continuous electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring. Treatment with levetiracetam and propofol pump was immediately started. The patient’s consciousness gradually improved after discontinuation of propofol therapy, and no further epileptic discharge was observed by EEG monitoring. After 1 wk, the patient returned to full consciousness, and he was able to walk in the hospital ward without assistance. He was discharged with minimal sequela of bilateral conjunctivitis. CONCLUSION In cases of persistent altered mental status without reasonable diagnosis, NCSE should be considered in hepatic encephalopathy patients with persistently altered levels of consciousness, and EEG monitoring is very important. We also recommend propofol as a safe and efficient therapy for NCSE in liver cirrhosis patients.

Post-CmOS processing challenges and design developments of CmOS-mEmS microheaters for local CNT synthesis

Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)can be locally grown on custom-designed CmOS microheaters by a thermal chemical vapour deposition(CVD)process to utilize the sensing capabilities of CNTs in emerging micro-and nanotechnology *** such a direct CmOS-CNT integration,a key requirement is the development of necessary post-processing steps on CmOS chips for fabricating CmOS-mEmS polysilicon heaters that can locally generate the required CNT synthesis temperatures(~650-900℃).In our post-CmOS processing,a subtractive fabrication technique is used for micromachining the polysilicon heaters,where the passivation layers in CmOS are used as masks to protect the *** dielectric etching,it is necessary to achieve high selectivity,uniform etching and a good etch rate to fully expose the polysilicon layers without causing *** achieved successful post-CmOS processing by developing two-step reactive ion etching(RIE)of the SiO2 dielectric layer and making design improvements to a second-generation CmOS *** the dry etching process,CmOS-mEmS microheaters are partially suspended by SiO2 wet etching with minimum damage to the exposed aluminium layers,to obtain high thermal *** fabricated microheaters are then successfully utilized for synthesizing CNTs by a local thermal CVD *** CmOS post-processing challenges and design aspects to fabricate CmOS-mEmS polysilicon microheaters for such high-temperature applications are detailed in this *** developed process for heterogeneous monolithic integration of CmOS-CNT shows promise for wafer-level manufacturing of CNT-based sensors by incorporating additional steps in an already existing foundry CmOS process.

The Influence of Significant Public Health Events on Offline Consumption and Its Pathways

In the face of a significant public health event,consumers may either increase their panic buying or decrease their willingness to make *** study focuses on the impact of a significant public health event on offline store sales and consumer consumption,utilizing data from chain convenience stores in Hefei and Wuhu during early 2019 and early 2020 in *** a difference-in-differences model,the study investigates the effect of the significant public health event outbreak on weekly store sales,order numbers,and consumer consumption in terms of product quantities,transaction amount,average amount per order,and transaction *** from prior literature that finds hoarding behavior of consumers online,the findings of this paper indicate a significant reduction in stores’offline weekly sales and order numbers,as well as consumers’offline weekly consumption across the four dimensions,as a result of the significant public health event ***,employing a mediation model,the study explores the pathway of population mobility through which the significant public health event adversely affects offline ***,subset analysis is conducted for stores located in different areas and consumers with varying characteristics,revealing that the aforementioned conclusions predominantly apply to stores situated in office areas and residential areas,as well as consumers with either no apparent preference for different product categories or a noticeable preference for food.

A Simple and Rapid Label-free Fluorimetric ＂Turn Off-on＂ Sensor for Cadmium Detection Using Glutathione-capped CdS Quantum Dots

A convenient label-free fluorescence（FL） nanoprobe for rapid detection of cadmium（Cd） was established using glutathione-capped CdS quantum dots（QDs） and 1,10-phenanthroline（phen）. The prepared CdS QDs exhibited a strong FL emission at 536 nm, which could be quenched by phen due to the photoinduced hole transfer（PHT） mechanism. The existence of Cd effectively recovered the FL intensity of CdS QDs, which was due to the easy detachment of phen from the surface of QDs to form [Cd（phen）2（H2O）2]2＋ in solution. Cd concentrations were linearly correlated with the FL intensity in the range of 0.0625-1.25 μmol/L under the optimized conditions and the detection limit was 0.01μmol/L. Finally, the Cd concentration was accurately quantified in real water sample using the proposed sensor.
